I see that you think I'm a supporter of this theory ^^ I'm not. But you said "Nothings going to be "Dark"", which is just plain wrong. We already have a dark class, it is just not dark enough for many.
I think me and you disagree on what constitutes as "Dark".
The Shaman isn't something I'd consider as "Dark", now the Necromancer was dark, but I don't think the shaman is dark at all, just a shaman using shamanistic powers.
The damage type of the class has absolutely zero to do with the theme. The Necromancer was pretty dark, the WD is pretty dark. Demonic and dark is not the same thing.

You have to think like Blizzard.
They want to fill every typical role that is possible in a RPG game. And as I said before the only role is a Ranged Physical DPS class.
You also got to look at the storyline and the classes we have so far. The Barbarian is just a big guy/girl that wants to slay some demons. The Wizard is a guy/girl that is a student of the arcane arts and is fighting against the forces of evil. The Witch Doctor is technically just a shaman who is fighting against the forces of evil with his shamanistic powers. The Monk is a Eastern European Monk with a Shaolin fighting style that is fighting against the forces of evil with his kung fu and staff.
There is one common denominator in all of these heroes, absolutely no demonic influence or "Evil" about them. These heroes are entirely neutral and there is nothing really dark about them, maybe a little weird or taboo, but definitely not dark.
How absolutely fucking random would it be, if the last class was "OMG DREAD ARCHER" who is just this super dark badass who is just such a badass that he/she has now decided to fight against the Demons for some random reason. Blizzard has made some questionable storyline choices but nothing close to that kind of garbage.
What else is left out of the spectrum of RPG gaming? Oh yeah, that's right, physical ranged DPS
It's coming, so for all of those doubters out there all I have to say is get used to the idea of not playing your heavily desired evil class and get ready for the return of the Zon.

You will never see any "rogue demon" or "dread knight" class in this game, Period. This game is about killing baddies as a hero not playing the "bad misunderstood demon spawn". If you want that kind of game I suggest you look elsewhere.
You have to look at we got right now in terms of the classes.
Barbarian - Tank
Monk - Melee (with a bit of magic) DPS
Witch Doctor - Crowd Control/Magic DPS
Wizard - Magical Face Melting DPS
Now for the 5th Class you have really only one option, Physical Ranged DPS.
You can fight it all you want but that's just how its gonna go. And from there you got the distinct possibility of the Amazon coming back or maybe even something as weird as a black powder user.
Nothings going to be "Dark" or "Demonic" get over yourselves and realize that in order to have a demon slaying game, you can't play as a demonically aligned character.
