Jul 16, 2009Puttah posted a message on Inventory Bags ExplainedIncreasing the inventory bags as you progress through the game would significantly cut down the use of mules. Sure, early in the game you pick up all the crap to sell for money for tp's and pots etc. but everything you pick up is basically junk and you have no reason to create a mule to hold your extra (crap) goodies. Later in the game you pick up uniques that can't just be sold off or thrown away, so without an increased inventory space it inevitably leads to mule creations and many pointlessly wasted hours of drop-trading.Posted in: News

No. It does make sense!Quote from "Ivaron" »I don't understand. Bashiok is talking about limited inventory space as if it's a good thing. What the hell?
This game is about killing stuff and collecting loot. Why on earth would you want to limit the amount of loot we can carry in the first place? It doesn't make sence.
If you don't agree with this... well... maybe the best decision you could make is >>>Quote from Bashiok »Beginning with a small and limited amount of space teaches the player early on that inventory management is an important part of playing the game - and sometimes generating income.
Making and keeping the player aware of their limitations can also help keep a better sense of structure and focus. Being overwhelmed is sometimes as detrimental to a play experience as being bored.Quote from "Ivaron" »I know I'm gonna sound like a whiney little kid and no-one is going to care, but this is one of those things that makes me think I might not want to buy the game. -

If they do introduce micro-payments then I hope they don't have any effect on gameplay, as that would create an imbalanced playing field between people who pay and people who don't. I would rather have 100% of people paying than it being imbalanced by optional paying
An imbalance is inevitable with the invention of ebay and all. I'm on the non-paying player side and of course don't like this, but what can we do? - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

It was a totally legit death (not a stupid way to die like lag or a bug) and felt awesome!

I think it might have to do with the order of all the pub games available on that quest and also the number of pub games created compared to how many people are joining them.
For example, some guy and I managed to play through nearly all of act 1 nightmare alone, but then as soon as we hit act 2, someone else joined. Then way further down the track, the 4th joined. Now, since we just started the quest, it could be possible that we were first in the queue to have a new player join us, and also the system might work such that if you have say 100 games on a quest, and only 50 of those have 2 players, then rather than filling up the games with 2 players, new players will be joining the games with only 1 player in them. It makes more sense that way since if it didn't work that way, some games would take forever to even get a second player into them.
I think the only problem is too many people are creating pub games as opposed to joining them.

Food for thought.

I also tested each item by taking off my armors with +dmg on them, but the sword was still giving me an increased DPS.
This lol I totally forgot about the passive. This explains it all, and if I turn weapon mastery off I get a higher DPS on my axe rather than the sword as it should be.

I'll take your advice and read more about it on the forums. Thanks

So this was my prior build with the weapon I was planning to switch, I have a DPS on 106.61:
I switched it with this weapon, and now my DPS has gone down to 94.76:
And this was the weapon in my alternate hand:
Now, I'm just downright confused as to why my DPS went down as opposed to going up. The DPS on the axe itself is higher than the sword. I'm guessing maybe it has something to do with the 15% bonus attack speed from dual wielding? Oh, and if I swap the axe and sword between my hands so that the axe is in my main hand, the DPS goes down as well. Could someone please explain to me what is going on here?

Am I just being unlucky with not being able to log in here or have the servers gone back down?

I've played about 6 hours so far and I'm still in act 1, so... What are my chances of winning?
edit: America/Canada only? As a fellow Aussie playing on the American servers, I'm outraged! There go my chances!
