    Holy shit that potion :o

So unless I'm terribly mistaken this means we can get endless potions... WITH legendary affixes?

All of my fuck yes... I can't stress how much that change pleases me.

I don't know about bottomless potions, could just be that that player only has one...

But hell yeah, potions with additional effects is absolutely positively cool.

Also, I do like the fact that different sized Health Potions are being consolidated like they are on console, and just made one size. I think it's kinda silly that smaller and bigger sizes exist. You collect a ton of small ones at the beginning of the game...and they become obsolete after not too long. I'd rather start at the beginning, collecting the same health potions I will at the end, ensuring that by endgame, I have a TON of the same potion!

However...this would lead to us all having oodles more potions than we'll all know what to do with, so...in addition to dropping legendary potions...I kinda hope the standard Health Potions have additional uses. Like, in crafting for instance. That'd be really cool if Health Potions could serve as a crafting material for something special.

    Other potions would suffice, ;-)

Alchemy for the second xpac artisan anyone?

On that note, the more I think about it... the faster I think we will see Diablo 3 xpacs now. Blizzard spent the first year band aiding the game (only to remove/redo many of the band aids in patch 2.0).

Seems to me that as long as RoS doesn't differ the same nerd rage that vanilla did.. they can focus on newer content.

hey - i think i was unclear - i meant on the items themselves that drop - they are broken down into categories. why are they broken out though - does it have to do with enchanting the items (i.e. you can only enchant certain stuff)? does it have any purpose other than for making it easier to analyze items?

All items have primary and secondary rolls now. Primary are damage and defense only; whereas, secondary is everything else. This means that a health globe roll/etc is not competing against an average damage/crit/crit damage/etc roll. You cannot have six damage stats any more... and therefore a non damage start is now worthwhile.

But you can still get trifecta+main stat, right?

You only have 4 rolls to get the 4 you need instead of 6. So miles is right... it's less likely.

Also note, you CANNOT roll the above 4 at the same time as vitality and/or AR.

    Quadfecta means no defensive rolls.

Technicalities. Everyone knows what "melee" means. DHs can melee, but they're obviously a ranged class.

Everyone knows what dual wield means. Crusaders can dual wield, but they're obviously a shield class.

    C wut i did thar?

Classes need distinctions. Making barbs and monks the only dual wielders differentiates them from crusaders.

Crusaders don't get + damage from off hands and cannot dual wield. This is their one option to make their DPS comparable. (Only certain skills get bonuses from shield block amount)

Crusader shields can't have damage bonuses?

No. I'm fairly sure their shields are regular shields, just with crusader only rolls... and possibly slightly higher stats. If crusader shields gave + damage, it would make it the only choice and completely invalidate regular shields such as stormshield and lidless.

I'm totally buying it. Hopefully day one.

What would you guys say if PS4 had an online-always feature? Just wondering. As I'd still like to have a dupe-free online experience.

I don't think that will happen. That would require all purchasers to have ps+...
i dont see why ppl wouldnt want ps+ in all honesty , all the free games that u get for ps4, ps3 and ps vita and other stuff is worth the few bucks a month , if u ask me

I semi agree. However, it's an upkeep fee for your having device.. and our sucks paying for online time if you don't log in.

My point really is that if they enforced online only... People would be forced to pay a quasi monthly fee to Sony (unless they waived it like elder scrolls online is being allows to do).

I'll be at least lurking. My assumption is that the ps4 version will either cause a worse division against the PC tribe, or it will help heal the rift. I'm hoping that it will be so similar to the PC version that people will get over it.... however, 3 words: PC master race.

    My path has been: PC - PS3 - PS4
I've been playing since closed beta, and I play the PC version with and without a controller.

I feel that my experience with the PC would help me with being familiar with the game play mechanics and the systems they have in place, and I have since switched over completely to play on the PS3 in order to become familiar with the console changes and the controls, getting ready for the PS4 version and also because it's been confirmed that PS3 characters will be transferable to the PS4. (which means that my exclusive items will be transferable too) The PS4 will obviously be an upgrade to the PS3, in terms of graphics, additions to D3, etc. and I'm looking forward to playing on it!

For me, the ultimate D3 setup is: TV + Playstation 4/Playstation Vita + Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition + Loot 2.0 Patch

I wish I could buy the vita... but my wife made the PS4 a difficult purchase :(. However, I think I have her convinced on the vita TV whenever it releases.

So my PS4 arrived yesterday, and I have not suffered any of the hardware failures (I made sure to use MY HDMI cable and not the bundled one as I have a suspicion that's the cause ). The UI and beginning feature sets are leaps and bounds above the PS3/360. For example, you can now pair TRUE (no dongle) Bluetooth keyboards.... and I'm thinking you can pair multiple at once and associate them to multiple logged in users. Its also easier to multitask as you can switch between a game application and other applications seamlessly.

I'll be honest and admit that I only have two people on my PSN friends list, but the system is a million times better than the ps3 friends system. It seems like applications can and do integrate it better.

That said... about 25% of the reason I bought the ps4 was for Diablo 3 on console. I enjoyed the demo on my PS3, but the graphics limitations and the impending ps4 release prevented me from buying it. In complete honesty, I will not be buying RoS on PC... and I used to be a PC gamer (and that's where I sunk my hundreds of Diablo 3 hours).

Its not because the console version is better... but because the PC crowd has become too tainted and whiny. Even with only 2 people on my PSN friends list, I would still rather migrate platforms to get away from the toxic, entitled community its becoming.... and most importantly the console crowd is willing to allow Blizzard to attempt to innovate rather than rage about changes from Diablo 2.

That said... how many other people are planning to buy the ps4 version?

People are always going to do things they don't like in order to improve their quality of life.

Which in turn lowers quality of life. Kinda ironical. But following your example and applying the restrictions given to us in RoS, everybody should be forbidden to work and stay home? Does that make everyone happy?

Depending on how you try to axis this, I'd compare it to eliminating the safety nets and making everyone have to work.

HAHA, Sorry son but this is awesome! I was pissed when they took the AH down because i would be forced into trading and dealing with idiots in trade. Thank god we dont have too! Best news i have seen so far. Also.

Who would have forced you? Don't you have a free will?

This is such a silly argument. If I want to pull an analogy... No one forces me to go to work everyday; but , even if I hate my job... I still need to go in order to maintain a quality of life on parity with everyone else.

I damn well could lower my quality of life.. I could get welfare, live in section 8 housing, get food stamps (US rewards the lazy)... but I choose to work so I don't have to live in the ghetto, eat fatty processed food, and can afford to play video games.

People are always going to do things they don't like in order to improve their quality of life.

Alas, it does not. It only has the usual "I can't resist trading if it's there, so let's get rid of it".

Just because you don't agree to an argument doesn't mean it doesn't exist...

It exists, it just isn't "logic", like it says on the comment you quoted.

Just because you don't agree with me, my "logical" arguments are not invalidated.
