I would take the Asus, even tho both are similar, 2 ms response time is the best for gaming, also, LED backlight shoud have a better color reproduction. Btw, 27`, awesome!

I wander what monitors they used for blizzcon 2010, was it a Dell 24 inch? or what?

    Quote from Apoc

Barbarian uses "rage" and the orb fills red. Monk's orb fills white and uses "spirit". Both classes generate their respective energy by dealing damage. Certain moves specify how much rage/spirit they grant per use while others only expend rage/spirit (finishers). If I remember correctly from the demo, the Barb seemed to gain much more energy from taking damage compared to the Monk. I'm guessing the Monk's combo moves will make up for that in addition to the fact that the Monk just doesn't get hit as often due to higher dodge.

    Alright, thank u very much!

Lets wait for a more final version of all of them and see how it goes...
But i have to say, im glad that they took away those little globes out of the barbarian, and all of the chars
use a simple globe filled with their own specific energy bases... in terms of look and feel, just keep with a more Diablo feel to it... even not being Mana... Looks great!

Just wanned to know about the new energy system on blizzcon 2010,
cause no one actually asked about it in Q&A`s panels...(not from the videos on youtube i watched)
i Saw the barbarian`s globe yellowish, so no more fury globes on fire like last blizzcon...???
also how they behaved, as it should play different from Mana, in the sense its not just a requirement to use skills anymore (as Mana was in D2)

Or they are behaving like Mana, but just with a different skin, Wizard kinda purple/cosmic, Barbarian Yellow/fire etc..
Also on the Battle Arena video, you can see, Wizard`s energy globe there, and it was full all the time, even using lots of skills (also like the first gamapley video with the barb and the WD...Using both Mana, but the globe just full or recovering fast all the time)?

    Please Enlight me here!!!

    [quote=ScyberDragon;/comments/359963]
Their intentions with artisans was not to get rid of crafting. They want you to craft and create your own items. what they didn't want is for it to be consuming of time. Here is the difference:

    creating iron...

    ...

    ...

    Iron created

    creating iron...

    ...

    ...

    Iron created

    creating iron axe

    ...

    ...

    Created iron axe

    -or-

    salvage
    salvage
    create iron axe

Both ways you are crafting but the artisan system allows you to do it with minimal stopping of action.

I also think thats what Jay W was trying to say... Also the fact that u no longer craft by your self, but instead use a npc for it, kinda imerse u in the world, makes u interact with the towns people (much like D1 did, cause every NPC was so awesome, and well made, u just felt integrated with it... think about Griswold, he was like ur body blacksmith in town, and so on... also, D2 failed giving that to players... i actually didnt even care about town NPCs in D2...)

So thats it, its about making u not spend too much time crafting and also making u interact with npcs and get imersed in the story (Jay W also said the artisans video, that while u check the artisants u might also want to check the `gossip` to know whats going on in the world, that along with the fact that blizzard said they are really pushing story telling mechanics, to make u care about every single piece of gossip and info given in play and stop skiping `talks` like u did in D2)

I personally love the idea of the WD being a frail guy who wears a big, awesome scary looking mask who has crazy powers to mess up the enemy with.

its not the mask, actually, the masks are great! but its body posture/language, and also, the gear, looks perhaps too clean, and natural, but the feel of that concept art is more like, the gear is falling apart almost, like a more
zombie related, or, blizzard should try to put some metal parts on the gear... i know it sounds strange, and might not fit at first... but thats the problem for me, they are taking too much base from actual exisiting tribal wear... trying to look too real and almost possible... and doing the opposite with the wizard for example... making the gear too over!

So, i was just checking http://diablo.incgamers.com/gallery/ , and i found on the `diablo 3 artwork - characters, some old concept arts for the Witch Doctor... like this one!

and i just realized, how awesome the WD could be if they actually stop and look back some of this old arts!
I mean, look at him, he looks so different from the now-a-days version, wich by the way, is more like an old and tired version of the one seen in the concept art!

And the same applys to the female version, also great in the arts, and the actuall model is far from being that perfect!

i've done with the javazon, on mormal and nightmare is just a joke, the problem is hell dif, when my Valkyrie had to really handle things for me most of the time! and other than that, anything that could be killed with lighning (not lighning imune) just died very fast, when it was lightning imune, i had to use those poison javs, simply hated that! and also use pure physical damage! and thats all! took a lot of time on hell dif, thats for sure!

    Quote from "vandel212" »
Anyone know if blizzard is going to be doing anything with dual monitors for Diablo III? I think it would be pretty cool if you could have on 1 screen the game and the other screen a map, your inventory, stats, skills, chat screen, a combination of them, or whatever they want. Of course it could be more work than it's worth.

would be nice...but, they really wont do it...

hard question... D1 is just fu*** perfect...

The Tavern Sign Quest is one of my favorites, cause its just gives that feeling that many things are happening around tristram while u are in the labyrinth... and also that it isnt so safe afterall!
just love that Tavern, i wish we could go in there while in gamaplay!

if it uses mana, i will start playing with it... just joking... but seriously... the WD looked really nice in ther first barbarian/wd gameplay... but if you watch the gameplay with the 4 chars together, i dare u to follow the WD in the screen, he just has no presence on the screen, the movie gives u the feeling that the WD does nothing compared specially to the Monk (guess why???) and the Wizard! his collors, almost skin colors and brown/ligh brown also his loot is just so less agressive than the others!
Blizzard keep saying that when they do a new char, with awesome spells, the just go back to the other chars, and refine them!! WELL DO IT WITH THE WD THEN!!!! cause i cant see any improvement in this char so far! and i really would like to see him as good as the others!!

posted a message on Why Blizzard almost HAS to make a uniform energy.
    Quote from "dorgeismydog" »
Everybody is going back and forth on energy sysems on the class-by-class basis they are on right now. Sure, maybe it would be a good idea, but maybe it wont?

Here is why I myself think, is the ONE MAIN REASON that in the end, Blizzard will need a uniform energy.

    Diablo III Enemies/monsters/demons/undead WHATEVER.

All the enemies for the whole time, have had "mana" as well as the characters. EVERY ENEMIE THAT CAN DO ANYTHING MAGICAL OR ANY SKILL WHATSOEVER HAS MANA. Would blizzard want a thousand energy types for all the dirrefent enemies that use magic? I dont think so.

Honestly though, there is a way to fix that. All enemies use something like "Magik", "Dark Magik" or some uniform energy for enemies, how how practical is it to use one enrgy for a thousand demons, when five heroes cant use one energy? I think this reason alone could be good grounds on making the system symetrical for all, and again

A drink, one drink for all, fill your goblet o' mana!

i can see your point... and, i have said tooo many times around that i just would like simple mana better! but, im just kida tired to talk about it and keep guessing or wishing... dont really care anymore... Blizzard could bring a globe with a cow inside that i wouldnt boder...
