I'd be willing to play some LOD. I get on East quite a bit. I also play the Eastern Sun mod.

    Account on East:

Do you want to play Hardcore or normal? I prefer HC but am up for either :P

I think it would be logical to assume they're saving that kind of stuff for when we get to major boss areas (which I don't think we've seen yet?).

Yeah. I agree with this. I think things will get grittier or more gruesome the closer we get to something big. Like a boss. Act 1 had some random dead rogues throughout but they were definately more abundant the closer we got to the Cathedral and Andariel. There was also the creepy altar with blood everywhere in the Cathedral. I think we'll see some specific areas like Seth said. He also makes a great point that if gore was spammed throughout the game it'd lose its effect.

Well, you apparently have not looked hard enough. I'm not going to go dig it up but there is a picture of a few soldiers standing guard over horse carriage size wheel barrels filled to the brim with bodies. They are providing a taste of whats to come. They have not revealed too much of anything yet.

Yeah I do remember that. The Wizard is standing next to a pile of burning bodies I think? I'll dig it up :P

    I found it! Here:

We haven't really been exposed to very many areas and they are still changing things constantly. Maybe they just haven't made a final decision on what the bodies lying around or on pikes should look like :P Like Metzcrag said, I think it's just too early to tell.

    Welcome btw! :)

Yeah the potions for your merc. You can press and hold shift and click on the potion you want to give him/her. Or you can press and hold shift and press 1-4 on the keyboard. Either way. I think people already covered this, but I wanted it to be clear to you that there 2 different ways. :)

Yeah man, they probably just don't have the gear ready to show off yet.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, but I just wasn't sure if anyone knew of any existing screenies/videos showing diffierent gear that I missed.

    :)

I went through all the screen shots on the official D3 website and I noticed that the Witch Doctor looks very similar in each shot. I think the armor looks sweet especially in this picture:
    http://us.blizzard.com/diablo3/_images/screenshots/ss16-hires.jpg

But I noticed it's always purple, with a few exceptions where the female WD has some red garb on. I wonder if anyone knows of any videos or images of the WD with some different loooking armor than what is on the Blizz D3 site? I saw the concept of the male WD and he looks freaking cool, with an orange color on his gear. I hope we get some variation other than purple. :P I'm sure they didn't have much variation in the items at that time, but I'm hoping for more images soon! :)

    @ Italofoca:

Are you talking about the fact that having more players in the game increases the drop rates, while also making it harder i.e. "Diablo's minions grow stronger"

I think some people lose sight of the fact that you CAN find gear without magic find in D2. Magic find isn't what is keeping the game going, its the simple ability to get cool gear. If you take away magic find, people would still be farming up gear.

I did ALL my farming without ever using special magic find gear. I would naturally choose whatever I thought was the most powerful gear, because that was just way more awesome to me. Maybe I didn't have the same drop rates as someone with 600% + magic find, but that was at least negated in part by the fact that I could do runs much more quickly.

So magic find isn't specifically what makes the game. Its the drops and the gear!

But you don't find good gear as often w/out MF :P

I think the biggest problem people have is that certain character types (casters) aren't effected as negatively by wearing MF gear, as melee characters are. I'm not really sure how they can changes this. Some interesting ideas have come up but I'm not sold on anything in particular yet. Maybe they could limit the MF bonus to charms, or some specific item type. Or maybe they should make it so casters are effected more when wearing MF compared to Power gear. Or should melee chars just be affected less? I dunno. I don't have enough time to come up with, and test the perfect answer, so I'll leave it up to Blizz :P

The shrine idea isn't a bad one, Airandius! Maybe you could develop this idea further :)

Also, the ability to teleport right to bosses made it a quick repeatable process. With the new teleport in D3 I think this will be remedied. In fact, I think that might solve a lot of the problem people have with mfing. People will be forced to battle their way to bosses/ or whatever they wanna get to.

I hope they do not close off bosses, or not allow them to respawn once we've killed them...That would make me terribly sad. I love boss fights. Especially since they are looking at ways to make boss fights more challenging and interactive in D3. That would be wasted effort if we only got to fight them once per diff per char.

Awe man I love so much about D2.

NPC dialogue, Bosses Dialogue "Looking for Baal>????" "Not even death can save you from me!"

    AHHHHHH! Luv it.

Music is sweet too. I also love what the characters say during/completing quests. "The rogues are safe, for the moment."
