Quote fromI'm gonna guess a generic "Ranger" class because we've already had Rogue/Amazon/Druid and they need a ranged fighter and a nature-magic user, and "Ranger" covers both of those. Actually, I have a theory they're gonna have 6 classes in the game because at this point the game is mostly likely not coming out until 2011, which gives them more time, and I'm sure they have too many ideas to fit into 5 classes.
They are probably going to have 7 classes, like last time, with two being part of the expansion.
There's no reason for the monk to not be the range character.
He could fill the holy/range part just fine.

Obviously you've never seen a henpecked husband.

Similar to the assassin concept.

I'm not saying that weapons don't have a place for monks. They do have a set of unique weapons unto their own.
But I think that being able to do damage with their hands should be part of the character.
I just get a bit annoyed about people who want realism in a fantasy game. What's up with that?
I guess they believe paying taxes and buying milk at the local convenience store is all part of game play.

First, let's get away from D3 having to be based in reality. The game concept itself is not based in reality. If you're really insistent on playing a game based on reality, go play Age of Empires or Sim-life.
Secondly, people who have practiced martial arts for years tend to have hands that have been toughened up from hitting wood, bricks, and steel plates. So, what would break an average person's hands would not even put a scratch on somebody with a black belt.

I find, and I say this with respect, that one of the great misconceptions about being conservative is that supposedly you don't care about your fellow man.
Helping your fellow man, by teaching him to help himself, is a far more caring act than giving him help with no expectations of responsibility of himself.

I thought it worked well enough.
Gotta have some fun in life.

I know that.
I just saw a way to use his words against himself for great comedic effect and I couldn't help myself.

You did.
You said you can wait for Blizzard to release the last character and the last character actually gets released during the expansion cd.
0
You just wait.
My monk will kick your barbarian arse so far back, it'll be like a re-birth.

I think he fits in just fine.
If he inherently doesn't fit, none of them really do.

You're very patient that you're unwilling to know the last character until the expansion disc is in your computer.
I'm not that patient.

He'd fit in by having come from a long ways away because he heard about an unstoppable danger and he knew (or was told) that only he could stop Diablo.
Kinda simple, I think.

C'mon, I'm ready!

Well, to quote the Flintstones, " A Judo, chop, chop, chop."

No.
The damn Celts won the day.
