@OP: Solve your toughness issues by taking more toughness oriented cooldown skills. Don't sacrifice a good damage roll on one of the only items that can roll it.

There are a few variations to gearing up for this build. The Cain's set it probably the best one imo because of the ias. Basically, every ias stat is double dipping with the carnevil build since not only does it give your pets a straight damage increase, it also makes you shoot faster and in turn, your fetishes as well.

The alternatives to Cain's pants + gloves are:

SLW (Swapland waders) + Taskers: If you have perfect int trifecta taskers then this combo might be worth it. Sometimes when re-positioning mid fights, your fetishes will attack normaly and that's when taskers can actually be useful. Also, obviously it's nice to have 20% poison damage from the pants.

Cain's boots + gloves + SLW + Zuni ring: I guess only an option in low GR because you really want double unity and you can't give up the SOJ because you need it for the full Zuni set bonus.

Another variation might be Hammer jammers + Stone gauntlets. Hammer jammers just for the extra toughness stat and stone gauntlets can roll up to 20% chance to immobilize target... If your dod has cold damage then you can go for frostburns i guess (i think that bug is still active).

I guess in T6 you can get rid of Cain's and go for SLW + Glove of worship for the 10 minutes duration on shrines.

So yeah Cain's pants + gloves seems to be the best option here.


Edit: Btw this is my current gear http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Jamoose-2376/hero/19555960 the rings are a unity(near perfect) + rorg (crap roll). There is so much room for upgrades like a better rorg, ancient zuni offhand, ancient dod, hf/immunity amulet and better rolls on other slots. Once i get all of these, i am sure that 41+ will become a lot easier.

I might actually give this a go. Need to farm ancient SMK + DOD so this will probably the build i'll run in speed clearing t6 groups. Thanks for the guide and video!

Managed to clear 37, 38, 39 and 40 almost all of them on first attempts. It's really awesome once you get used to it... If you get a good map and you got all fetishes out with bbv then the damage is insane ^^

Yeah this is pretty much for solo play only but with some tweaks it could also work in group play i guess.

When you die in greater rifts multiple times you get a resurrect timer that gets up to 30 seconds. This is completely frustrating especially when I am trying to test stuff out. Why should we wait for 30 seconds staring at the screen when the devs could just change it so that when you resurrect you pay for your life in time and this payment will be increased by the times you died just like how it is right now.

So the poll choices are what do you prefer, to wait for 30 seconds or just pay 30 seconds and that way you are 30 seconds behind on your greater rift timer. So an example would be let's say you started a greater rift 5 minutes and you died, resurrected and now the timer says 5:30 without you having to actually wait for those 30 seconds to pass.

This idea is mainly aimed at single player but there are ways to make it work in multiplayer too. Like give players a separate choice to spend time or pay time when dead... That way if all 4 players die in a gr they can pay 2 minutes and be insta-resed if the map is full of mobs and it would be beneficial for the whole group to come back at once. Or one player ressurects and then revives the others so he will pay 30 seconds and then spend ~10 seconds reviving the other 3 players... It all comes down to the players' choice and i think giving us more choices in this matter is cruical.

Some people have a broken keyboard, some people have a broken brain. Some people are just lazy and some people are just kids. Public games suck and always will. If you go to public games with high expectations then you're gonna have a bad time (.jpg)



Anyway join a clan / community and try to set up farming groups with people that have similar interests.

Yeah as others have mentioned, more xp and more legendaries. Also, now that you get double gobs, those blod theifs can be worth like ~7 rifts by themselves. The fact that there are so many goblin packs and goblin pairs everywhere just makes it more profitable to clear full rifts and not just quit after the RG. when 2.1 came out, people started quitting after the RG because of the trial key but now that people have hundreds of trial keys it's no longer needed imo. I prefer full clears because i like to maximize xp gain.

Btw i just cleared GR43 and i'll upload the video tomorrow morning! Dropped ancient DoD and got 400k dps!

Even if they shoot at your attack speed, the fetishes damage is determined when they spawn, according to your damage stats - and afaik, higher attack speed means higher pet damage. The fact that they shoot at your own speed does not negate the idea that they might be snapshotting your damage.

Also, even if simplicity boosts the fetishes damage gogok might still be better because of the cdr. But if it's Enforcer vs Simplicity then definitely Simplicity. Unless you think that the extra pet toughness the Enforcer gem provides is actually useful which it probably is but from my self experience FS spawn quite fast usually so it kinds of makes up for the dead fetishes...

Edit: Oh and gj on the 43 and thanks for the video. I see you got an ancient dagger now ^^ - The effectiveness of Simplicity's strength really shines when facing an RG like SK apparently...

Gogok might be #1 because it gives you ias and cdr. The ias is technically a straight up dps buff for your fetishes and your attack rate for spawning more fetishes through the passive. And the cdr helps a lot with skills like phiranado etc...

Not sure if the ias you get from gogok stacks is added to the fetishes that have been already summoned but i think that it does not. It's probably like when you have max gogok stacks, fetishes spawned from psychophants will snapshot with that ias bonus (not sure so don't take my word for it). So also for FA, if it snapshots (and i think it does) then you'd want to re-cast it only when you have max gogok stacks.

Enforcer is simply a boost to your fetishes damage which is awesome. Simplicity's strength is a boost to your poison dart alone afaik so it might actually not be that good. the healing you get from it is quite nice though. I think it's possible to swap it for BOP if you can give up on the healing.

By "normal" i assume you mean Blizzard focused variation and using a 2h weapon (maximus / furnace), then the optimal reroll would be ias->chd. Even for the Hydra focused variation, using Serpent sparker, I'm not sure it's actually worth it to keep 7 ias over 50 chd... Depends on how much chd you already have but usually i'd say chd is better.
