posted a message on 60€ for a DIGITAL copy?
It's that price for two reasons. First, it's ActiBlizz, and with the asshole of assholes at the helm (Bobby Kotick), they will squeeze every penny out it's customers they can. Secondly, because they can, the popularity and demand for the game allows it.

So, therefore the only way to prevent this is to stop being a sucker and vote with your wallet. Otherwise, pay up or do without...

Human error, which is why they shouldn't do this crap through social media.

I'm really getting tired of the hoops. It's nothing but false hope, and yet some have gotten multiple keys throughout the beta test.

posted a message on Pvp Updates
I could really care less about Blizz cutting PVP for release. PVP in Diablo is and has always been nothing more than an e-peen pissing contest anyway, it's pointless. The fun of Diablo, at least in my opinion has always been slaying monsters with friends anyway.

So what if the e-peen crowd has to wait a little longer for their precious (but meaningless) PVP arena.

However, I'm no fanboy, and there are plenty of things they've cut, changed entirely, left out, or otherwise didn't include which have me quite irate, but there isn't much I can do except not play it. Sadly, I've already pre-ordered this steaming turd (the money has already been spent), and I don't want to go through the hassle of cancelling.

While Runic might not make near the cash Blizz will, they will make plenty from disgruntled Diablo fans. I've often said that Torchlight 2 will eventually be seen as the better game (it's one of those games that slowly rises and becomes a cult classic); Diablo 3 will be hot for five minutes, but Torchlight 2 has the potential to last for years.

They have already said that a console diablo will be an entirely new endeavor, separate and apart from D3. On top of being a completely separate project, it will be YEARS before we even get so much as a glimpse at it.

D3's design has nothing to do with a console version.

It is your choice to believe those statements, I however do not. Call it intuition, or whatever you wish, but I know bullsh*t when I see it.

The reason the UI is designed as it currently is to account for limitations in a console environment (most importantly, the limitations of a controller). It is obvious in game development that when designing a game for multiple platforms, the development is focused on a single product (to save development costs) for the most used environment, and then that product will then be portted to whatever other environment is necessary. So I think its clear with the UI designed as it is, the D3 team is focussed on the console environment, while PC players will have to settle for a crappy port with a cumbersome UI. I'm not opposed to a console version, what I'm opposed to is a console version while the PC version suffers. Each of these versions should have their own development track, where neither experience would suffer as a result of them having a shared development track.

The team is developing for the widest audience possible, and that means catering to what I like to call the lowest common dumbass. All the while, those of us with more than two brain cells get stuck playing a modern version of pacman. I'm not suggesting that my opinion should reign supreme over all others, however I do feel that the team is disenfranchising a large group of gamers, which are quite frankly, highly irritated if not completely pissed.

My philosophy has always been that hardcore players should be able to screw up their characters as they choose, while casuals can be provided with a 'guided' experience. I think this approach is better suited to "easy to play, difficult to master".

In the end, I knew when it was first mentioned that the team would be looking at a console version, I knew all of us PC players were going to get screwed. Their statement(s) that console development wouldn't affect the PC development was simply a damned lie and a classic marketing runaround, because as is common knowledge, one product is developed and ported wherever necessary, and developing more than one is cost prohibitive.

First I'd like to say ROFL D3 has MMO stats......

With the incredibly loose definitions as to what passes for MMOs these days, Diablo 3 is an MMO. Massively Online Playing Alone Together.

    Quote from lorien1973

Torchlight 2 is vaporware. Or, they are reinventing the entire system to work with consoles (most likely).

I don't think Torchlight 2 is any more vaporware than Diablo 3 at this point.

posted a message on Is Logo Contest cancelled?
I think it's only fair that a winning entry be chosen and compensated in some form, even if not in the way previously specified. However given the 'legal' situation, I doubt we will see that outcome. There was no legal binding contract, the new site owner(s) has no obligation to honor a site contest started by the previous owner(s), and therefore there isn't much we entrants can do about it. In this regard, we are subject to the wishes of the site's new owner(s).

    Second, some Gradient Options

Thirdly, the Black and White Options

And Lastly, a couple Solid Color Options
