    Gotta love dirty humor :)

We should have this be a forum game. Someone give a topic and the next person should come up with something that's on that topic, but sounds dirty.

God, Mephisto I find your lack of common sense disturbing. I love how you take my one line and take it completely out of context when this entire thread could get anybody banned for "religious discrimination". If you want to debate, be prepared to be called out on your bullshit or please don't be part of this because I have a feeling that you are posting just to feel... what do you call it... "big".

I would much rather believe in the harsh truth than the comforting lie, but apparently, that's just a "matter of opinion". I posted on your response to that and I would like to remind you that you also use quite "interesting" words to label other people's opinions, do please don't be a hypocrite. If you want to get me banned, please try. I am honestly sick of you coming into threads, posting opinions, and when people respond to it, you laugh at it and ruin the entire thread because you have to act like a troll in everything you do.

But hey, I guess that's just a matter of opinion.

Actually he is right. Anybody with a scientific degree is usually not religious. Most college professors are atheist, usually those in mathematics, physics, chemistry, philosophy, biology (especially this one), etc. There is no taboo in science, and saying that there is might be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.

Anathemic... I'm sorry but I have to say this, even though I'm not really part of this thread anymore.

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, and I mean this in the nicest of ways. The Vatican only supports what it wants to support, yet its stance on gay marriage, evolution, etc have not changed. They only follow science to improve their image since the pope so wisely said that "Condoms should not be used in Africa!"

Science is proven. Science is measurable. Deities are not. They are simply the imagination of a human mind. How can you not prove the rain isn't a God crying? Yes you have the water cycle and the complex phase changes water goes through, but how do you not know that God isn't crying then? Every thing might add up to it, but the reason why we don't believe in it is because it is human imagination, and it doesn't get us anywhere. It is simply just an idea.

And let me say this, just because you cannot prove does not exist DOES NOT mean it doesn't exist.

Also cut the crap with "discriminatory" everyone. This thread is really MY thread so people argue peacefully, or I'll call a mod and ask them to close this. People's religion will criticized here, so don't be surprised and offended if they are. It's just how debates work. People call it out, and people use the religion taboo to get attention and make people feel bad for them. Everything here is a troll and a flame if we really want to be like that.

    Thank you.

There is evidence of observed speciation among the human age, and we have recorded them: http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-speciation.html

However, the reason I support Richard Dawkins and thunderf00t and many other amazing scientists out there is because they fight fire with fire. I personally feel that religion has been attacking the scientific method too long and they are trying to slow down the academic progress. It's just nice to see someone bash religion for their beliefs instead of the exact opposite, which happens to often.

Personally, I believe that the topic of religion is way too tabooed when it shouldn't be.

Where there is religion, there is war.

    Name who said that.
Where there are people there are war. You are one of those people that hates religion because it "causes wars" huh?

This is an assumption you made on my statement, but I am pretty sure I just meant that where there are religious debates, things tend to get heated. But I don't know, I can be lying to myself ;)

But honestly, you are right. I personally dislike religion and any other part of it. I believe that the fantasy of a supernatural deity slows down technological and scientific progress, which is essential for the survival of the human civilization. But before you go off saying this is a flame against religion, let me tell you that it is not. This is my personal belief on religion, and we are discussing it in a "share your religious beliefs" thread. I am not judgmental on people who are religious, as some of my closest friends are religious. I just do not wish religion to exist in the scientific arena because there are people out there (Kent Hovind) who will stop at nothing to eliminate scientific knowledge in our schools and substitute it with Biblical fantasies.

Everything in life is just a really complex molecular properties, because everything is made up of molecules. Molecules are really the most complex atomic combination, and it everything else is just "teamwork". Like a soccer team. You can make the argument that alone, the soccer team cannot win, but if it works as a team, it wins. It really works the same way (but a lot more complex).

So, according to your "everything is made up of molecules" the things that actually constitute molecules...are....uhhh...wait...THEY'RE ALSO MADE UP OF MOLECULES? You just divided by zero.

Umm... We are made up of molecules and atoms. I thought that was a trivial essence of the universe, or has my entire science education lied to me? Yes, we have atoms in us, so I wish you can please forgive my lack of ability of writing "and atoms" after molecules.

Also, you are getting emotional about this. I did not "divide by zero". I merely thought that anyone who has any sense of scientific knowledge would understand my statement, and you seemed have demonstrated until this point that you have some level of science. I hoped that you can see through that and know that I know things are made up of atoms, quarks, neutrons, electrons, protons, etc.

By saying that everything is made up of molecules, it would be like saying that all life is made up of cells. You make the assumption that people know that you understand that cells are not the smallest entity of matter. I am sorry for taking that assumption and I will make myself clearer next time.
