Oct 29, 2011Puttah posted a message on Diablo 2 Patch 1.13dI've been trying out this ignore list and it doesn't seem to be working on certain messages.Posted in: News
.com - works
.net - works
lowest prices - works
d2 store - does not work
in stock - does not work
I'm seriously stumped as to how those are getting through...
edit: It seems that the strings that seem to be d2 store for example are in fact slightly manipulated such as d2 st0re. -

They only fly around after they're dead (and sometimes at that, depending on the skill used to kill it). Knockback is to knock enemies back during combat, with or without killing them in the process.Quote from Asynchronic
I would rather have it worked in gradually as your character gains strength.
What's the point of taking a skill with knockback if you can already throw them around like they are weightless?

Oct 1, 2011Puttah posted a message on Another Diablo III book underway.Since D3 isn't coming out around December, I'll be having a lot of free time on my hands and feel like reading up on some Diablo books. I haven't read any before, so are there any prerequisite titles that I should go through before this one? I'd be interested in buying the whole Diablo series, if that's possible.Posted in: News

For this reason and this reason only I chose the gold AH. I'd only stand by this option because I hate the idea of a real money AH however. -
Jul 1, 2011Puttah posted a message on The Future of Item SellingGames that had stores to buy gear has always eventually turned me away from it. In one respect, I loathe spending money to cheat my way through a game, but on the other hand since I'm at a disadvantage and love to be competitive - the only way to keep it up is to get the credit card out.Posted in: News
This tug-of-war of conflicting ideas I have going on in my head really tears me apart and inevitably turns me off of the game.
I didn't wait years for D3 to come out just to have my fun stripped away just because of stores. No fucking stores, please... -
Jun 17, 2011Puttah posted a message on Which Class to Play?I myself am a necro summoner player, so the Witch Doctor would seem to be the logical choice, except that the first time around I want my power gain with each new level or item to be obvious. If you grab a nice armor on a ranged class, you won't be appreciating the small differences they provide since you aren't right up in the enemies' faces getting smacked around. The barbarian makes increased DPS and damage mitigation obvious.Posted in: News

But as for the corpse throwing, I need to see this in action to stop feeling like it's going to be an epic fail of an idea -
Sep 21, 2010Puttah posted a message on Level 60 capPosted in: News
But you can see with the way the stats are going to be working that 100 is too much, while something small like 20 just won't be the style of Diablo. It won't be enough. So they need something in between, and when designing the levels to work best, they wouldn't be thinking "ok we have to work around the number 60 because this is the wow level cap and we just can't have that" no, they don't do that.Quote from zelsphere
I am a die hard diablo fan while also rotten to the bone WoW hater.
Naturally, the more and more comparatives there is between the new diablo and wow the less excited I got for the new game. And we have to face it with a level 60 cap, it simply just screams WOW!!! Any other number could have done the trick, be it 63 or 66. Hopefully the next official blizzard quote won't be anything like this: HEY guys, now you can go fishing or bake your own cake, in-game!
Also sorry for the whining

The same game? lol... So with that logic, counterstrike and battlefield are the same game because they both have guns to shoot people with.
Oh god this sounds like heaven!Quote from AcidReignNot too much longer guys and we'll be on Battle.net rather than here lol
By the way, when bashiok says that normal difficulty will account for the first 30 levels, nightmare for the next 20 and hell for the last 10 (adjust names of difficulties accordingly) is this assuming that we never run through the same map twice and that we kill every monster we encounter? In other words, the experience of all 3 difficulties with all monsters combined is enough to get us up to 60?
I know an answer would be speculation on everyone's part, but what do you think about it? -

Aug 24, 2010Puttah posted a message on Get Ready for Blizzcon, DiabloFans!Oh god... why did I have to read this while at school? So embarrassing But I wouldn't have it any other way!Posted in: News

How good can an 11 year old farmer be? I started D2 at 12 and was a complete retard when it came to anything.

All the things you see and hear in school from other kids is way worse.
Oh and by the way, that's really cute that she can play D3. I got my sister - also 9 - to give it a try but she's more into that club penguin and dress up doll kind of games. Her attention span didn't last long in it.

But also, keep in mind that the NV stacks will still be an incentive to keep you in the current game, so if you run into a difficult mob you will still be evaluating your choices as to whether you should try press on or restart. At the moment, I often see teams only deciding to skip certain elite packs after dying multiple times to them. So the increased repair bill will actually make players think more carefully rather than throwing their corpses at them over and over again.

I'll also take some people's advice to go outside. It's cold and wet, but if you look closely you'll probably catch a twinkle of a star.

1) I feel like being melee does put you at a disadvantage in inferno, especially if you're under-geared (basically inferno is a gear check, but ranged heroes can somewhat get around that by kiting). It's not really a problem for me that I'm struggling and need to farm, but I just want to be farming the best gear I can which is found in inferno, hence the re-roll.
2) When I join pub games, you're almost always bound to end up with a bad composition team, or a bad player, or a player that is severely lacking in items, or they go afk half the time, etc. etc.Basically, I feel that if I want to stand a chance in inferno, I need a decent team set up, and the only control I really have over that is if I play with my friends. But the thing is is that it's pretty much impossible to perfectly align your playtime up with theirs, so rolling another char and levelling that one up when they're not available is time well spent.
