Looks good. Better than some games I've played with a team behind them. *silent anger* But I'd totally be into beta testing it. This is me telling you, that I am going to be one of your closed beta testers. Not asking. @.o No I j/k lulz. I do want to beta test though!
For your skill, no you don't, but if you want to do a norml attack, the range you have matters. ATM you have a short bow, and I think your range for that is 4 squares.
And no attacking is seperate. when I mean moves, I mean as in how many steps you can take.
I think a smart think for you to do is move west once, and attack the ghoul, cause with your range you can reach him.
As in, 4 squares in between me and the monstie, or just 3?
Also, is there some kind of cooldown on our spells? Like, since I used my skill, can I use it again next round, since I have enough mana?
One other thing, sry lol. Does mana regen start at the begining of my next turn? As in, there isn't some kind of cooling period for mana regen. Some games I've played do that, and I think it makes sense. The second you get a cut, does it start healing? I think the same should go for mana regen and hp regen. But only from the 1st hit. After that you're already healing so it doesn't matter if you're being hit. Just me and my wonderings... Sorry.
The idea intrigues me. The problem I have is that, I won't be able to post until later on in the day. As I am at work and don't have time for my long rambling posts, describing how the butterfly's wings wooshed through the dust as an arrow wizzed through the skull of a retreating human. I describe things too much. I get booted from WC3 rps for doing too much rping. You're saying that the posts have to be detailed and such, but to carry on a conversation with another person would require us to not have quite so much detail, and simply one sentence posts. And do you mean RP or RPG, the difference (to me) being that an RPG is roll 1d5 to decide blah blah blah etc etc. An RP uses these elements some, but the storyline is far more important than any real fighting we do. I just want to know if this is something I will be able to do, or if it is something I would like to do at all. I joined Kamrad's RPG he's going to make, and I was wondering if it was like that, or more storyline based. Also, if I'm not able to post until about 6:30ish, would I be okay? Thanks for reading!
Haha, that's ok.
Yeah you don't have to only have +1 :]
I may right up a story later on. I'll post it somewhere. I don't expect anyone to read it. When I go plot/storyline/rp character description, I go whole hog. Prepare for teh pages!
Quote from "Kiserai" »
Name: Kiserai
Class: Scout
Description: Almost looks as if he belongs more in behind a plow on a farm than in battle, wearing humble yet well-stitched clothing. Lanky build with blonde hair that hangs just above his shoulders. Easily mistaken for a commoner save for the bow he carries (obviously) and a certain demeanor and presence that settles somewhere just between brooding and distant-minded, yet always seems aware of his surroundings.
Name: Dernal
Class: Scout
Description: He lived with his family in the woods until he was 11. While he lived with his family, he practiced hunting daily. He went off to find fame and fortune in the world.
I didn't want to try with the description. A question, am I allowed to +2 to a stat instead of just +1? If so I'm going to edit this. +2 AGI instead of +1 DEF
I also want the sorceress to protect some undefended village. I just that'd be cool. If there is ever a raid, they all get in one house, and she just epic wins. As for the Druid, I think he would have become a Hermit, living in the middle of some long forgotten forest, with tons of animals around. Maybe he's forgotten how to talk in English because he only talks to animals now. Crazy Hermit Druid FTW! The Barbarian is obvious. The Necromancer... My 2nd favorite class from D2. I like the idea of coming up to a graveyard, being attacked, and then skeletons come up to help. However, he was 200 (correct me if I am wrong) in D2. This is only 20 years later. I think he'd still me alive. I think he'd be the one to not be corrupted by evil, among all the heroes of D2. People probably think it's the opposite, but because he controls undead and such, I don't think the Evils would have much sway over him. What I want, is some hunched up old geezer who looks old and decrepid, he carries around just a basic walking staff. You meet him in some generic town. Next thing you know, hordes of Demon and Undead are swarming the place. All the townspeople are running around, screaming and stuff, and the few warriors there are quickly taken down. After about 10 seconds, the only people left are the old guy and you. The horde rushes at you. You prepare to fight. Then all of a sudden, they just start dying. You glance at the old man. Now he's standing up straight, and the staff has morphed into some huge bone with a skull on the end. Each time one of the horde goes down, it rises back up and starts killing. By the time they get to you, most of the army is now on your side, and there is only a few left. It would be some kind of cutscene for a quest, where he takes you aside and informs you of the great evil threatening the land. This could be like, the begining. The Necromancer comes to you and tells you about it. Blah blah blah. Insert plot here. If you're the Barbarian, I could see the Necromancer knowing you or something. I just think it'd be cool to have him rip faces off an army, because we all know he was easily that powerful in Diablo 2, you just never got to really try him out on an ARMY. I'm talking thousands. Next hero, the assassin. I think she settled down. Just my opinion, she settled down. And when all this happened, she protects her family because she kept all her old gear. You meet her by walking through a town, cleaving your way through craploads of demons, and eventually you find a house. The house has hundreds of demons piled up around it. You walk inside and then she jumps from the shadows and nearly stabs you, then realises you're not undead. She lets you go, you chat it up for a bit, insert quest here. Amazon is part of a band of warriors, attempting to fight their way into hell, problem is, she's older and not as strong. (The Barbarian is a God all the way around, so he just gets more powerful with age.) So she and her warriors can't fight their way into hell, and eventually you meet up with them, and beat your way into hell with them. They can hold of wave after wave of demons, they just can't make any ground on them. So they set up a base inside of hell where they will attempt to kill the few remaining prime evils. The Paladin's story so far is based off of the assumption that you will be fighting angels. He helps you get into hell, because he's pissed that the holy powers he uses are now trying to destroy him. So you and him rush the gates of heaven and beat your way, killing everything in your path, and so long as you keep him alive, he helps you. He doesn't suck up xp. Because that would make him a jerk. Paladins aren't allowed to be jerks. And you fight the big bad heaven boss, and if you manage to get him to 1/2 health, casts some uber spell on the Paladin and turns him against you, where the heaven boss flees, and you have to fight him. (If he died before this, you don't get to beat the boss to 1/2 health. He's just there. And the heaven boss just walks away while you two fight.) Once you kill him, you go chasing after the heaven boss, who (depending on which scenario described earlier you went through) is either at 3/4 health, or full hp. 3/4 because he had to regen some in that time period. He's in freaking heaven. Someone has to be able to heal up there. This is the crap I think should go down. But that's just me.
Stupid logging in thing. I had to type this TWICE! TWICE DANG IT TWICE!
Heh, posted it and saw the block of text. Hard to tell how big it is in that little tiny quick reply thing. Now READ IT!
mmm i think its a good skill, kinda like the last stand skill form wow
Well, that's the arguement (mostly) for why it doesn't belong in D3. It's too warcraftish, and I half agree. I don't think you should just, *angel chorus* revive. I think that some type of Frenzy unleashed when he's that low, that reduces damage by a certain amount, ending up being about a 30% increase in health. But just reviving isn't Diablo! It's just not!
