My spec are far from top-of-the line, its good technically but just a single core and nothing more.
I'm hoping this will get me picked. I'm sure they want to test it on all kind of system.
So, if you have a crappy system, don't hesitate.
This is great news by the way. Its been.. wow, a long time since I subscribed for the SC2 Beta and I'm still waiting, someday, for a god damn email saying I'm in
I'm still extremely skeptical about SC2. To be honest, I'm afraid that it will turn out trash... I REALLY don't want that to happen. And I hope I get in the beta and that it makes me feel better about it.
This post in short: About damn time!

Jan 18, 2010SFJake posted a message on New Forum Feature: Experience the ExperienceI have to say, -bars- is not fun to look at. Especially not these, I'd rather just have the numbers than bars, which tells me absolutely nothing. Its hard to compare from bars like that.Posted in: News
I also don't see what all this award and posting and "hey, be as active as possible in a ...forum" is about, but I don't particularly care. I don't see how that could push any average guy that comes by to post more, and I don't care because its meaningless no matter how you put it.
I think some people -really- have an addiction problem to Levels and XP. -
Nov 9, 2009SFJake posted a message on Torchlight Ups the AntePosted in: NewsQuote from "Manmountain" »i think expanding on their idea of having torchlight as an mmo is an interesting idea, particularly as you can create your own levels, and how the game is so open of modifications. i think there is some potential for wc3 style online roleplaying sessions. and having the level editor so user friendly and open to creative coding only aids this. ...so i see some potential!
just recently i dl'd mods for levels 100-999 (along with the levels you need to gain the experience) with respec options and elixirs for faster gameplay speed and character skins.. and the game has only been out for a little while
Who said anything about mods for the MMO? Mods obviously don't quite work with MMO... -

Its a waste of time to try and argue this with people like that. -
Nov 8, 2009SFJake posted a message on Death Mechanics of Diablo IIIHeavy death punishments does nothing but frustrates player.Posted in: News
I'm all for fearing death, but seriously.. Take D2. I had a few different punishements and also lost of XP.
I was not scared of losing XP by itself. What I hated, was when I died once at a point, and then kept dying over and over, losing my work because I died.
I personally can't stand doing things over. Deleveling is also a dumb idea. I went through this already, don't make me do it AGAIN.
I generally hate dying, too. I'm a player that will generally stop playing a game the moment I die because most will punish me by simply and pointless wasting my time.
I got it, I made a mistake. Instead of having to waste more time to get to that point, why don't you get me back there quickly so I can try again?
I think WoW did that right, if anything, as in the only thing you really lost is money because of durability lost. -
Nov 8, 2009SFJake posted a message on Diablo II Patch 1.13- More Delays, Hopefully a Brighter FutureIt just means that they don't want to bother giving us a simple resolution increase like the hack and it must include a lot of other little fixes to the AI or it could lead to abuse, as well as some skills might be considered too much at the added range, etc.Posted in: News
This is truly the only issues with this. Otherwise, hacker can do it, they can. -
Nov 5, 2009SFJake posted a message on Torchlight Ups the AnteWell, I'm surprised. Thanks for the link. Oh well. If they stick to the idea of giving the player no real advantages if they use money, I guess its not so bad, but in these guess I really wonder if they can make that much money out of it.Posted in: News
Unless, of course, you require insane grinding if you don't buy anything.
Bleh. I don't see anything good that could come out of this. -

I'm sorry, what?
Where? Is this a joke? Haha. I mean, I was actually expecting to try the game, because what "I" heard is, you buy the game, and you don't have to play monthly.
Free to play MMO with the objective of making money is the biggest rip off ever.
Quote from "Blaze47" »However, Runic's MMO is going to be serious competition for WoW when it comes out. I see Runic impacting Blizz more on the WoW side than the Diablo side, honestly. I still don't see how WoW has been the industry idol for so long.
Really? I'm not expecting it to be much more competition than any other MMO out there... -
Nov 5, 2009SFJake posted a message on Torchlight Ups the AntePosted in: NewsQuote from "XXLaw" »Been playing this for a while now, I have to say - You can just feel that the people behind Diablo have worked at this. ^^
Great game, recommend to all Diablo fans.
To me, Torchlight is the perfect example of how certain things must change. It takes more than D2 than what we expect from D3.
I wish TL did hold me for a bit, but really, 2 days and thats it, I will probably not play this game again except for mods.
I don't it as unusual that they don't release informations on D3.. why would they? Just wait... -

Oct 19, 2009SFJake posted a message on Diablo II MysteriesPosted in: NewsQuote from "Gheed2010" »So, before WoW's release, when they would have a major release every year with less than a fifth of the current development staff and less than a tenth of the current revenue - what was that? Did games like Diablo, Starcraft, Diablo 2, Brood War, Lord of Destruction suck?
Your point?
More people and more revenue = faster game?
You know the market is more demanding these days as well, right?
You don't have a point, you're just throwing shit around. -
Oct 19, 2009SFJake posted a message on Diablo II MysteriesIn this day and age, not every company can afford it. The way it is now, the way the MARKET is and all, its all counter intuitive to having good games. Only big ones like Blizzard can afford such a long "iteration" process, as you call it.Posted in: News
EA could, but they don't. They just abuse the market and make as much money as possible with games that certainly have none of their elements reconsidered, they are just thrown around with good graphics and as fast as possible.
Its sad really. I'm just glad that, since Blizzard -can- afford it, they do it. And it'll pay off in the end, I'm sure. -

Your ideas are fucking ridiculous! :P:D:)
The second example is slightly less insulting
Indeed, they look entirely different. The first one could easily looked frustrated, while the 2nd looks more like a good answer to a not-so-serious idea.
Smileys do make a big difference!
I have something to ask about this system. You say that points will expire after 3 months.
Its all great, but what for the points we got before? I got 3 that will follow me for 1 -year-. I won't cry a river for it, but I do find it a bit unfair now, especially since 4 more -will- get me banned (and only 2 will get me banned for more than I can take :P). -

As far as I'm concerned, this looks satisfying. A few things, however:
-I don't think a time limit should be given with this. There are MANY things that can remove the buff. A time limit just feels completely ridiculous.
-Of course, losing it on death is more-or-less necessary without a time limit.
-I think if it doesn't stack, it kills 90% of the purpose of this buff. It should have you killing as much as possible up to a limit, where you kill a boss and get good chances for good loot. Thats how it sounds fun to me.

You don't have a clue what kind of anger is in me. Its a deep, deep hatred for the entire world. You haven't seen nothing yet.

Bwahaha.
Its just too funny. I mean, we HAVE to link posts like this to Blizzard. They actually made this pathetic feature and this horrible UI to help newbies, and newbies are just more confused as to why the hell its working as it is! And rightfully so! And "Elective mode", I mean, have you ever seen such a dumb option in any game? I haven't!

If there is no "lag", then there is a lack of checks, and there are holes for hacking. Its plain and simple logic, I don't know how they could think they're reinventing it.

Well, even that undeniable truth isn't quite understood properly it seems, since you force us to level to level 10. However as the beta shows, thats pretty quick and easy, and shows almost nothing of the game.
Also, some much needed change for the skill system. Still can't see all the skills in one spot, though. Nevermind the runes. Thats one thing you're apparently still too blind to listen to.

So, in your opinion, Bioware is doing a better job than Blizzard?
That -is- extremely hard to take seriously. Now, I've been blaming Blizzard a lot for many things and I've seen their share of incompetence... but still.

And by the way, they have yet to say -a single thing on the matter-. As long as this is the case and as long as this UI is as senseless, purposeless and dumb as it is, this whining is deserved and should continue.

Frankly, this is annoying. There is already NO point in team games besides killing things faster, but now in a 4 player game you're actually going to get a lot less magical items with a lot of magic find.
I wouldn't dare talk numbers, but still. This sounds to me like its encouraging solo play even more and frankly, this makes playing with strangers an even more bothersome experience. You just gave me one more reason to stick to myself.

Personally, the only reason I want it, and why I want it on the left mouse button, is because I hate having skills on left click, thats for movement and basic attack, its simple, its how its supposed to be. Melee characters do have good replacement for a left click, but others simply don't.

Thats exactly how it feels to me.
