posted a message on In game bug or is it just me.

I though you only broke their armour with crits? Like, just one or two crits would break it. When I ran my U6 monk with BP it were very noticeable when BP hadn't procced. I just couldn't burn through that armour, but one hit from a crit just shattered it.

Just a "on the move" observation from previous patch mixed with opinion. Most likely not the case but if someone could confirm or deny this I'd be happy.

Totally feel like not botting. Why would I? Doesn't matter if you're not punished hard enough for it, it's against the rules and should not be used. Play the game as it's meant to be, no botting, no thirdparty software. Good luck in season five everyone!

I would contact Blizzard and see if they could remove the "exploited" paragons and report the player as well as ignoring him/her if you can do that on console.

Such an annoying behaviour! Would be really pissed if that happened to me. Wouldn't be as pissed if I could reset my paragons myself though, then I could've just left the game, reported that douche and reset my paras.

Did that, was still confused! ... or maybe I just don't trust myself and my conclusions.

    @Bagstone:
I'm sure you'll have a countdown :P Though since it's not up yet and I need to plan ahead my confusion had to end! Must know when I should call it a day at work. Can't risk missing the super laggy first ten minutes of a season!

Still hate time zones or rather my inability to understand them.

I hate time and their zones. Always makes me confused. Could you guys help clarify this?

I live in Sweden, that's UTC +01:00. Would that mean 5 p.m. CET equals 16:00 UTC and then +1h for Sweden aka 17:00?

Monk for life! I'll also throw in some kind of DH in the mix.

    MHM:
Do you know if you can complete the set dungeons as soon as 2.4 hits? Meaning I could complete as many dungeons as possible on my now NS chars before the real season starts?

posted a message on How to prepare for 2.4??

I'm a season dude and tend to only play one character through the whole season, to max it. However, would it be possible to farm sets now and then during "off-season" complete the set dungeons so that you have the wings at the start of the season?

posted a message on broken promises; what does "consectuive non-critical hits" mean.
    Quote from Shapookya»

No, you have to do 5 attacks, i.e. use your skills 5 times in a row. It doesn't matter how many targets you hit to activate the 100% buff. It has to be 5 separate uses of your skills.

It DOES matter how many targets you hit, though, in the meaning that if you crit only one of those targets, your counter gets reset. That means, this ring is bad for aoe, since with 5% critchance it's still very likely to crit something when you attack 10 or 20 monsters at once.

This ring needs to give -5% critchance as extra primary affix (maybe with more needed attacks for the proc to balance it out), because with the way it works right now it's too unreliable. It's good in singletarget but garbage in aoe.

Aight, that's what I thought, though the wording on that affix could benefit from a change from hits to attacks, maybe?

It means if you have 5 attacks in a row that do not score a crit, your crit chance is then buffed to 100% for 3 seconds

    Quote from Okakeri»

    Quote from yurmy»

I mentioned this before and no one answered. I suck at math and from what I understand a 100% of something in d3 doesn't mean it WILL happen. So my question is. If you pumped up your attack speed to 2.00 and had a 50% crit hit chance wouldn't you theoretically crit once per attack? Why would this be better to crit once every five attacks? It seems like unless it gives a 100% of your chd in the process that it just wouldn't stand up against a standard crit build.

Its actually for a very low crit/high AS speed build. Monks, for instance, can land all 5 hits needed to proc this in less then a second, and then you can enjoy 100% crit for 5 seconds. In this case, the power of this ring is equivalent to 83% crit chance.

Unfortunately though, it is not easy to get only 5% crit chance, and you have to take into account the fact that ALL hits of a single hit count, so if you get a single crit in a large group, it doesn't proc.
Which means it isn't calculated from attacks but rather on hits from each attack? "After 5 consecutive non-critical hits, your chance to critically hit is increased to 100% for 3 seconds." -> if you do one attack and that attack does damage to 5 targets none which crits, then you activate BP. Or is this super false?

OK I see. Correct me if I am wrong, are you talking about a legendary affix? Otherwise, I do not see how a blue (primary) stat can be cubed?!

Ah, I meant "blue" as in Blizzard employee not a primary stat :P I though I saw a post from good ol' Blizz saying that you could extract new legendary affixes from a 2.3 legendary.
    Quote from Umbrasjg»

Ok, now I'm totally confused. I apologize in advance.

If I have a 2.3 version of a Legendary item, say an Ancient Gifted Gavel of Judgement with +34% Damage increase and the 2.4 version is 75% - 100% and I use the Reforge Legendary Cube what will happen?

Thanks, and again, sorry to ask.....

It seems as if you will only reroll it into a new 2.3 version, not a 2.4 version.

True. however, you can still extract their new version's power from a 2.3 item. So if you save none reworked legendarys and then extract them via the cube in 2.4, then you'll get the new power extracted :)
    Excuse me??!
OK, since Fist of Az got new range 250-300% EP damage (instead of 75-100%), the Kanai entry on PTR dissapeared, I managed to put in one of my old Fist (with up to 100% range) and it extracted as 300% EP damage.
However, having an old Justice Lantern (without orange text) and trying to extract that it didn't work (as expected).
So, this might differ for some items, needs to be checked.
I see. Think I read a blue about it on some diablofans news... maybe I remembered wrong? Were pretty sure you could use old legends to extract their new powers. I'll see if I can find that blue!

Also, already extracted powers which is modified (like Az) must be re-extracted or do they work retroactive like set bonuses?

    Personally, I'm collecting:

    1) grift keystones in preparation for the change in difficulty on non-4 player games; each player not present removes a quarter of the monster health you would experience in a 4 player, not a fifth as is currently seen. This will make it easier to hit a higher gem level in solo play.

    2) collecting the legendary items that are set to gain new powers (aquila cuirass, justice lantern, hammer jammers etc) in preparation for the cube. Worst case scenario it's reforge then extract, best is a straight extraction.

    3) any and all set pieces that drop for the reworked sets.

I'm also attempting to decide which set I fancy the most from the seasons journey - Might of the Earth, Thorns of the Invoker, The Shadow's Mantle, Monkey Kings Garb, Jade Harvester or Firebird's Finery.

    2.) they arent retroactive

posted a message on D3 has no endgame.

What is endgame? Does a game which you complete lack endgame? Can endgame be completed or is its activity's unending? You can always grind exp, you can always push leaderboards or hunt for the perfect loot. What disqualifies those activity's to be endgame? I'm very curious about this.
