Quote from "CrazyCapnMorgan" »As for the picture that Zhar has in the OP, that pic looks solid to me. I'm sold on that look. However, the ones I viewed at Blizz's D3 dot com site were not as forgiving. I'm of the like mind with some people here that the armor look for her, and by that, yes, I mean the shoulderpads/pauldrons, is a bit off. That aside, the concept art for the female monk is decent enough - by looks, you know she's a woman, and by skills in battle, you know that she could probably hold her own against someone like...say, Xena.
Quote from "Pryda" »We can hope its the calm before a storm but who knows. I doubt Blizzard is reforming the game much because of TL, because, lets be honest, TL hasn't introduced anything mindblowingly innovative or industry changing.

I didnt think they read diablofans ideas  i thought this place was just to quell what need for a diablo 3 demo we would find... although it does seem to do the opposite

AND THEN CAME MR LADDER!!! i was like zomg im not spethal i goda do eet again zomgyaface. and this was justified with itemage, though everyone knew the real reason, i would not have considered it in the first place without the items (though later on having no friends in non-ladder was the reason to do it again! =3)
Twas fun, since i had friends to level with.

I have difficulty seeing the game get to that degree of difficulty in something that takes up the majority of gameplay but i guess it could be possible after certain points in Hell difficulty.
I dont see any real brain squelching difficulty in normal combat without adding a tactically maniplative (levers and portals with puzzle like aspects) room with partially impossible monsters inside.
I got to endgame in d2, and got godly gear with all the best game-mashing skill combinations, adn all i learnt was that grinding and trading and rushing for runes were not ideas blizz had in mind for endgame, im guessing they thought just running through dungeons together with friends was enough to keep us entertained. There is actually very little involved in d3 apart from killing monsters, and very little thought going on besides what could make your character better against this type of monster.
Hopefully blizz will take a leap of faith and take a page from the book of fresh ideas, adding something cool.
EG: protecting someone from monsters in a dungeon: you actually have to stop teh monsters from killing the person, and the person actually runs away when being hit with ranged (on low health) and stays a few meters behind you.

Melee, for me, has only one bonus... reliability. You can just lay back, resisting everything while chopping away at the enemy forever with your hearty lifesteal. Though of course there are flaws in pleantly of cases for both, from the majority of what ive seen this is so.
For us peoplez that appreciate the pretties, spells a frikin awesum o _ O

I think they may have added it to give the WD a more diverse range of elemental damage types (and not follow something stupud like magic damage... really, its just white damage, they could have been a little more creative?! but whatever) yay troll
