Demon's howls echoed throughout the land and the good people cowered and prayed for a mighty warrior to save them. Blood and filth had become a normality in this time of evil and there was nothing or no one to rectify this...until one day the very ground beneath our feet began to shake and tremble with a ferocity I had never felt before and I peered around to see what could be happening and thats when I saw him. From the horizon, a man so giant I thought he to be a demon himself, came crashing down from the sky it seemed. With his mighty blade he smashed the ground with thunder and I could feel his strength gorging into the earth. Demon's began to swarm this elite man and I thought he was done for when my eyes could longer contain all the hellions. As I held my family close for the end he came whirling through the cloud of demons, like an unstoppable force and I couldn't believe it. Every blow caused a storm of blood, it felt like it was raining and it didn't stop, not until they were all gone. The demons were slaughtered, but this giant wasn't done with them yet, you could smell the hatred for the demons coming off him it was so powerful. Before I could praise our savior, he started charging east and was gone as quickly as he came to our rescue, off to lift this darkness among us all, to save Sanctuary. - The Barbarian:barb:(my first char for D3, duh)

Welcome newcomer! I urge you to play Diablo and Diablo 2, the story is awesome, the gameplay is awesome, and there is nothing else like it. I promise that you will not be let down by such a great series.

Great post, Seth. I used the cube for all the reasons that have been stated and found it very useful as most did. For Diablo 3, I hope that the crafting system will create an endless amount of possibilities for new items and also to be a great tool to better your questing, to assist in overcoming whatever is blocking your battle path(dealing with immunities and whatnot.) I think it would be a lot of fun if there were pieces of ore, or some material, that were scattered throughout Sanctuary that were rare for some of the higher quality ones and others not so much and you gathered them and crafted special armour or weaponry. I find this to be a rather rewarding system and should only be able to be crafted at higher levels. And with that last sentence being said, I wonder if there will be a "crafting level" system, where the more you craft you become better at it and can create more powerful items, or if there is some skill you train for it.

Hmm dunno if it would be possible for players to do that, probably just monsters. But then again the barbarian did jump up an entire staircase towards the beginning of the gameplay video on Diablo3.com.

Mercenary is an awesome name for a class, I have a level 74 Artrell Mercenary in a MUD called Merentha I sometimes play and he wtfpwns everything. Best fighter class in Merentha too. But not that that has anything to do with Diablo. I would totally play this dude.

Yall should check out Dead Space. It is SCARY and I love it when games scare me because I get that much more into it, and if you're the same way then this is def a good pick for you. It has a good story to it also.

Yeah.....Sacred 2 BLOWS!!!!!! I can't believe I wasted money on this crap of a game. I'm taking it back tomorrow and trading for another game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just went and bought Sacred 2 at Game Stop and the guy there said it was like Diablo so I'm giving it some high hopes...I'll let you know if its good or not in abour an hour or so.
