Well this build revolves around Blade of the Warlord. Due to that fury consuming mechanic Aquilas Cuirass is really out of the question. I run Fury of the Ancients for the big fury boost that gives as well as running with the S&B passive for reduced fury cost. I also run with Zodiac so ensure near 100% Wrath and CotA uptime. The damage difference with CotA down is huge...not to mention the toughness of the rune I'm running.

As soon as I have fury...it's gone!

I'll try to get some video captured soonish.

UPDATE: I made some changes and managed to clear GR60 with relative ease. I truly think with a bit of luck in the way of gear I can definitely make GR70+ a reality!

Well I'm sure my follower stuns some of them but yeah you're probably right. I need to switch out bracers (strongarms aren't proccing either) and then change my cube to something more useful. I have an ancient pair of Sescheron's in my stash.

    Thanks for the feedback!

I put together a LON bash setup that's working pretty well. I cleared GR55 so far and my gear is lacking in some areas.

Has anyone else given this a try yet?

I've been working on this. Seems like converting the standard frenzy/thorns LON build into a S&B build could work but I haven't actually given it a spin yet.

Yeah I guess when it comes down to it S&B will always be limited compared to other builds when it comes to pushing GRs. I miss the vanilla days when the only measuring stick you had to compare against was A3 Depths clear times LOL

I wonder though...perhaps making a "challenge" (of sorts) during this season of creating a S&B build that reaches the highest GR. The Sword & Board challenge? Entries include build, gear, and video proving their best GR run? Might might things interesting this season and break the monotony.

    Any takers!?

So I play all the melee classes primarily and I love how Crusaders get to use shields in all of their builds but I miss S&B being a viable option for Barbs. I was starting to wonder though, couldn't a S&B build for barbs using the namesake passive, and then items that work with block chance such as Blood Brother, Justice Lantern, and maybe even Coven's Criterion be a possible build option? S&B reduces damage taken and fury costs so you could maybe do a variant of Frenzy/Thorns using a shield? Any ideas?

posted a message on Your class in season 7?

Barb for me. I enjoy leapquake with Seismic Slam so much more than I did with Boulder Toss! Waste set will be a good way to get a good farming building going early but the free gear set in no way dictates what class I play. I've been playing a Barb on the PTR and I ended up with a LoN Frenzy build early on (it's just how the drops went) and that build is pretty fun to play too. Barb has a lot of viable options this season!

I'll probably run a Sader on the side as well because thorns is just too much fun to play!

posted a message on Experienced Seasonal Player LFC (Season 6)

A little bit about me: I'm 39 and I've been playing Diablo since D1 in college. I played D3 back in vanilla and hit p100 with my barb back when it was still hard (pre-density patch). I took a break shortly before RoS hit and didn't come back until Season 3 was about to wrap up. With a family and career I can't sit in front of the computer for more than a few hours a week so if you're looking for a guy who plays D3 for a living...I'm not your guy.

What I'm looking for in a clan: I'd prefer a (mostly) seasonal clan with a mature mindset (don't want to deal with a lot of kids). I can't get on voice all the time (especially not at night since my wife is generally asleep when I'm playing) but I have no problem using voice when I can (during the day mostly). I'm easy going and a team player (I'll create and play different builds for the sake of group meta play) and I'd like a clan who is comprised of the same.

I'm mostly familiar playing Barb, Monk, and Sader (although I am kinda tired of playing Barb). I have dabbled a bit with Wizard and could be persuaded to run one if needed but I have ZERO interest playing DH or WD.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Feel free to contact me in game: Zaknaril#1820

posted a message on Which class for S6 start up ?

I think Monk wins for the fastest class to T6. Quin made an excellent guide:

I've been playing Monk the past couple of seasons though so I'm not sure if I'll start with Monk in S6. I may go with some variation of thorns Sader:

I really like the concept and I built one late in S5 that worked pretty good...
