Dec 11, 2008Irrational posted a message on Avatars Return to DiabloFans.comOh well... Being a newb is never good thing. I can see your point. I personally don't care, but I still have a divided opinion about the identification thing.Posted in: News

Dec 10, 2008Irrational posted a message on Avatars Return to DiabloFans.comNo no no. I said that to Equinox after he made a comment to me about me being a spammer.Posted in: News
But now when I actually think about it, I think this entire idea of X amount of posts and Y amount of months for an avatar seems kind of pointless since it kills the entire sense of identification which an avatar is supposed to bring. And I'm not just saying this because then my avatar privileges will be taken away. -

If you think so, may I have an explanation why? -

Does the avatar simply help you to visually remember better who to avoid/read/whatever?
or
Does the avatar tell you what kind of person they are and therefor helping you to avoid/read/whatever?
or
Both?
That was my question at first to Equinox. -

That's why I thought we had avatars. -

Dec 10, 2008Irrational posted a message on Avatars Return to DiabloFans.comPosted in: NewsQuote from "Equinox" »Well, my persona opinion is that there is a lot of spammers on this forum, and they're not being controlled all that well... they destroy this forum. Avatars allow us to single out spammers visually, so when we read a topic we check all the avatars of the cool people we know and we know their posts are worth reading. Gives an incentive to read and to post.
It's all psychology.
Are you saying that you identify them by the avatar or tell that they are a spammer by the avatar? -
Dec 9, 2008Irrational posted a message on Avatars Return to DiabloFans.comI like that idea, even though you'll all be staring at "deathMars" instead of a nice picture for a while, but whatever. You're the boss, Mr. Fish.Posted in: News

Dec 8, 2008Irrational posted a message on Bashiok Explains All Diablo 3 Classes And Act 1 Are Not DonePosted in: NewsQuote from "okok9" »how long it could take to make 1act done?
i saw titan quest was done very fastly - few years..
and here...it seems each act they are making longer than 1year..
It depends on the act: the size, the landscape, people, quests, side-quests, etc. I'd guess 7 months or so, but thats a guess from someone who has no idea about game programming.

Didn't explain the main trick, liked the ending, music was horrible, great plot though.

Seriously, even though Act 3 is absolutely amazing the biggest disappointment is seeing how bland the battlefields were. I wanted to see more soldiers getting their ass handed to them and endless hordes of demons. It honestly felt just like another area. I wanted to see more chaos and stuff happpening around me. Like remember when you were walking around Stonefort and seeing the battle below you and saying "God I can't wait to go down there"? Epic disappointment.
Besides that, Act 3 is amazing. Don't change anything! (Azmodan is a bad ass)
2. Make Heaven Bigger
Even though Diablo 2's Act 4 was very short, you felt like you explored a decent amount of Hell because the area was more open. Act 4 in Diablo 3 had potential to be INCREDIBLE yet I felt that you were exploring what should have been the end of Act 4. I wanted to walk through the corrupted fog on the bottom where the background was and see the absolute horror going around in heaven. I wanted to walk around more and see what Heaven was instead of just jumping into the Spire and killing Diablo. Add more open areas and have a bigger build up.
3. Make Imperius a Boss
Okay honestly, the build up to face Imperius can't be denied and I was honestly pissed that I coudn't fight him. Like seriously, what the hell? You talk to him, he taunts you, and when he finally confronts you, he falls over like a rag doll. If I was Jesus, this is what I would do to the game with Imperius:
I would make Imperius the Boss of Act 4. There I said it. I would make Diablo succeed in taking over Heaven and have Imperius be the final boss of the game, leaving room for the expansion. Another aspect of the game was that it was advertised as being the "End Times". Seriously, the story came nowhere close. Belial got butt fucked before he could even take down one city, Azmodan's invasion was defeated even before it moved one kilometer, and Diablo got killed way to fast. I know the stakes were higher but it didn't honestly feel like a global war and that everything was going down to shit.
Like I said, I would make Diablo succeed in taking over Heaven and have Imperius try and kill you and Tyrael or something of that sort. It would be epic. The arena could be nothing but corruption so it could be very dark. His one liners would be epic as shit. God just thinking about it makes me sad. If they did this, the expansions would be set. You could have the next act have Diablo destroying the World of Sanctuary city by city until he goes down to Hell to take it back over. It would add that feeling of despair that evil truly succeeded in destroying everything, until literally the last second humanity brought him down.
Ughh...
I hope you enjoyed by wishes/rant. I still think this is an amazing game. Solid 9/10. Favorite game of the year and gives reason why Blizzard is the best gaming company of all time.

I went by the name of deathMars (that was my d2jsp was well) but I changed my name for unknown reasons. I've been kind of ghosting for a bit now but I'm going to come back as a more active poster.
I have two level 60's, a demon hunter that cleared Inferno and a Barbarian in Act 2 Inferno. If anyone wants to play with me, just message me and I can help ya out on demon hunters.
If anyone doesn't know, I'm 18, I live in Portland, Oregon, and I'm going to be heading out to Oregon State University this coming fall.
Don't hesitate to hit me up. I play all the time and I like to meet new people.

First off, here are the ideal stats you need to survive:
80k Damage
25k Life
350+ resists
450+ Fire Resist
About 15 Crit Chance w/o Sharpshooter
You can get this around 4-5 mil easy.
Also don't bother wasting millions on attack spead with a 2H Crossbow. Get a 2H Bow and 15 IAS Quiver.
Essentially, you stack up on Crit Damage with your bow, rings, amulet, and gloves. Try to get all resists and Fire Resist on everything else. Max up your sockets and socket everything with Emeralds except your helm (Amethyst). Get enough Dex to have around 1700+.
For skills, I would have this:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#URYgVS!ceT!YcZYcc
Shadow Power to avoid be able to tank a little bit, and to use with Nether Tentacles to heal very fast in combat. Stun Grenades to stun enemies to tank up Hatred for Spike Traps, your primary form of attack. You are going to use Caltrops all the time. It's very useful.
I have beaten Inferno with this build. It's a very easy to use build and relatively cheap.

However we all live in the natural world. What you are talking about is a complete other issue. Just because we cannot prove that we all see the world like the other man or that the world is just a matrix doesn't make the validity of Gods any different.

Anyways... Unless there is a literal proof of suspensions of the natural world (aka religious beliefs), there are only possibilities. I have said this three times and I will say it again, you CANNOT prove that your God exists, and that is the unfortunate reality for religion. You are wrong until you are right
Thank you!
