Im sorry, but how exactly does it free a ring slot? Both LoN and F+R require 2 ring slots.
I disagree with the other thing though. New items may outclass sets, you cant know what future builds will be. Plus the new channelling builds will be using this

Dam now I have to make a design
So the set will replace the 8 skills and as usual the follower item can unlock them all
Kormac : paladin shield + ring
Smite (stun bash) or upgraded charge
Offense aura or defense aura
Zeal or vengeance (slap a COE on him)
Conversion or Life tap (extra loh for team)
Enchantress : necromancer wand + ring
Summon skeleton warrior or archer
Revive or golem
Iron maiden or resist debuff
Poison nova or teeth (stun?)
Rogue : assassin claw (:p) + ring
Slow trap or damage trap
Summon shadow or shuriken armor
Damage hit or debuff hit
Upgraded smoke screen or throwing darts (or an insane aps increase for the assassin only)

Follower Class specific sets would be cool. So a spear & shield, staff & amulet and crossbow & ring I guess? Tbh they could even make 3pc sets of just weapon + amulet + ring or 4pc sets that give an extra bonus for not using unity. Don't ask me what the effects would be though, extra cdr? Kormac summons templar followers? Hex becomes pigs (20% damage)? Arrows can pierce/bounce?
Or an even crazier idea, set upgrades class with a new set of skills, Templars = Paladin, Enchantress = Sorcerer, Rogue = Assassin (c'mon the d2 fans would go spastic for it)

I am proof. Monk clocked gr66 with BP in cube

I'm just curious if there is any idea of when we will be able to use the DFans Build creator on smartphones. Some of us don't have pc's and doing it on my console is quite tedious.

Fair enough if they want to do some product placement, I don't mind at all, but please give us an option to turn off Clickers and Bloaters on the PS4. They are ridiculously strong and definately shouldn't be in hardcore. They can literally kill you in seconds regardless of how fast you move out of the way. On TX they shouldn't be able to insta-kill my monk that can solo GR60+. And I'm not joking I quit the game every time my HC wizard sees them in a rift, because I know I'm going to die

I want to start a discussion about Broken Promises ring. This legendary has the potential to be a fantastic asset to any build that can utilize it properly but it is very f***ing hard to do so.
The 100% crit chance is a devastating ability that can add a massive damage boost but if not used well it does nothing but leave you with a build that doesn't crit.
Let's not forget that taking CHC out of all your slots let's you add anything you want, LOH on a helmet? Sure. 1000 mainstat on an amulet? I don't see why not. 15% Familiar damage on a source?... Um no Wtf?
My hope is to get some facts together so that everyone can best know how to make use of this bad boy. Now I am by know means a math expert that can tell you "the % of uptime compared to (insert other item here) = mc2 divided by potato" and all that mumbo jumbo. But I can use a skill and check my stats, which I think makes me qualified.
I've done a small bit of testing mostly with Monk and Wizard, and some failed attempts with other classes that I won't even mention.
Monk :
Sweeping Wind - If you activate this it can easily set of BP, the problem arises when you actually start hitting things yourself since a lot of the Monk's skills have aoe. I've managed to clear a GR66 using SW and Deadly Reach (that tight aoe helps... sort of) on a Fire Generator variant
Deadly Reach - When it comes to generators this seems to be your best bet. It's still problematic when mobs are lined up but in crowds it will activate more than WotHF or the spinny circle dance, though it is still underwhelming in this 10 second-long no proc scenarios.
SSS - I probably don't need to mention one of the top-tier monk builds so I'll just say that yeah, it works with Uliana.
Wizard :
Meteor Shower - With a bit of luck this attack can proc BP after 1 use in a crowd, granted it doesn't always happen, but it can happen, which throws the "have to ATTACK 5 times" theory out the window... sort of, not really though.
Blizzard - Contrary to popular belief, Blizzard can proc BP, and by that I don't mean that the developers can leave you with promises broken... which they can. Though it doesn't always do so, which makes me think that those "white crits" still reset the counter.
Disintegrate - Wow, even in a crowd this skills procs BP like crazy. I don't know why, but it does, even with Chaos Nexus rune. You could make a build around this post 2.4 imo. At the moment if it's not included in a set bonus it's probably not worth it
Ray of Frost:Sleet Storm - Yeah another confusing one but even in a crowd the uptime is more than expected, I guess it's another case of "wait til 2.4"
Delsere 2pc Slow Time - It is a 3/4 uptime for BP, it can't crit and it activates it immediately, and takes 1 second between each damage tick to reactivate. If I was going to make a BP build this would probably be included.
Honorable Mention goes to Hydra. Who can't activate BP but can snapshot the ability. So pretty much drop it when you see yellow and you've got a 100chc Hydra, wooh!
Another mention goes to Fire Walkers, which can give you almost permanent uptime, which goes away once you start hitting things with your clumsy aoe attacks.
That's probably it for the moment. I'd like to do some testing with other classes and I'll keep this post updated if I happen to discover a build that works with BP that isn't Uliana.
But I would like input from anyone interested in BP, this ring needs some proper research done, and honestly we need to figure out how to abuse the f*** out of it, just don't tell anyone or Bliz might nerf it... again.

Well it's still a good combo. Procs Bp like crazy

I've found that some items can proc procs.
Prime example, Fire Walkers proc Broken Promises

How much procs could a procs proc proc if a procs proc could proc procs?
This game needs an in depth guide. Or they need to remove proc coefficients altogether. I swear some procs can actually proc procs. It's so confusing

And procs don't proc procs so this proc shouldn't proc the procs proc.

Because everyone copies the same build. I too run blizzard, I know when I'm ready to enter archon because my mana empties at 20 stacks (can't see it on console)
I guess the damage is a factor, but I believe most Vyr's builds also use Lightning not Cold as their highest element.
Don't ask me why, if want my opinion they're all noobs. Unless the bolts from AT can also proc Zodiac I don't see it

4 Vyr's Boots, 3 Firebird Boots (1 ancient), 3 Mud Boots, 3 Disregard Boots, 1 Lut Socks (wtf) and finally, Ancient Nilfur's Boast. Guess it was worth it in the end

Let blizzard stack! That would be nice. But yeah i know of the uselessness of cc now. Though i guess it was necessary or else the support classes permastun would be op. Still so many items/skills were affected. I agree that rimeheart should work on chill
