You used to be able to type a random string of keys "asdfadfhadfgsDFASFDH" as the gamename in d2, and it would already exist!!
or a run would say "dankbaal-002" 1 person. When you join, it would be full.
Remember having to wait anxiously for hte joingame list to refresh? Now its just 15 games, 8 bots and 7 people looking for ptorches. -

You can sell d2 items or items in other games for virtual money (forum gold) and then buy items with the gold you obtain. It's like trading for runes. You trade an item for runes and then sell the rune for something you need. It's just a currency. You just use forum gold instead of runes. You sell stuff for forum gold and then buy what you need with it.Posted in: News
If you're like me and don't play D2 consistently 'cause of work, school, etc., you can sell out in one ladder season, go MIA for a few months and then buy back in. -

True but I want to play until then lol. I'll sell off some of my stuff I guess. It'd be cool if they did implement a fg system but I don't think it will ever happen.

Like some others have said.. it's not necessarily that they can't do it. It's the fact that the server load would exceed capacity and that they won't spend the extra money to update servers for a 10-year-old game. -

Mockery said the graphics aren't done yet so I'm sure we'll be getting some sexy custom nav buttons.
So about the design. First let me say I love the positioning of the login box. Very nice. Not so sure I like the removal of the quick links. I personally don't use them very much but it's nice to have them there. They help organize things.
I'm looking forward to the new themed graphics of course but I have a suggestion. Considering this community is filled with talented artists, I suggest holding a graphics contest to let the members get a chance to design the background images. NOT the layout itself but just the graphics that will replace the defaults. And who knows maybe you'll end up with a bunch of cool themes.
The fonts are way too big. The banner will need an overhaul, which can also be a fan contest. Ads don't bother me. They're a necessary evil. And that one's kind of funny. -

He wrote a series about a fantasy world set after "The Great Wars," filled with magic and such. Then he wrote a new series based in our world where magic was starting to surface. And finally he wrote a series inbetween, connecting the two. So you get to read about our world falling apart and turning into a new world of magic. Pretty awesome. His stories are spread out over like 3000 years with the link connecting all of them being the magic and evolution of the races (Elves, Trolls, Dwarves, Gnomes, Man.) Quite different since you don't actually follow the characters through different books. Or if you do they're older and you're now reading about their grand children or decendents. Very good series.

Oh and am I the only one that feels bad for this kid? Gets up there to have some fun and enter a contest, falls and gets hurt, and you call him overweight or say he's probably faking it? He doesn't even look overweight. He looks like he has a bit of a belly. He's just a big guy. Man people piss me off.

Thanks for the offer, Nektu but I've been in Fallen Angels since 2001 so I'll be staying there. Not that I have much time to play anyways but yeah. I mostly play with old school members who I used to play Broodwar with back in the day. Good times good times.

My schedule's pretty hectic lol but yeah I'm tired of playing alone. Whether it's 2vs2 or practicing builds together I'm just looking for some people to play with.

If I remember correctly you have to wait 2 mins if you try to join another game too fast and get failed to join game. Oh and I almost forgot. You can also get the failed to join screen if the server crashes and you lag out. This was happening a LOT last time I played due to people attempting to roll back the server.

For the temp ban you're only allowed 20 games an hour per cdkey set. Unless it's changed recently. So that's 20 games of 3 mins each. To get around this I bought an extra cdkey set and I just login on a different computer. You could also use a virtual machine to run a seperate install of D2 on your comp or there are programs to inject the second set of keys into your Diablo II install but some people prefer not to use said programs. Having two sets of keys gives me 40 games per hour. Plenty enough unless you're doing pindle runs or something.

I don't know about nvidia and intel but I do know that AMD bought ATI sooo yeah I'm willing to bet their cards work best with their own chips. As for nvidia or ATI.. like it's been said, it really depends on the card. If the game does run BEST on nvidia cards you probably won't notice the difference if you get a decent ATI card. What really matters is driver support so if Blizzard does develop their games on nvidia systems then I'm willing to bet nvidia will have out the best drivers first.
