Beyond that, do we have any idea what content was added to hell difficulty?
I think the only thing they added is 4 items that drop from act bosses which you can combine to create an item that resets stats and skill points.
...
Edit: @Vladdracul: Dude... I knew someone that duped 170 bers and 170 jahs (Ber and Jah runes) on 1.12 in Europe... Tell me that 150 enigma in the hands of a clan is not ruining the economy. -

If there are no dupes, items will be worth alot more than they ever did. And u wont see 3/20/20's everywhere because they are FUCKING RARE!#%#$^$%*&$%%@4
But, they didnt say anything about fixing bots. So i assume the economy is going to be ruined once again. -

Anything less than that is bullshit.
Blizzard gotta add some changes until the PTR is over.
Edit: @Umpa: You mean the standard of heros? I dont think it does anything. It has been confirmed before that the SOH is only an item you can show people to prove that you did UT. -

So I have 2 choices, either I'm gonna make a topic asking the dfans members what they would like in the new web design or we recruit in silence and keep the project undercover.
Either of those ideas would be good. It would be nice if you would take charge of the project, and hand out small missions to each of the members who are willing to help... Btw we need an official confirmation or something.
I got photoshop knowledge and i basically can do many things, and if i am told what to do its even easier. I can also help with ideas and styles of design etc... -

Nov 24, 2009Jamoose posted a message on DiabloFans Exclusive: Jay WilsonPosted in: NewsQuote from "luc1027" »Yes I hope too, but we can't customize it as we wish ... I expect something cool to customize stats.
Something like (idea) :
hit monsters to increase strengh.
hit many time in a row or doing critics to increase dex.
take damage from monster to increase your life / resist
use your spell to increase the amount of mana (energies?)
What do you thing ?
A system like this could be possible. But i think those "Achievements" (hit monsters to increase str for an example) must have level requirements also....
Like, only at a certain level, i can gain this amount of strength if i hit this many monsters. -

I meant that shield block doesn't have anything to do with attribute custmization. You went with max block with a shield, or you don't use a shield. So the customization is actually to sacrifice vitality for blocking, not vitality for dexterity.
I dont get it... The Dex is for blocking, so whats the difference... Your just trying to confuse me out of this argument xD -
Nov 24, 2009Jamoose posted a message on DiabloFans Exclusive: Jay Wilson@EmilEmil:Posted in: News
Dude, when you use a shield, on every clvl, your Dex should be higher than a certain amount so you can have max block which is 75%.
Its not that you only use the shield and you got max block... No.
A sorc for PVP, using a shield, had to have a certain amount of Dex at level 99 which was a pretty high amount, so she can have max block....
"D2 was primarily PvE with PvP enabled (but almost not supported at all)." - It wasnt supported game-wise with some UI's and such... but there is a large part of the d2 community which lived off of PVP... and only PVP. No one can ignore this fact. PVP in d2 was the highest you can get. The most hardcore builds and characters were pvp, with the craziest gear.... All of that pvp dedicated... anyway... -
Nov 24, 2009Jamoose posted a message on DiabloFans Exclusive: Jay WilsonTheres a different between a pvp and a pvm sorc, where you put all of your stats on Dex or Vita...Posted in: News
Reaching max block with chars that used a shield...
wasting the absolute minimum on Strength and put everything else on Vita was very important for barbs for an example...
etc, etc...
Now i know this isnt much. But we cant ignore the simple fact, that if you didnt put your stats right in d2, you would get pwned in PVP, and you wont be as much effecient in pvm.
I know what Bashiok and Jay said, but they didnt mean that it didnt customize anything in D2, they meant that it wasnt enough customization and that they want something different.
If they said they didnt like the attributes system in D2 it dosnt mean it sucked and that it wasnt one of the ways you could customize your character.
In D2, stat points = one of the three major customization systems. -
Nov 24, 2009Jamoose posted a message on DiabloFans Exclusive: Jay WilsonPosted in: NewsQuote from "emilemil1" »But my confuuuusion!!!
What about meeeee!!!
Anyway... I think that it is best to have max 3 systems with much customization than 50 with a little each. The primary systems used in D2 were Skills and Items (not attributes). D3 is so far using Skills and items as primary systems, and Runes as a secondary system.
I'm ok with a secondary system for Items, or something completely new, but I would not want another secondary way to customize your skills. Or even worse; secondary on secondary, like a way to put runes in runes. It would be too much to keep track of without careful planning.
You claim that the attributes distribution in d2 wasn't a major customization system, and i say you are totally wrong.
Every type of build you wanted to make, you had to put the stats in certain places and amounts... It was a crucial thing as far as customization went in D2.
So, we had items, stats, skills.
In D3 we have skills, items, spell runes, and?
I think this is it. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Great. Thanks for linking.
Woudl be helpful for everyone if you could copy the relevant information from those posts and paste it here to be honest.

Well, Pain enhancer deals a percentage of damage based on your weapon damage so it's scaling with your damage therefore there is no such thing as "kind of negligable at higher GRs".
It's doing physical damage so that gets boosted by your soj, bracers and amulet.
Dust devils now scale with attack speed so the ias from PE is probably really good. Might even be better than bott / taeguk but i doubt it. I think it's safe to say that PE is a solid 3rd gem. I need to test how attack speed scales with dust devils though so don't take my word for it.
BOP is good but in a perfect rift you don't even have elites so the bop uptime won't be that high in an ideal rift anyway so i don't know.
Also, more ias will not cause you to run out of fury if you are running the ancient's fury rune on cota.

Bane of the trapped and Taeguk because my hf amulet doesn't have a socket. I would probably go for Pain enhancer as third because the whole build revolves around physical damage.

I'm not Mannercookie but i tested 6p WW with 4p IK and it's quite a powerful combo. I cleared solo 50 without dying once because i went for the life steal rune on rend and the life steal rune on ww. That, along with 40% dmg reduction from the WW set and full (81) taeguk stacks obviously with unity just gives you so much toughness. Perma wotb with the WW set dust devils is awesome.
Pretty sure i can go higher to like 55 (maybe even more) with some good rng. On 50 i could facetank blighter, including all of his ground aoe and melee attacks.

An ancient heart slaughter is still something very fucking awesome though. Furnace is such a sought-after weapon because it doesn't force you to go for a specific element (and obviously because its terribly powerful).
I'm forced to run fucking fire because an ancient Maximus is the only 2h weapon i have (With like 10 non ancient furnaces... fml).
Gratz on the clear to Njinx, very well done and sick rng.
Yeah they need to remove pylons from GR *cough Wyatt Cheng *cough

1. I'm pretty sure dust devils are always physical damage. It doesn't say anything about elements in the set bonus but it's worth testing out i guess...
2. Last time i tested it on live it was working but i saw people claiming it's bugged on ptr so i'm not sure.
3. I don't know what's best but wastes 6p + ik 4p physical is a combo i tested and it's quite good.
Edit: Apparently the dust devils from the 6p bonus take the element of the WW rune you select so yes, you can have dust devils that do fire damage for an example.

Tested it again. With 33.33% cdr you reset on 3 mobs with about 100-300 milliseconds missing. For some reason sometimes it resets fully and sometimes there's a bit missing. Either way, those missing milliseconds don't build up due to the animation speed anyway so i am able to constantly charge on 3 mobs without any delay in between charges.
Those guides that say 37.5% or whatever are outdated afaik including the one posted above me.
Edit: I realized that i only get those 100-300 ms when i'm not using a weapon at all. When using a Maximus (2h sword) i reset 100% on 3 mobs. So i'm assuming it has something to do with attack speed. Will probably test further with different weapon types later unless someone posts a link to an up to date guide that also relates to weapon speed.

Yeah i meant 2.1.2, that's when they changed FC.
0
It's not a rumor, in game i can reset on 3 mobs with exactly 33.33% as i said, with shoulders, gloves, gem and paragon. Not using gogok.
We used to need ~38% before they changed FC to charges in 2.1 afaik.
1
With 33.33% you reset on 3 mobs. No need for cdr on weapon since 2.1...
0
Actually 33.33% is enough and you get it from paragon, gloves, shoulders and gem on the helm. No cdr on amulet / rings unless you want to change your build up a bit but that comes at a cost of dps.

It's amazing that you couldn't get over it. It has been about 3 years since release and you are still butthurt.
Those last of us mobs are from the PS4 version of the game. Just one easter egg for the Playstation crowd - WOW SO LAME BLIZZ TY GG GJ +1 ADULT....
Please do.

This is bullshit.
This is bullshit.
Sorry but you don't have any idea what you're saying. 10 minutes on console on normal difficulty and you are complaining? Your opinion is worth next to nothing if this is what its based on. And yes, the game is a lot better than what it was at release.
so you came back to complain after a few years? i don't see your point. Seriously this is one of the worst threads in a long while. Call me a troll or whatever but this is seriously bullshit - Personal opinions presented as facts... give me a break.

Most of these questions can be answered by three letters: RNG.
Blizzard has always stated that they want to keep the random element in the game. I agree that sometimes it's too much like in GR, teddy bear rifts are totally ridiculous in relation to a rift with a million anarchs, exarchs, archers, exorcists, etc...
Anyway, you can combine many of these questions into a few. Try to summarize a bit because a lot of the questions are kind of repeating the same stuff and will most likely get a very similar answer if they were to be asked in the Blizzcon QnA panel.

If they would just make the damn Scorch rune on arcane orb explode on impact... GG. People would run mm conflag + ao scorch and the damage would be awesome with splash. Problem is, that it's yet another fire focused build.
So the other option is to drastically buff magic missile with the cold rune. Make it peirce or explode on impact, increase its damage potential and area of effect. Then a cold focused build with cold mm + fo could be an awesome alternative and a much needed refreshing change to the wizard's metagame in general.
The new changes are straight up buffs but the triumv buff to AO is a bit of a downer because that means you can't go for a 2 handed weapon. Oh well, here's for hoping they change some mm runes or some AO runes because if not, i think a mm conflag build would stilll out-dps a mm+ao or cyclones / shock pulse / whatever.
