Make sure single players get everything that co-op people get, without the need of feeling obligated to participate in things that singleplayers feel stresses them out due to team efforts.

If a raid is on, whatever the heck that means in an ARPG... Then the items should be able to get from simple solo quests as well.

People might argue "that takes the fun out of playing it with friends.. getting unique loot". I disagree. Playing with a friend should never be obligated, or pushed upon. Singleplayers miss out on so much stuff in Diablo III its insane, since they can't push Rifts and crap like that. I like gaming, but not deadlines and pressure into being carried. Ugh.

posted a message on Diablo 4 should be like diablo 3 and not diablo 2

Diablo IV need to be an extension with 500% from Diablo II. The cartoonified Diablo III was fine for a while, but Diablo II is where its at.

Diablo II R was, for me personally, a waste of effort and time to be made. I played D2 for 15 years straight and am done with it. I need a continuation, or at least a reboot that treats Deckard Cain with respect, with twists that we dont see miles away. Earlier I was sceptic too to believe Diablo IV would even be released, but knowing now Activision is on its way to be bought and terminated in a sense of CEO and all that fuzz, I see a brighter future for Diablo IV.

Heck, perhaps Microsoft will take in new people that actually loves all Diablo games from the core. I know few, me included, are only into Diablo and not into the other games Blizzard made. It needs more inspiration to expand a game like Diablo IV for sure, but looking back on the franschise, only the best things should be taken and evolved.

Diablo III was easy to get into. Graphically it was old fairly quick, like the other Diablo games. Building a more realistic Diablo IV might be key for it to stay healthy longer in that term, but I have never been into graphics that much. The story, and lore is what makes me wanna explore games. To play them I need the fun-factory, and ways to make things easier for me when needed.

Diablo III was easy, and had difficulty-settings. A nice way of actually allowing you to push it when you felt like it. But the loot was bonkers until 2.0 and the characters felt odd, like. Who can throw 100 jars of spiders based of no magic but simply air? And a Monk with a bow still used his fists and so on. It was.. Oh excuse me, it IS crazy. I understand its a game, but bottom line is, they couldve made things way more interesting. I guess they ran out of brain juice after so many experiments. We could actually see lead designer, back in the day, how tired he and the team was.

I wonder how team of Diablo IV is behaving. Is everything fine within the group? Is there respect given always to the franschise, or do they stray away too far? Will they allow us NOT to have mounts, but teleportations to "anywhere on the map"? Will the actual loot system not be too high in numbers, fun to experiment with? Can we finally get a playable Summoner character that use angels and demons as source of power, without being either of them? Will there be just one area with a rainbow?

We shall see... At least, there is no cow level.

Very bad practice. Expansions is the way to go, as I explained above.

Cosmetic items will have an effect to the mentality behind the player. This is what I tried to say. I do not speak of xp, level etc. I try to underline the issue that if you change your hero, in any way, with money. People want this.

I would rather see no MTX at all, but since its Activision behind it, I dont see how they can make a game without it. So MTX could be stuff you dont see often, like NPCs, flags in areas, classic gold drop sound instead of new. Stuff like that. Not hero based, not experience based, and I do not mean XP, I mean overall experience.

I do not believe for a second the money for Activision speed things up at all. The developers get same pay they always will, and worse - even crunch time if Activision wants more money (they always do). Its better to focus on expansion, in normal work environment. The support goes not to developers, and foundation should be set with the vanilla game, not the money.

Respec Idea 1 / Hand of Anu

Get the "Hand of Anu" which turns mouse pointer into a golden hand in the skill tree. Now, with a click somewhere, it will reset from that point. With "Hand of Anu", you can click at the bottom source too, centered, which allow you to respec whole tree, including the roots. But clicking on a specific skill, it will respec only the branches from that point.

"Hand of Anu" is also limited in terms of how many you can carry at any point. There is however no limit in how many you can get. This will be either a goldsink of some kind, but will provide a few of them out in the world. Perhaps as rewards from completing something, exploring something and finishing the main story. Or it will be the reward if you get enough of sidequests done between each act.

The gold sink aspect of Hand of Anu will be unlocked once you reach a specific amount of gold, and will there after be % of what you actually own. If you wait, the Hand of Anu will be expensive to buy.

Hand of Anu would not be tradeable, but selling it, you would get at least something in return, even if its just 1% of its worth in gold.

Respec Idea 2 / Pick a Mode before play

Casual Hero. Seasonal Casual Hero. Hardcore Hero. Seasonal Hardcore Hero. Then add difficulties on top of this. Yeah Diablo III got layers, and that is all good and fun on the paper. How about making Respec come into play in what kind of mode you pick early? The mode will allow others to play on same servers as those that picked same mode.

Casual Hero or Hardcore Hero/ Season or not.
Classic Mode: No respec at all.
    Difficulty change once finished game.

Casual Hero or Hardcore Hero/ Season or not.
Modern Mode: Respec once or few times, according to the new games rules.
Difficulty are being unlocked as you reach goals according to the new games rules.

Casual Hero or Hardcore Hero / Season or not.
Creation Mode: Respec whenever, similar to Diablo III.
Difficulty can be changed whenever, similar to Diablo III.

    Colorblind mode in Diablo IV

I am curious about how Diablo will handle colorblind features in Diablo IV. Read whole old thread here.

    Control the musical experience

Diablo might not need a toggle on/off to play music due to DMCA restrictions across the web these days for people uploading clips and streaming the future game live. But since music is important (for us that can hear it) and adds an extra dimension to the experience of any adventure or situation, wouldn't it be nice to actually give us more control of the music in Diablo IV?

I am talking about picking amount of fear in tunes. How dark do we want it? Do we want the game to give us a soft sting of fear? Can we control the music in tiers, making it go up to embracing dark even to crazy horror? Make us scared playing the game?

It would add more random feats to the actual music. Experimental speaking it would allow you to make the game go from interesting to really scary. If you do not understand what I mean, feel free to ask. See it as an old difficulty setting, but for your mental health and ear canals.

    Return of Ethreal Items?

Almost as powerful as Legendary, but flawed and limited. Yet, more common to find that a Legendary item. Read my old thread here (back when Mythic Items was a thing).

    Name Generator / Error 37

If you do not name your character, will we have an "generate a random name" and with it, allow even Error 37 as a random easter egg within that generator? A name generator is great for those with less time or imagination. Lack of both are usually the case when we want to dive straight into the story.

    Microtransaction is sh*t

I really hope the game is a hit, and expansions can come to continue to franschise without a need to go back to Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 and remaster them and just put a lid over the concept of Diablo.

What I hope, but do not expect sadly, would be that microtransactions would apply things we do not see as visuals on our hero. I would rather see no microtransactions at all in Diablo.

Instead major focus in patching the game for free, and then give us expansions. Complete package like the old days. You got a full game buying it once. If Activision needs microtransaction it doesn't matter what kind of ideas I would write here since those would apply worldly stuff instead of hero customization. Like, instead of NPCs being dull, you could microtransaction so they looked colorful and stuff like that, dumb crap. Not stuff you honestly really want or would see a whole lot on your journey.

Microtransaction, if they ever needed to be in ANY Diablo game, would affect GAMEPLAY if they are visuals to your hero. Everyone wants the latest dye, the latest coat, the latest design of that cool weapon etc. Please, don't. Make the game complete, release it. Fix bugs, move on!

To those that say "microtransaction will speed up the process of content coming out faster, and its a good way to support the games development and give us a foundation for DLCs or Expansions" I just have this to say: There is no guarantee for this, and microtransactions is pure sh*t. Make solid expansions instead. Make a Diablo with officially 2 expansions! It would be a Personal Best for them!

I am tired of loot boxes and microtransactions. This is also the reason I will wait additionally 1 year after Diablo IV have been released to get it, if microtransactions prove to be non existent, or lacking in terms of game experience, for example, a way to change your hero name.

posted a message on How do you guys think the PvP in Diablo 4 will be?

If they make PVP area-based, it can be a high risk / reward if they play it smart. Think about some areas actually having these late game, if you play solo it will be less risk, and probably less rewarding too.

I would see singleplayers have same loot as co-op, same goes with XP too. So I dont know how they will balance things out.

    Remember kids.

If there is a Diablo IV date in stores without any date on Blizzards official sites - then its a placeholder.

Stores always love to take chances so people pre-order, and are in general assholes.

    Thanks.

Blizzard offers Lilith Statue with a deliverydate of 30.8.2020 :o

so we can hope for a near releasedate of the game itself?? :)

    Highly doubt it.

    Normal "Soon": within a week.

    "Blizzard Soon": Around 4 years.

"Not even Blizzard Soon": 4+ years.

I like the way you think and reason FoxBatD2

Excellent read. I need to go deep diving into the lore to keep up. You make fair points.

If Lilith is just sent back to the Void, then perhaps the humans / nephalem understands its the only safe way to store away evil, since everything seems to just be respawn / reborn again and again. Angels have at least closed the gates, but even those are reborn in the light.
