Well said!Quote from "treckin" »SC2 is sure to blow the socks off the rest of the PC gaming market; MW2 is nothing. You thought millions of sweaty teenagers lined up for that 3peat, wait until SC2 hits the shelves. It wil be the true return of PC gaming.
People fail to realize that PC gaming is NOT dead, blizzard is just sleeping.
Who else remembers when SC:BW and D2LOD and WCIII AND WOW were all top hits?
You used to be able to type a random string of keys "asdfadfhadfgsDFASFDH" as the gamename in d2, and it would already exist!!
or a run would say "dankbaal-002" 1 person. When you join, it would be full.
Remember having to wait anxiously for hte joingame list to refresh? Now its just 15 games, 8 bots and 7 people looking for ptorches. -
Nov 19, 2009IceBlade posted a message on More Hopes Dashed, 1.13 Delay Going StrongFG = Forum Gold. I have an account on d2jsp. You can sell d2 items or items in other games for virtual money (forum gold) and then buy items with the gold you obtain. It's like trading for runes. You trade an item for runes and then sell the rune for something you need. It's just a currency. You just use forum gold instead of runes. You sell stuff for forum gold and then buy what you need with it.Posted in: News
If you're like me and don't play D2 consistently 'cause of work, school, etc., you can sell out in one ladder season, go MIA for a few months and then buy back in. -

I wish they could implement some kind of a FG system in the battle net... but i guess thats a feature we wont see in d2. Maybe d3.
True but I want to play until then lol. I'll sell off some of my stuff I guess. It'd be cool if they did implement a fg system but I don't think it will ever happen.
Quote from "reform" »Can't believe they failed at making an increased stash size. Countless mods have achieved this, yet Blizz can't?
Like some others have said.. it's not necessarily that they can't do it. It's the fact that the server load would exceed capacity and that they won't spend the extra money to update servers for a 10-year-old game. -

Except for perhaps the link bar at the top. The one we have now is rough and textured... rough and ready like prison sex... Oh yeah
Mockery said the graphics aren't done yet so I'm sure we'll be getting some sexy custom nav buttons.
So about the design. First let me say I love the positioning of the login box. Very nice. Not so sure I like the removal of the quick links. I personally don't use them very much but it's nice to have them there. They help organize things.
I'm looking forward to the new themed graphics of course but I have a suggestion. Considering this community is filled with talented artists, I suggest holding a graphics contest to let the members get a chance to design the background images. NOT the layout itself but just the graphics that will replace the defaults. And who knows maybe you'll end up with a bunch of cool themes.
The fonts are way too big. The banner will need an overhaul, which can also be a fan contest. Ads don't bother me. They're a necessary evil. And that one's kind of funny. -

Jul 7, 2009IceBlade posted a message on Win A Trip To BlizzCon!Posted in: NewsQuote from "Iscariot" »To answer it's a Canadian government thing, any prize that can be won by just pure luck must be accompanied by a relatively simple math question (along the line of"what is 2 + 3 * (12+9)?"). What I find even worse is that, as usual, Quebec with it's god awful laws makes it either too troublesome or impossible to allow us poor folks into these lovely sweepstakes.
I hope one of you love people win, and then gives us all a lovely log of how pampered you were :P.
We have to answer those questions if we win $2 on a scratch card or a free cheeseburger at Mickey D's. It's retarded. And yeah.. I'm from Quebec as well. Makes me want to kill whichever jackass made it impossible for me to win this - and other - contests. All my hopes flared for a minute.

Most of you seemed interested in playing USEast so we'll be playing Softcore Ladder on USEast, although that doesn't mean we can't create squads within the clan for Hardcore. Oh one last thing. Tags will not be mandatory although you may tag yourself if you wish.

Alright so I tried to make a list but the other thread is filled with off-topic garble. SO.. I'm making a new thread.
This thread is to form a clan together. Since no one has stepped forward in organizing it I've decided to get it going. I don't suggest I lead it 'cause I'm new here and some of you might be opposed to it so for the moment just consider myself an organizer and we'll deal with the leadership issue soon.
We'll be using the site http://www.fallenangelsx.com which has the perfect theme for a Diablo-based clan and is entirely paid for by the WoW leadership and other donaters. I am an admin of this rather dead, but once thriving, clan site and creating a new division for D2 won't be a problem. [Note: The site is now up and running and anyone who is playing D2 THIS season is welcome to join us.]
[Edit: We now have a 50-slot Ventrilo server shared among various divisions.
Connect Info:
IP: vent.fallenangelsx.com
Port: 3810

]
The WoW leadership may let us use their Vent server but if we have too many members interested we may all have to pitch in ourselves. A 25-man server is only $10/ month. I'm willing to pay that but if we need a bigger one I'll have to ask for donations. It's only $0.40 a slot so I'm sure some of you could afford to pitch in $1 for your slot and someone less fortunate than yourself. The vent thing is totally optional and may not happen. I know money starts to scare people away.
This would be a great way to organize things and keep everyone here all together. We all know the friends list on b-net fills up fast. What better way to organize everyone?
Please keep the clutter to a minimum and don't spam or go off topic. In your post please include your battle.net username and I will edit this post and include a headcount below. If you have ideas, would like to contribute somehow, have past leadership experience and are willing to lead, please PM me.

Myself and a couple of friends intend to start up chars when the ladder resets but if you're all interested I'm an admin on a clan site which is hardly in use. Could use the site and forums and it would be no problem to re-create a Diablo II division (we used to have one). The site even goes perfectly with the Diablo theme. I'd definitely be interested to start a clan with those leader types which have already mentioned their interest in this thread. I'd also be just as willing to set up the division page and forums and let whomever take the reigns. That last bit depends on when the patch releases and how busy I am at the time. Think about it.
http://www.fallenangelsx.com
And who knows. Maybe somewhere down the road if it's still alive and kicking we'll have somewhere to stay for D3.
Edit: I also have access to a few Vent servers we could probably use if no one else has one I could most likely get permission to use them or perhaps split the costs between a few people and get our own.
