So yea we lose a bit senseless customization like having a wizard wield a maul twice his size (in the real world it would be like putting a medic with a rocket launcher in the front line, kinda wierd huh) but on the other hand as bashiok has said they will put the effort of senseless customization and direct it towards more skills , skill rune effects, so basically adding a lot more meaningful depth to each individual class. I prefer that idea over being able to use a freakin 2 handed pillar as an archer. I hope i was clear.
I'm sorry, but you just bought his whole silly excuse which is nothing but a joke to make you think exactly that "I prefer that over this".
His excuses makes no technical sense.
I don't disagree entirely with the decisions, I mean the wizard can't use big two-handed stuff, the barbarian can't use wands.. I mean, that kind of things I couldn't care less and won't affect the game much, except those that really love to try anything.
All I'm saying is, Bashiok doesn't deserve any credit for his comment. Sweet, he's talking to the community, but his text is there for nothing. A few lines would be saying the same thing.

Well I remember mostly blood from the killing in the gameplay videos. I'd have to watch them again.
I wholeheartedly agree, though. Ragdolls around are horrible. They were nice in the first year or so when ragdoll started, but they became extremely boring.
Nowadays, they are an excuse for extremely lazy death animations. Its simple, you make NONE. Everyone dies from ragdolls. Oh, so awesome, uh? And since they said monsters had various (lots of) death animations, I'm sure we won't see any plain ragdoll death.
I'm personaly already satisfied of the killing in the gameplay videos.

No one cares that you don't care about how WoW does it. Close minded idiots that automatically stop caring when WoW is named are not needed.

360 does not support keyboard.
And god bless them. Keyboard on a console, especially with all the shooters there is = completely stupid. Why even have controllers on these consoles then I wonder.

I miss the days where buying a game and having absolutely everything with it was standard.
Beside, what does WoW offer?
Name change?
Sex change?
Server change?
Thats it, I think. Diablo 2 certainly doesn't need to drain money any more than simple features like this. Maybe some fee to make your account and its characters permanent (otherwise they are deleted after 90 days). Small things like that. But the point is, they really don't need to do anything more.

That includes unlimited storage.
I am fully against it. This kind of thing is garbage (sorry) to have us pay more for it. Any kind of -storage- they have in the game should be what everyone has, no question. I wouldn't suggest Blizzard to cross any of these lines. Its bad.
This kind of lines get crossed one and there is no stopping them. Trust me. Way too much things have been ruined starting from the most stupid things to give to players that helped them, and then it just grows into something big and ruins it for everyone.
As far as HC goes I also agree with you. Something like resurection of an hardcore character is laughable. That this idea would even ever be considered 1 second by Blizzard scares me.

Its not long before all we see from you is your equipment.
Not saying I am against it, though. Especially when it comes to the head, sometimes I wish it had WoW's options (hide helm, so you see the head) and with some configuration. I don't see anything wrong with that, saying "you won't see it when there is a lot of action"... well of course, you generally don't focus on your friends in battle.
I think it could be nice, but I'm not expecting it, and it wouldn't change much in the end anyway.

First, Diablo isn't WoW, they don't have thousands of super powerful computer running their servers which is partly why it has monthly fees. I don't think you realize the insane amount of items ID that would be created and that their servers would need to load, keep and compare all the time.
The reasons duping were possible are flaws within the making of the game itself. Every game has its flaws of course, but Diablo 2 has flaws way beyond the standard, because quite an old game, that allows Duping, I'm guessing mainly related to how client and server information are handled, and what decides what and how.
Your system is just like a way to ignore the true problem of things like duping and create a funky solution. Can't say it wouldn't work, but its technically a very bad idea for dodging the real issue.
I am also impressed that you even possibly -think- that such an idea, or that ANY effective idea to counter duping and the like, would not be found yet by Blizzard, with so many people working on the game. Please don't waste their times with that.

There was discussions about this at blizzard's forum already. I think 4 players is a bit too small, 6 would be nice and a lot agreed. 8 is too much.
No... use your head a bit. Its not just a question of numbers and nowhere in "multiplayer" does it says it needs more than 2 players simultaneously playing. The question is whatever works best. Having the right amount of players as maximum will have a huge impact on the game. If the max stays at 8 and its too spammy, then chances we will see this more than anything else, which is bad.

You have better chances to see the number of player go DOWN than UP. More player is -not- better. There will probably be something entirely different for PvP, though.

Is that post serious?

Excuse me? Where did they say this?

Thats EA alright. Take the effort to "show" something amazing, then don't give a crap and force the production of the game to go as fast as possible, and use as little money as possible. (and they are buying so many company all over, and most accept because "OMG, that gives us access to so much more money for the good of the game!", but these retarded people don't realize anything).
Then send the game around, also with an amazingly stupid DRM system or some shit. In case of some games, make sure to cut the game in as many expansions as possible. Yes, Blizzard does that, but they don't -cut the game in 3 from what it was originally intended-. They actually give us content worth multile buys. EA just make sure you have to buy as much as possible to get little content.
Sorry, that was probably quite off topic, but I fucking hate EA. Its like the dark side of gaming, ruining everything, and EA is making sure piracy remains an extremely common practice with their stupid ways. I just can't control it, I have too much anger when it comes to EA. Blizzard is the only company I still trust, but even then they are getting on grey territories. Its the dark age of gaming.
