Fyodr Dostoevsky and James Thomson? Oh man....that was such a class hipster move.

Maybe I should just stop trying to make jokes. You're obviously not hip enough to get them.

And I really don't understand how not reading mangas would make someone a hipster. I didn't even say it to make myself seem cool. I mean, I am cool, but I don't consider myself cool for not doing anything. Like, what kind of person would I be then?
I like how all I've got to say is- you're a hipster.
And the drama and denial follows. It's quite entertaining.

Oh did i tell you? You're a such a hipster Az.
An awesome one, that is. Not the regular kind. Like a cool cool hispter with self-fulfilling statements so cool they are above any comments.

Anyway, game time over. To save you from the torment of replying with yet another (ironic) video to compensate for your seemingly lack of linguistic skills to support your post , I will share some honest thoughts with you.

Being a hipster has nothing to do with mainstream. It's an attitude. A rather dubious one in my opinion as it involves the association of an individual's personality with a statement, hobby, music, media or art. It's about the laziest projection of personality within our society- as opposed to having achievements/accomplishment/deeds to show for it.
Mind you, these are still actual valid indicators of a person's taste and therefore a cue as to their possible compatibility with you or another group, but the key difference is the emphasis the hipster will put of these aspects as opposed to the 'normal' person. It should also be noted that most(if not all) individuals have a hipster approach to a certain part of their life or taste.
It serves as an important fulfillment of the human's desire for mystery which in turn provides an added allure to their character. When it becomes an exaggeration, you become a hipster.

You can be a hipster by saying you like listening to Justin Bieber. The difference between you and his teenage girl fans is the obscure reason you will claim behind the liking. Along the lines of you making a underlying statement of some kind (that probably nobody will understand). Of course it would actually take some rather very ingenious hipster to make this one work out but I'm sure it's not impossible.

Now to come back to your statement and drama on manga- it was a truly worthless original post you put forward. A person expressing their dislike for manga for 'x-y' reasons is far more respectful than your hipster attitude.
Why should it be anybody's business to dare to question you on that??
Simple reason- you expressed a public opinion/statement and as such it is automatically open to scrutiny and challenge.
Are you old enough to understand this?
I am doubtful but perhaps in a few years time, you might learn the value of an informed and reasoned statement or opinion.

Now that you've been schooled, you can go do your homework, son.

    I've never read a manga.
You're such a hipster. I wish i was as cool as you.

So I'm going to retort and you're going to say you were only trolling, I take it?

I didn't know that mangas were so ingrained into mainstream society. I mean, I never saw thousands of people walking around with their One Piece mangas and their Fullmetal Alchemist mangas. The only literature my friends and I read is European literature a la Fyodor Dostoevsky and James Thomson.

I mean, you've probably never heard of them since, you know, you read your little mangas and sip your Ramune like it's so fun to be ingrained in mainstream culture.

Again you've shown your utter coolness.
Fyodr Dostoevsky and James Thomson? Oh man....that was such a class hipster move.

    I am really envious now.

Guys, throw me an energy drink. One with hiptosterone.

@Vegas- I was merely challenging Bleusnaks42's proposition of free energy. His was of energy being created out of nothing(said something of a 500% return which pretty much means just that).

You are talking of harnessing wind and solar energy which is completely different. And you rightly said these are not free. You need the equipment to convert that energy into usable form and there are costs involved in the maintenance of the equipment. One of the reasons why the use of solar panels hasn't taken off despite government advertisement and incentives in many parts of the world is the poor return of the latter.
We do not yet have a (truly) effective system in place to get the maximum out of an investment into such equipment. You need the start-up cash which tends to be substantial for most average middle class family. Then you need to maintain the whole damn thing which can be as equally expensive.
And at the end, you have the weather being a dick on some days. Cloudy weather? No wind? Well can't watch the tv, use the laptop today.
So it is essentially a long term investment into a resource whose availability remains erratic and the cost effectiveness is ambiguous for most.

Now to return to free energy as was described at the start of the whole discussion- it is very much of a science fiction proposition. And i remain utterly unconvinced that countries around the world have seemingly already developed the 'technology' to access such a resource. For one it essentially means there is an infinity of said resource and this would lead to repercussions in world economy/state that will hardly go unnoticed.
I am simply being sensible here.

.Yes, mathematically you can't get more than you give in reference to free energy.

Apologies for not replying to your whole post but this single line is basically an excellent conclusion to the whole discussion.

Mathematics is the most complete and advanced language known to the human race. If this particular experiment cannot be expressed in mathematics, it's null and void and is in the domain of science fiction.

Also regarding the China and Russia part, you do realize the implications of what you are saying? So do tell me why not more countries are following in the same steps? Why their whole societies are not being run on free energy?
Or are they already and i am unaware of it?

You have to understand that in order to bring about a global alternative fuel you need investors to invest in the fuel development. You need auto companies to get behind that fuel to make the changes needed to for the car to run on it. You need fuel companies to make the changes to supply the fuel to the world. You also need government to approve the new fuel. It's quite easy for oil companies to influence all of these channels and have good ideas die before money is ever thrown into them.
I am talking about free energy and you are talking of alternative fuel.
Free energy is not just for vehicles. Its grasp is way too wide to be curtailed by one part of society that directly depends on oil for revenue.
That's why I mentioned conspiracy theory.

    Quote from Genesis

It took a huge group of collective super-geniuses many decades to eventually create stable modern nuclear power.

If there was a new energy breakthrough. It wouldn't just be one guy in his basement having an EUREKA! moment.

Any new breakthroughs would result from a large gathering of massive intellects coupled with a hefty financial backing.

Whens the last time a single person invented anything new by himself? You can't even create and test a relatively simple program without a huge team. Internet and networking technology.... NASA.... CERN and the LHC. Human Genone Project.

P.S - Pins and needles in my foot aaaarrgggghhh

The machine for free energy that was being discussed is supposedly ALREADY created.
It seems we are just being prevented from building and using it on a world-wide scale. So the invention is there but we are being controlled/prevented from using it.
    No need for breakthroughs.
So there is no need for a group of collective geniuses merely to test out the hypothesis of free energy creation.

Isn't this a most excellent reason for other countries to develop the free-energy system?

How about North Korea? The US doesn't seem to have much of an effect on them.
    Russia?
    India?
    The rest of the world?

Individuals in the rest of the world?

One dude managed to go on a 10 year holiday trip while being the most wanted man on the planet.
You are telling me the same government can actually suppress the thousands and MILLIONS of others from doing their own little science project at home?
A science project that will show free energy is just science fiction.

I won't say it's impossible. However it's so highly improbable, I can't even bring myself to take this seriously.

I may be misunderstanding you here but I thought you were implying that some corporations and companies were directly acting to stifle any progress or implementation of a free-energy system?
In the age of technology and information, you think any engineering plans for the construction of the free-energy machine can be successfully made to disappear?
That the thousands of people who have the resources and intellect to build such a system are being actively suppressed all over the world?

This is deeply illogical talk and too much of a conspiracy-theory approach for me.

    Edit: the REAL TLDR;

    I hate everybody D=

    Free energy machine?
I am too lazy to try and disprove this. I'm only wondering what's preventing people from using it if it's available/can be done, let alone governments implementing it on a world-wide basis.
Or is everybody conspiring on this one?
I mean it's not like resources were pooled in one area or controlled by one segment of society. It's (relatively) widely distributed and surely an investment into a free-energy machine will most likely turn out to be hugely profitable in the long run, making it a very desirable/sought-after commodity for...everybody.

So my question is- if it works, what is holding people back?

The way the media is treating the Breivik case is absolutely revolting.
I feel for the victims' families.

That scumbag wanted publicity and he is making the maximum out of it. Those fucking retarded media outlets ought to be fucking ashamed of themselves.

    Damn it.

The arm was a hockey injury a few years ago, it was brutal. Breaking an arm not as painful as one would think (yay adrenaline) its the the "oh we f up your cast so we need to recast it.... 3 tries later" The ankle was from drunken stupidity.
My broken bones episodes were terribly painful. Both during football.
I've never been drunk... Probably never will. Alcohol taste awfully bad, a bit like medicine. I never liked taking medicine even when they were some sweet syrup.
Maybe when I grow up, things might change...
