posted a message on BRT checking AH
if gold is the currency i sure hope it doesnt get into big numbers again. i dont like the idea of having to be a high level to get maxed out gold just to buy an expensive items from AH. i can see diablo dropping 50-100g in hell mode. and 10-20 in nightmare quite comfortably. though that means the odd gold coin off the odd zombie should be umcommon as rares. I mean, who carries 10 000g in their pocket, must be pretty heavy. (not that that matters, or that you have to be high levels to get more gold holding capabilities, i didnt really notice the gold in those ways [but that may have been because its worth less]) yay...long

    The community is retarded.

The players are stupid and never really know anything, even if they pretend to. Their ideas sucks and they all are a waste of time.

....This is what I feel like most developers think of us, sometimes. I have never seen any just go ahead and be so "open" with the development of their game. I followed fan games that obviously worked with constant feedback from their players, which could constantly play an update version of the game. And what is wrong with that? Players were always happy.

I'm not saying I don't understand when developers want to rely mostly on themselves and their team and not on thousands of players all having different opinions on what the game should be, though...

I just think we'll have never have a good balance. I think involving the community into the development of games more would do wonder, but the current trend is exactly the opposite.

I didnt think they read diablofans ideas  i thought this place was just to quell what need for a diablo 3 demo we would find... although it does seem to do the opposite ^_^

though i agree with the retarded bit... most of us cant spell

I think they will just make up something to do with diablo lore, like a rogue soldier or apprentice sentry. just off the top of my head, i can imagine a rogue guard of the rathma faith using piercing black arrows and blood related magic. not that i know anything about rathma =.

posted a message on D3: Potions
They still have potions, but they work more slowly. If you think the orbs take away from the believability of the game, imagine your character enhailing potions that instantly cleanse you of harm as fast as you press a button. I imagine thats the reason they tried to spread out the healing possibilities, that and bosses (with the issue of stacking tps and pots).

I would love something like a Frozen Orb but then with arrows. Shoot 1 arrow and it explodes into 30+ small ones all with different elements. Mayhem on the screen :P

EDIT: Or wouldn't it be a great idea to have a Bow and special Arrows as well? Something like a Sword and Shield for a Barbarian.

    Bloodraven's Justice (Bow)
    *Can use Silver Arrow's
    blahblah
    blahblah

    Silver Arrow:
    350-400% Damage to Demons (varies)
    Adds 180-200 Magic Damage
    Prevent Monster Heal
    20% Deadly Strike

Like the bow from wow that makes its own arrows =3... yay wow

Its true, i stopped playing when i got the best gear.

AND THEN CAME MR LADDER!!! i was like zomg im not spethal i goda do eet again zomgyaface. and this was justified with itemage, though everyone knew the real reason, i would not have considered it in the first place without the items (though later on having no friends in non-ladder was the reason to do it again! =3)

Twas fun, since i had friends to level with.

posted a message on Diablo 3 Difficulty.
blizz strives to make the game fullfilling in every aspect of the game, and if they want to make the endgame, and probably largest time spender of the game to be fullfilling, they are going to have to make it possible to kill mosters and pick up gear enough to keep most entertained and not fustraited.

I have difficulty seeing the game get to that degree of difficulty in something that takes up the majority of gameplay but i guess it could be possible after certain points in Hell difficulty.

I dont see any real brain squelching difficulty in normal combat without adding a tactically maniplative (levers and portals with puzzle like aspects) room with partially impossible monsters inside.

I got to endgame in d2, and got godly gear with all the best game-mashing skill combinations, adn all i learnt was that grinding and trading and rushing for runes were not ideas blizz had in mind for endgame, im guessing they thought just running through dungeons together with friends was enough to keep us entertained. There is actually very little involved in d3 apart from killing monsters, and very little thought going on besides what could make your character better against this type of monster.

Hopefully blizz will take a leap of faith and take a page from the book of fresh ideas, adding something cool.
EG: protecting someone from monsters in a dungeon: you actually have to stop teh monsters from killing the person, and the person actually runs away when being hit with ranged (on low health) and stays a few meters behind you.

posted a message on Melee or Caster?? Which are you?
I found d2 to be much more caster friendly, where everything except the fast monsters fell to your shoot n run/strafe tactics. Also, the spellcasters seemed to dispose of monster much more effectively.

Melee, for me, has only one bonus... reliability. You can just lay back, resisting everything while chopping away at the enemy forever with your hearty lifesteal. Though of course there are flaws in pleantly of cases for both, from the majority of what ive seen this is so.

For us peoplez that appreciate the pretties, spells a frikin awesum o _ O

well.. Cmon lol Warlock makes total sense. Isnt like a warlock a hell-ish type of mage ?
Summoning demons.. Demons living in hell.. wich has alot of fire.
I do admit the witchdoctor shouldnt have alot of fire skills, like he shouldnt be a master at it. Just the firebomb i find makes sense the rest to me doesnt really.

ah... warlocks are just male witches

Seems like blizz tried real hard to link this to the WD's style, having made it a skull bomb that explodes into a spirit-like rage thing that just so happens to do fire damage.

I think they may have added it to give the WD a more diverse range of elemental damage types (and not follow something stupud like magic damage... really, its just white damage, they could have been a little more creative?! but whatever) yay troll ^_^
