I've been playing this game since it came out and I'm still playing. The story is excellent, as always with Bioware. The game is very long somewhere between 40-60 hours of gameplay, I beat it at 45 hours in. I'm already starting my new character, an elven mage.
It has plenty of re playability, there are 3 different classes and each one has 4 specializations. Such as a mage becoming a Shapeshifter or Arcane Warrior. Each race has a different origin that you can play. The origins are all different for each race and have a big impact on the story. For example, since I was a human noble I got a mabari war dog as a companion.
The characters in this game are very memorable and fun to interact with. Having different companions while doing quests can affect what is said or can even change the quest. Sometimes characters will add quirky remarks to what is said keeping the conversations entertaining. The choices can be very hard to make. There were several times where I actually had to stop and think before I made a choice as to the consequences because it was so tough.
As I'm sure you've heard, this game is hard. Even on normal it can be very challenging. But in no point of the game had I reached a part where it was so hard I couldn't succeed. The challenge only adds to the fun and feeling of achievement.
The story is great, the gameplay is awesome and the characters/conversations are entertaining and vivid. If I were you and you were me, I would buy this game. Its definitely worth it.
I forgot to post this on here yesterday so I'll do it today.
You can play an online mini-game of Dragon Age, which allows you to get items for the game when it comes out. The game itself plays like Heroes of Might and Magic, where you have a certain amount of spaces and actions you can do per turn in combat. Its fairly entertaining and challenging.
You get the in-game items by completing achievements, quests, and filling out a survey.
I would also like to point out that this is only the first chapter and there will be more.
By having dedicated servers you can choose servers that are closer to you and have lag free games. Where as with matchmaking it chooses for you and can be a poor chooser. Also with dedicated servers you can have mods, you cannot with matchmaking.
And yet another reason is because you can't play with your friends on the same server. Being able to favorite servers and play with the same people is very nice. Having options is a good thing. I would have about 2-3 servers that I would play on everyday in CoD4 and I became good friends with everyone on those servers. Can't do that with matchmaking unless you friend everyone you meet and try to join the same games.
When they announced this terrible move, this game went from a first day for sure buy, to a not even going to touch it with a ten foot pole. Bitch slapping your customers is not a good way to sell a game.
I would also like to point out that the petition has 140,000 signatures. So its obvious that a "few" people are upset by this.
I'm not agree, I think totally the opposite !! I don't care of color it's superficial (feature for children) It's better to have choice of what your equipment will do ! so you will be able to provide a strategy, skill/equipment/stats.
Nicely better.

What the fuck?
Exactly what I thought.

I know it's funny, but only for a moment, after a year, people will don't care about that, the only thing that will still after all is the core of the game / gameplay. I don't play diablo to customize a Sims with beautiful arrangement of colors !!
Yes, because no one wants to have the ability to customize things in the game. I mean look at all the mods that don't exist for diablo 2.
/sarcasm
Being able to customize items in the game adds more depth. It makes you feel like you really own the items and that they are unique to your character. It still doesn't really matter, its just something extra to add to the game. You probably wouldn't notice most of the time anyway whilst smashing through armies of demons.

If you want me to change anything feel free to ask, and if you don't want to use it that is okay too.

Also, I never really had a problem with grenades in CoD4. I guess I was just lucky.
