The new classes are definately on the top of my list of things I wanna know about D3. However, Snowfreak is right that there are some important game features we haven't heard a lot about(Talisman, crafting, etc). I'm really just dying to get another video full of some new content like the announcement video.
As for release date, "When it's done....."
Id say the realease date is a ways off and I'd rather not hear that it's coming in 2011 so I can still hope for 2010!!

Apr 28, 2009Legilimens posted a message on How Long Is Too Long For Game Development?Of course we all want a great game. I kind of agree with Snowfreak in that it depends. Not so much on genre, but on the game itself. Some games will just be easier to develop than others. I think with Diablo 3 it has been a longer process because it has to live up to, and then surpass the previous two installments in the series. There are just a lot of expectations of this game, along with SC2.Posted in: News
They also have the resources to punch out a great game in a reasonable amount of time and I'd be dissapointed if it took them 5 more years for D3 like someone said they'd be willing to wait. That's way too long. I supposed I would have to wait, but that's too long in my opinion. If they can't put a sweet game together in 5-7 yrs something is wrong. -

He could just go on and on about who knows what until, unable to take it anymore, monsters begin killing themselves in great and violent ways! It would be the ultimate power.
Reminds me of college...
Haha that would be awesome!
But I still thought the videos were pretty funny. Too bad it wasn't something real. I'm dying for some legitimate videos.
 for Blizzard!

Just don't take credit for it i suppose...Also posting it on this forum isn't like publishing the content or anything. I dunno, it would just be cool to read what some other people wrote.Posted in: News

2. They don't have to 'try' to put a stop on duping. That's a thing of the past.
I was just posting to let me people know the relevant D3 information. I didn't know about this stuff, so maybe some other people don't. Unless you speak for everyone.... -
Mar 20, 2009Legilimens posted a message on New Battle.net Has ArrivedKaplan: Your 'WoW' score would be just one factor that will go into your Blizzard Level. And rather than call it a 'score,' we just wanted it to be like you're leveling up on Blizzard games' You'll have this Blizzard identity, and you'll be able to see things like 'Oh, this guy was great at Diablo III, but he never played Starcraft and he was mediocre in WoW. That sort of thing.Posted in: News

Mar 20, 2009Legilimens posted a message on New Battle.net Has Arrived"As an example, we just found out that Diablo III players will possibly deal with all their trading directly by whispers in the new network. With this in mind, we can expect many simple and useful features directly in the system."Posted in: News
"the new Battle.net will be built on programming that prevent any form of hacking or cheating. Taking several lessons from WoW in that regard, "duping" in Diablo III will be come impossible."
-Leord(Starcraftwire.net)
Both of those are news to me. I'm really glad they are putting or at least trying to put a stop on duping. Plus I can't wait to get the scoop on the trading and how it's handled through whispers. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Sound does play an important role. It sets the mood, and plays a part in setting the emotions of the game. Good point. Music, sound fx all play part.

Well, that makes sense i guess

I disagree, but I respect your opinion. I'm curious, what game's caverns do you like?

Agreed that gameplay is awesome, and that D2 had color, and that the gfx look tight, but why so negative on Oblivion>? Shit??? That seems a little harsh.

Good call. There will always be haters.
I think you're right. I'll still be playing

I agree with Nekro that the visuals are nice in D3. I'm not gfx expert or anything but they look perty to me!
Great gameplay is what keeps me playing games for more than a few hours. More like for the last 9 yrs or so?
I <3 Diablo 3 and I haven't even played it. I joined a forum to talk and read about it for crying out loud.

I think there are actually quite a few people from Blizz North working on D3s development team. I'll check where I read that.
Blizzard has stated many times that they tried several art styles, including ones similar to D2, but it just didn't work out as well. At least they have tried to maintain the essence of Diablo. From all the videos I've watched the gameplay looks like Diablo. I haven't played it yet so I can only assume that it "feels" like it as well.
Even if it was the same Blizz North team working on D3 I would expect it to be different from D2 just as D2 was diff from D1.
It's sad that people judge this game so harshly before it even comes out.
At least you're giving them a chance tho Italo

-HAHAHAHAHHAHHA!!!! hey guys, did you hear? Oh yeah fallen, Baal, Magic spells, Breath of the Dying....They aren't real.... This game is so unrealistic.
-The My Chemical Romance was the perfect touch.
-It also surprises me that people expect or want the same game but with upped gfx and new quests....
Lollerskatez @ this as well. "see you when d3 comes out"
So true....

My mind is wide open. But I have no idea what the items and their bonuses are going to be like in D3. I can only assume that they will be SIMILAR to D2. If that's the case I think having more rings or ammys is unnecessary. If they do increase the #, I have no problem with it. If they don't I'll be fine too. I'm just saying based off what what we know about the items in D3 (nothing really, which is why i can only assume they'll be similar to D2) I fail to see the benefits of more. Either way you should end up with balanced items. Either more weak ones, or a few more powerful ones...
You've made my day....Thank you.

Hahaha! Nice.

Yea we could prolly squeeze a few on each finger, depending on the size. But you would lose finger functionality. I was just making the point that if you say "okay we have 10 fingers so why not wear a ring on each one?" Someone else is going to come along and say, "well I can actually fit 3 or 6 rings on each finger, so why can we only have 1 on each>?"
___________________________________Im saying draw the line at two rings 1 ammy
That is all.
Exactly. We are in agreement We either get a pair of powerful ones or a slew of watered down weaksauce ones. I prefer the 1st.

There has to be a line drawn somewhere. imo.
With too much jewelry the item bonuses would have to be watered down. Each ring would make less of an impact, i dunno i just think it'd get too messy with balancing items.

Yeah I agree with this. I think that the changes to teleport will help solve this issue. No more going through walls and such.
I see whatcha mean Scyber. I like your 3rd idea, achievements and stuff.

I agree. One of the best parts about Diablo for me was finding items. Trying to find the best item for my character. Or if I wanted to start a different type of character trading for items to fit that char. Also, if I found one or two really good items that fit another type of char better than my current I'd have a reason to start building another character.
@ Scyberdragon: I guess I'm just not sure what the alternative to MF would be Scyber. You like killing monsters right? MF is dependent on killing monsters in order to get the items to drop, so where is the problem? I don't mean to sound like I'm patronizing you or anything, I am just not sure what you are hoping for.
It's true people will just farm for items, but there are also people who try to get as high level as they can, and if items drop along the way then YAY! I'm kind of in the middle. I like variation and I find that variation in being able to switch between leveling, and mfing. It's fun sometimes to do a bunch of mf runs...Especially when you find something 1337! Then, to change it up, go do baal runs to try and level. Uber runs made it even more fun cause I had another option for something challenging (never made a smiter).
I just think if you want to mf you can...If not you don't have to. Which sounds like a typical lame response, and maybe it is, but thats my 2 cents. I duno sorry for rambling on, I just don't know what you want Scyber....
