Quote fromA superstition I had way back when I was playing a lot and had my mf characters around 2002 was to never make a town portal on the same level as a boss. So for example I always did meph runs and I would set my tp on the durance level 2, never level 3. Don't know if that ever acctually did anything though! haha
Lmao, yeah I did that too. And some people would get HEATED if you opened one up in Baal's Chamber.

They revealed it at Blizzcon 08 I believe. If you watch the lore panel videos, they show that slide and say that it is Skovos (or something), the Amazon Island.

...Um, because Blizzard said that the barbarian will be the only class to return...
Like Airandius said, maybe in an expansion, but a "paladin" will not be in D3 right off the bat. Maybe a similar class, like the Wizard is to the Sorc, but it won't be called a "paladin".
So basically, "WE" is anyone who has been paying attention over the last few months...

Iirc, in D3 you just have to run over gold to pick it up. And if they make it valuable, there won't be lots and lots of gold everywhere. It will become rarer, so there won't be piles of it littering the screen.

Did anyone ever play the text-based free online game Shimlar? In it, if you had something socketed in an item that you didn't want anymore, you could go to someone and pay them to remove it. You could select to keep the item and destroy the gem, destroy the item and keep the gem, or you could try to keep them both, which was a gamble because you had a 50% chance to keep both, but a 25% chance to lose the item and a 25% chance to lose the gem. I think it would be a valuable system to implement, it would support experimenting with different things in different items without the finality of permenantly putting it in something.
Unless of course they go the same route as the rune system, where you could put them in/take them out of skills alll you want to really experiment with different combos. But I don't see them doing that with items.
Thoughts/comments?

Didn't they say that we won't have mercs, just people that will follow you around for a bit? I'm not sure if they would let us put equip on them if they are just temporary...
But I totally agree, I'm really interested in seeing the stash.

I loved the old names. I always considered them letters, and when you spelled the right word, it was like saying the right spell, and it manifested energy into the weapon.

That, or he wasn't sure whether or not he would get flamed, so he made a new profile to post it from.

Yes, but it has been discussed already that that doesn't necessarily mean we get to use them when we want. We might only get to use them at certain times (the portals that open for you after andariel, duriel, etc.) We're almost certain that they will be included, but now the discussion is mainly on how they will work.

I'm not saying it wouldn't work, I'm just saying imagine the forums' reaction. They would Fuh-REAK.

Yeah, and they don't tell us which one is which, so we gotta figure it out like when runewords first came out lol. I like it!
What the hell does a "Gerblat" rune do???
And I wonder if there will be a way to combine runes, so you have a Multi-Lethality rune O.O Maybe that's too powerful lol.
