Excellent thread, I'm still kinda new at the whole "how it works" thing, so I learned a little I was going to build my own, but got nervous and ended up custom ordering one instead. But I plan to do all future upgrades/builds my self.
I'm anxiously awaiting your guide to overclocking thread

Just so you all know, that truck is actually a tree house this dude made for his son. He was posing for a news segment. Adds a whole new level of epic.
I'm guessing he lost his sleeves during the construction. A noble sacrifice...

Not true. Just cuz you buffed the monsters doesn't mean you need to buff the healing. You could give the chars more health, more defense, more damage so they could kill faster. There are other ways.
And like it was said before, Blizzard already announced there won't be a healing class.

Here's a video of it so you can see the kind of movie it is, but don't watch too much unless you want to spoil just about the whole movie
Hah, yeah, I've seen the scene where the guy kicks the other dudes eye out, and the intestine choke part. I gotta get me that one too.
Mar 1, 2010stoaster, I just wanted to say thank you. As soon as humanly possible, I am gathering up my friends and we are watching The Room. Watching craptastic movies is one of my favorite past times, and The Room looks epic.Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)
A few of my all-time favs:
American Ninja 1-5 (1 and 2 are the best)
There are so many more, but I can't remember any more atm.
Nov 24, 2009Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from "luc1027" »ONLY graphical stuff
But I like the idea of a "finishing move" for each type of weapon, it's can be triggered by a critical ?!
Then make a different thread about it.
This thread is about the weapon effects, which are definitely the elements pulsing through the weapons.

Everyone knows that the general public is educated and reasonable.
And the general public is also pro-blizzard as the folks in this forum!
They would never misconstrue this character line-up the way the OP does.
This thread is stupid. Gawsh. *tosses hair* *rolls eyes*
Care to comment on the fact that the wizard is, in fact, asian, not white?
Or how the monk is middle eastern?
As for the WD, the reason he is black, and creepy, and jittery... is because they really are. Maybe you should accuse real-life witch doctors of perpetuating the stereotype...
I'm sure at least one of the points anyone here has brought up pokes a hole in your theory.
Nov 21, 2009Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from "emilemil1" »How fun would it be to wait 9 seconds between each showoff? They reduced it for the video.
It is 9 seconds at level 1. Don't forget that you can level it up and put runes in it.
Ahhh, I see. I musta missed that part when looking at the wizards skill trees lol.
Nov 21, 2009Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from "Glyndwyr" »Exactly the same as Umpa. Nobody is going to get my loots!
D3 will use a system where only you can pick up your own loot. So no more whoever clicks fastest gets it all. No word on whether or not you will still be able to see other people's loot but not grab it, like make it see-through or something.
I personally hope they do that. I still want to see what others get, especially if I'm looking for something particular and see someone else get it. That way I can be like "I see you found (insert badass item name here) and I have been after it for some time. What's it worth to you?" Especially if gold is actually used as currency. That way it's not like in D2 where if you didn't have the exact item they where looking for, or had just traded away your last hr for something, there was no chance of you getting said item*.
*I know about fg and sites like d2jsp, I just never used it that much. I would rather actual gold be used instead of forum gold, and hope there is an in-game way to accomplish what d2jsp did.
Kinda got a little off-topic there lol. But yeah. No shared loot

Apr 5, 2010Posted in: NewsQuote from "Bridge_Burner" »A superstition I had way back when I was playing a lot and had my mf characters around 2002 was to never make a town portal on the same level as a boss. So for example I always did meph runs and I would set my tp on the durance level 2, never level 3. Don't know if that ever acctually did anything though! haha
Lmao, yeah I did that too. And some people would get HEATED if you opened one up in Baal's Chamber.
Apr 3, 2010Posted in: NewsQuote from "Gulliver" »Also I remember that while doing MF boss runs I wouldn't let my merc do the final blow because I feared that the MF bonus wouldn't apply in that case. That can't be really be called a superstition though because we know from facts that your MF does apply for merc kills too. Or am I wrong?
Actually, if a merc makes the kill, he gets your mf plus his. So it's actually a little better to let him make the kill
Nov 19, 2009As angry as I am am about all the delays with the next patch and D3, I keep telling myself to remember Fable.Posted in: News
I followed Fable for YEARS, thinking about how awesome it was gonna be. When it finally came out... it sucked. Hard. Maybe to some people that hadn't followed it from it's infant stages it seemed like a good game. But if you went back and looked at what it was supposed to be, it just flat out wasn't. Why? Because they realized that what they had promised would take a looong time to do right. Instead of pushing the release date back and working to release their vision in all it's glory, they chopped the game to hell, and released the aborted version. Look up Project Ego (Fable's original name) and see what I mean. It will anger you.
That being said, I agree that Blizzard just creates hype then leaves us in the dark, but I just tell myself to be patient. If they release it too soon, it will be like Fable and fall into obscurity. No one wants that. I want a game that will be fun to play years from now, not some crap slapped together to make a deadline. It will be worth it in the end...
