It's been a confirmed currency, not the confirmed currency. Item trading will still be an accessible option, so there will probably be multiple other ones created by players as the game gets older, like gems and such, I'd imagine.

I think even gems will have gold currency so we don't need to know what's the value equality of an items when every items are converted in gold when traded...

Is there a "game" where you can enter an auction hall or is it text based in the chat. We will see...

... text based in the chat ??? in 2010 ? lol

only idiots pay for items with real money
AHAH yes I agree, but I hope Blizzard will counter that.

i can see diablo dropping 50-100g in hell mode. and 10-20 in nightmare quite comfortably. though that means the odd gold coin off the odd zombie should be umcommon as rares.
Yes I strongly agree !! I hate when the first amount of gold you found is 10. Damn cut the zero on everything...

The engine does not generate animations if that´s what you thinking.

Just look it up, anyway for your sake animations can be compared to moving your body using your brain and muscles. While physics in this case is gravity (falling down a cliff for example). Total different ways of movement.

I hope ya get it, don't want to explain it in extreme high detail.
Basic point is, physics engines do not animate models to fight, walk, and what not. Those are animations, made by the makers of the game beforehand. Hence why models need 100's of animations.

    ahahah !!

    I do some 3D...

Havok have a ragdoll, it's a program with physics, you set a force (damage), an impact point and the gravity and the collisions are made by itself (pre-programming)... Yes it's only for death... the rest is animation likely done by blizzard because the few default animation is not really great...

You can release a beta for the game perhaps 3 or 6 months before release but no sooner. What's the point otherwise?

It's depending about only few thing, number of bugs found/quality of the testers (and plan test) and programming structure (easiness to work inside without break other things)

SO it's can take less or more... example: duke nuken forever never release since 1997... (many works are constantly became old, if they wanted to follow the quality of the new tech.)

While you gain fury when you take hits, if you want make a build with huge amount of defense, do you think it's will be disadvantageous because you will miss fury because you avoid and block every hits...

Do you think it's will be better to decreasing your armor to gain faster fury ?

It's still a melee spell since the spell have no range.
And melee attacks can have AoE (ww, cleave).

oh misunderstood... I consider melee as "normal" attack (left click) with your weapon... for me spell is another thing... You call that melee and me I'm inclined to say no/small range spell. Anyway...

I considered and used HoZ and Alma Negra, but for melee, damage reduction, defense, and blocking is the most important mod for the frostie shield. Alma Negra is the second best for the +ed, ar, and +2 skills, and HoZ is great for all the reasons paladins use it.
I completly not understand what you're talking about, I think you post in a wrong thread !!

Woow, you draw a beautiful skill tree... lol, I remember Blizzard don't want "tree" in sense NO skill pre-requ. only lvl requirment.

if you get 1 point per level, then you get to put them in a variety of skills since you can't increase 1 particular skills. Each skill could be upgraded at different levels.

bah, I really don't like that !!! it's decrease the customization...
What, everyone will have the same build ?!?!! IF the game don't let you the choice, it's mean you're forced to put point or keep it for later (I don't think Blizzard want that).

yeah, maybe all skills have the potential to be as damaging end game. Maybe they just put a limit on character level on when you can level up that skill.

    For example:
    lvl 1 skull of flame - 6-8dmg
    lvl 2 skull of flame - 25-30dmg
lvl 3 skull of flame - 100-125 dmg

but you can't level up skull of flame to lvl 2 until you reach clvl 10 and lvl 3 skull of flame at clvl 20. That way all skills are viable end game and it is more of a preference of what you like to use rather than which one is the most damaging.

mmmmm if we got 1 point each level, it can't work (you will have too free point while you have every available skill with 1 point inside)... And It break a little bit the customization...

    What I see it's :
    lvl 1 - 12-18
    lvl 2 - 22-34
    lvl 3 - 34-48
    ....
    Damage * (character lvl/1.5~)

^ It is thinking like this that causes Blizzard to redesign how skills work. Blizzard doesn't want everyone to just bypass the early spells and max out end level ones. I think that they will be making first level skills effective end game through leveling and skill runes. Blizzard wants every class to have a multitude of different skills to use and not just the same three at high level. I think that this is why they got rod of the tier system.

I think Skull of Flame will still be very effective throughout the entire game. I would like to add the rune that causes it to splash and leave an AoE.

Yes right !! I hurry to see how it will work !!

I see a single way to make first skill useful = % instead of a static number.
That and like you said runes :)

How do we know that WD's Fire Bomb is going to be ineffective. It did not look to strong in the original trailer but it likely got better since then.

I don't know, it's a normal spell (duty of wiz)
WD to me sound summoner and debuff not caster...

Do you think a first tier spell maxed can be effective at the end ? you indend to maxed it and always use it ONLY ?? because to me it's a waste of skill point, you better to maxed end level skill...
