Will Legendary/Set items have their own unique graphics independent of the "tier" sets or will they look the same?
JasonBender: Legendary items and set always have unique art, stats, names and flavor text.

This is not a clear answer..... I hate when they do this... The question was clearly directed at how the legendary/set items look on your character model not the inventory screen.....Gah this was the only answer I was wanting to hear from this interview! Everything else is old news.

posted a message on Easy to Use Filter That Makes Diablo III Look More Like Diablo
I prefer the game how it was designed. We've seen this much || of a game this big |------------------------------------------------------------|.....

Cheers to posting a video with slightly darker contrast so you could get the addaboys and hoorays from a bunch of random people. Blizzard 1,000,000; people who think they could have made the game so much better still 0.

posted a message on Legendary/Set Items
Hey, I'm wondering if anyone knows of any quotes regarding how sets and legendary items will work. Are legendary/set items going to look unique on your character in game or just in the inventory? Have they talked at all about how sets are incorporated....I remember they were saying they wanted to make them more of a viable option than they were in D2.

    Thanks!

posted a message on DiabloFans Calculator Build Contest (ONE POST ONLY)
    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#eZigPV!hid!aZccZZ

My Witch Doctor build can be found at the above link.

    Justification:
Firebomb (Fire Pit) with Grasp of the dead (Unbreakable Grasp) should give me the ability to slow enemies down enough to get efficient accurate shots of fire at the baddies. I back that up with Fetish army (Devoted Following) that causes a little bit of chaos and directs at least some enemy fire away from me. Acid cloud (Corpse Bomb) should provide another direct shot method to place specific shots on enemies that are slowed by my mob and grasp of the dead. Add in a little spirit barrage (Manitou) and I've got some protection if anybody gets too close. Plus it's automated so I don't need to micro manage it. I'll throw in some firebats (vampire) for health regen in the absence of potions/globes and some spray to cause a bit more damage.

My passives are death trance for added protection when things get tough; Tribal Rites to allow more constant Fetish Armies; and Bad medicine since I'll be using poison dmg and want to reduce dmg whenever I can.

After writing this, I'm getting even more excited to try it out..... Hint hint, c'mon Blizzard ;)

    Thanks!

posted a message on Why do you melee/Barb?
I Barb because I can..... And because I love busting into the action. I'll gladly leap attack into a swarm of baddies and tank for a range char. I think Diablo 3 is going to do a way better job of making the D3 melee chars feel a lot more viceral and destructive. It was kind of hard to get that feeling in D2 with the same whwhwhwhwhwhwhwhwhwh from whirlwind or thud thud thud from a club conc or berserk swing. In d3 I'll be switching from badass skill to badass skill trying to spend fury as fast as I can build it up. I'm really excited about the Barb in particular.

Looking forward to sending my first zombie hurling through the air!

The spell looks lame....I know not every spell needs to be over-the-top, Jerry Bruckheimer style, but the animations don't even look good or well timed. Here's to hoping this one is still being tweaked.

    Cheers.

So when do we think this game is gonna be released? Obviously "when it's done" but do we think based on all the new content they're showing, all classes revealed, most of the game systems revealed, a beta is coming anytime soon? like in the next 4-6 months? It just feels like they've got a ton of work done since last Blizzcon.

    Quote from VladDracul

I heard the male will be "sexy" as well which scares me, I don't play Diablo to have a "sexy" character. The male better look like a badass and not some emo looking vagina.

    Agreed.

I am wondering. Are the only good weapons for the Demon Hunter going to be crossbows? They say the class can use "Bows/Crossbows" but other than their earlier concepts (2nd ones they showed look bad ass btw) crossbows are the main feature. Anybody know?

posted a message on Change the way the character moves in D3?
People are complaining about enough changes as it is. "This is so far from the essence of what Diablo is.... Blah blah blah." In my opinion this would only cause more people to gripe because it's a shift away from the way the previous games were played. Also, it's something they don't need to change since we've been moving around with the mouse for so many years w/out any problems. I don't think it adds anything to the play experience. I know they won't change the movement and I'm glad.

Junction3 hit the nail on the head with diagonal movement.

moving camera with mouse bring many bugssssss, like camera behind a wall... etc.

The walls disappear or fade when your character is behind them. I thought this was evident in the reveal gameplay trailer.

posted a message on Skills Speculation
I duno if this thread already exists, i searched but didnt find anything.

UPDATE: Okay so Airandius did post something about skills not too long ago, but this thread is more about the skill system in general. Coming up with different ideas and guesses as to what Blizzard is conjuring up behind closed doors....Large, heavy ones.

My question is does anyone have any idea what they might be doing now that "skill trees" aren't being used? (or at least they are trying something different atm)

I am just curious how they would handle the 3 skill concentrations per character. The Wizard has Arcane, Conjuring, and Storm. The Barbarian has Battlemaster, Juggernaut, and Berserker. etc, etc....

Do you think they will still have the different skill types/divisions and if so, how are they going to do that without a tree-like structure? Is it going to be tiered? Meaning, you have to spend X amount of skill points in tier 1 of the Arcane skills in order to move to the next tier and so on. If it is tiered, what will the structure or layout of skills be like within each tier? Would it be free reign on all the skills within that tier once you reach or unlock it?

    Any ideas?

I'm with Duffman on this one. A head konking hammer or a massive axe is probably what I'll use. But I've only seen a few items...My decision awaits D3's release i guess.
