Dec 11, 2009Vnom posted a message on The Wait is Over -- PTR Patch 1.13The thing that bugs me is the classes are still not balanced. It's not that hard to do I could do it in a couple of days. Balancing for player versus monster not pvp.Posted in: News
No new items or sets.
All they need to do to fix tppk is have a box where you check it and it allows, disallows people to go hostile with you. -

Each player gets there own item drops, so no click fest.
All you have to do to get gold is to walk over it....(auto luting would still be cool)
I love the idea to only make rares, uniques, visible with click of button. -

Nov 9, 2009Vnom posted a message on Death Mechanics of Diablo IIIWell if you die like 10 times in one area It could get annoying having to do it again from the last checkpoint.Posted in: News
I was playing super Mario world the other day and died after completing 3-4 levels and had to start back at level one. It was so annoying. I know this is an extreme example. -

Official Blizzard Quote:
It's just too early to put a ton of thought in to what penalties there should be, if any, added on top of it.
They might add more.
The current punishment is that you have to run back, and possibly have to fight your way through monsters alone, with lowered hp (unless your friends comes to get you).
It is still bigger than the D2 punishment. You could just let your friends clear the field and return through a tp and get your corpse with full health. You will never find yourself unable to get your corpse, which just pissed people off and made them rejoin, which produces the same result as respawning in D3. Unless you count the experience punishment, but you pretty much never died in the end-game unless you went solo.
You could still let your friends clear the path to the checkpoint. Thats what friends are for.
When you die you should lose % percent of your gold on hand(towards making gold valuable), % experience, and a durability loss(could be annoying) , and respond were you died at with 5 seconds of immunity were you cant get killed or kill, but can move around. Also after like 5-20 deaths you then are sent back to the begging of the checkpoint.
That way you are able to stay in the action without redoing a whole dungeon floor, death has a penalty and is something you don't want to happen, but wont cross the annoyance line(hopefully).
This is all just my opinion that I don't even know if I would like. One of those things you have to try out for your self. -
Nov 9, 2009Vnom posted a message on Death Mechanics of Diablo IIIPosted in: NewsQuote from "emilemil1" »They said that there will be checkpoints in the ends of each dungeon/dungeon level.
I read that already, a dungeon could be any length.
But if it is fairly close together how is that a punishment?
You die, respond at checkpoint, go and find team members and wait for health to regenerate.
Diablo 2 minus the need to go back to town and added low health. -
Nov 9, 2009Vnom posted a message on Death Mechanics of Diablo IIIPosted in: NewsQuote from "luc1027" »Blizzard already talk about that, they want the person who die, can rejoin the team fast and return to action quickly. They will have many Check point, so many and so close that you never running for a while before regroup your team.
I don't know why people ask it, all that informations is already know from long ago.
Where does it say they will have loads of checkpoints very close together?
And if they do have checkpoints that close together what will make death a punishment. Oh i forgot the low health which you can gain back by health orbs.
Oh no I died I need to get my health back up. I guess I will wait for my team members to kill a couple of things and wallah. -
Nov 8, 2009Vnom posted a message on Death Mechanics of Diablo IIIWhat consequences? Oh yea low health watch your team members kill while you sit and regenerate.Posted in: News
Not meant to sound mean like it does. lol -
Nov 8, 2009Vnom posted a message on Death Mechanics of Diablo IIIPosted in: NewsQuote from "scyberdragon" »I don't think the monsters respawn so you wouldn't have to fight your way back. You would catch up to your group quickly because they are stopping to fight.
If the monsters don't respond then how is that a penalty?
That just wastes your time to get back in the action. -
Nov 8, 2009Vnom posted a message on Death Mechanics of Diablo IIIOk to many posts to read but here are my ten cents.Posted in: News
They need to space the checkpoints out carefully, having a death reset you back a long way from where you started will piss a lot of people off making them not want to play especially if the area is really hard and you reset like 10 times.
Also when you die they need to make you invincible for like 5 seconds to regroup and not get killed right after.
Also when you are in a party and you are the only one in the party to die what the hell will they do.
Who would want to fight there way back to there party, that would take a while and there party would be leaps and bounds a head. -

Oct 2, 2009Vnom posted a message on What Do YOU Want To Know About Diablo 3?After listening to the diablo 3 theme song overture I have to admit I was disappointed. Not because the song was bad but because it didn't have that hopeless slightly scary and mellow felling mixed with despair. The music felt more like a superhero trying to save the day during an epic battle.Posted in: News
So my question is what lead to the decision too use super hero music instead of diablo 1 2 style music? - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Yea that makes sense especially after some research I did on different colling systems.
I was looking at the liquid colling, but a lot of different sites say it's pretty hard to install.
And if installed incorrectly can ruin hardware.
decisions decisions decisions.

Ingredients
1 (8-oz.) package elbow macaroni
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 (8-oz.) block sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded and divided

A shape shifter class has a strong possibility of making it back. Similar to the druid but big overhaul update.
Also the Necromancer as it is a really well built class and still has room for improvements and could still have an overhaul while keeping to it's same core archetype. \
I also would like to see what the diablo 3 team could do with an Assassin like character.
Yes I understand diablo 3 isn't here yet but we already have a good idea of 4/5 classes trees and most think the 5th class uses bows.

I was talking about expansion for diablo 3.
Not diablo 3 itself.

What is the most likely class to make it in a diablo 3 expansion?
