Thank y'all for this warm welcome.
You all are an inspiration to everyone, and such heroes that it makes me look twice as bad.

Oh, if anyone feels the need to know more: asking never hurt anyone.

posted a message on Favourite Diablo Quotes
My favourite quote has been mentioned three times:
What was left of my sanity implored me not to enter, but that voice was just a whisper now.
-Marius, when entering Tal Rashas tomb with the Wanderer

    But this one is fresh:
"I'd go with ya' to those tombs, but ehh, I don't like all that living dead stuff."
-Geglash, when asked about The Seven Tombs

posted a message on Why do people keep saying that the heavens dont interfere
I have not read all the books, but I did read a lot of the information on Diablo Wiki and other places.

Learning that the revolution in Hell was set into motion by aggressive Demon-Lords, frustrated by the standstill in the Great Conflict, the Angels were certain that a mass assault upon the realms of Heaven by the forces of Hell was imminent. In preparation for the attack, the Angels withdrew their forces from the mortal realm, leaving mankind to fend for itself. The Angels of Heaven felt that the mankind's defence of their own world would be a way to prove themselves as worthy allies or a liability in the Great Conflict.

Source: Diablo Wiki - The Sin War (http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/The_Sin_War)

Heaven doesn't want to interfere in Sanctuary to see if they can defend themselves.
Tyrael didn't think the humans would fare well on their own, so he created the Horadrim. As can be read in the Wiki, at least several angels agreed that that was a proper course of action.

When talking about the paladin, I have to think of Horazon as well. Horazon used the powers ofHll and summoned demons. He did this while having no aid from the Burning Hells, as far is I know. The demons did try to overthrow him, since that is their nature.
As I see it, the Paladins do the same thing, but only with the heavens. As Horazon tapped into the powers of Hell, the Zakarum tapped into the powers of heaven. The angels, as stated above, agreed to not aid the angels in any way (except for the horadrim bit), but not hinder them as well. They just let them go their own way.
Thus the paladins are able to gain powers from the heavens on their own accord, not because the angels actually give it to them.

Of course, this is a little sketchy, since I haven't read all of the books just yet, but I wanted to give my two cents.

posted a message on Which is your favourite Act from D2 and D2:LOD and why?
To me, each act has its own special quirks.

Act 1 just has nostalgia written all over it. There are no annoying monsters as far as I'm concerned (which is a plus), and fallen are just way cool. The minus is that, to me, it doesn't really have that 'oomph' to make it to number one.

Act 2 is vibrant, or painfully bright. The amount of extra dungeons in this place are also fun to explore. Also, the Arcane Sanctuary is awesome. Minus is, of course, the Maggot Lair.

Act 3 is a maze. At times it is good, but when you realize that you are on the wrong side of the central river AGAIN, it's just not funny anymore. Also, fetishes.

Act 4 feels rather plain. At least, until you reach the river of flame, which is another cool part of D2. But before you get to that part, Hell feels rather empty, gray. More like purgatory instead of the Burning Hells.

Act 5 is just massive, but sadly also way to linear. The music, however, was great and I often stayed in Harrogath just to listen to the soundtrack.

I chose Act 2, since I love the music, the amount of tombs and the Arcane Sanctuary.
Quick note, I always found the difference between the Summoner and Duriel steep. I mean, the Summoner is weak, but Duriel...

I just wanted to say that I am a new member to this forum.

And now for something completely expected:

I have been lurking around this site for many months, to be honest. It started a few weeks after the WWI announcement, when the news finally reached me. I don't know how I ended up here, but I do think Google had something to do with it.
Anyway, since then I have enjoyed reading the news and random threads around the forum.
At times, I wanted to reply to some thread just to share my opinion, but couldn't because I simply didn't have an account. After letting several of those chances slip by, I decided that now I just had to register.

I don't know exactly when I started playing the Diablo series. My memory tends to fail big time.
I do know that I played Diablo I (full or demo) with a friend, and the Butcher will always have a special place in my heart. That bloody room leaves a mark...

Diablo II is a game I truly love playing. I will never forget my first character (sorceress) trapped in act 3 with fetishes all around. After that, the Necromancer just grew on me (especially when I met Alkor, gotta love that guy)

So, there you have it. My complete Diablo history.
I hope to have a fun time at this forum and, of course, to be productive and supportive.

    Oh, I forgot. I'm Dutch.

    *Edit - And I'm a guy.
