Mar 3, 2009Murderface posted a message on Tell Blizzard Your #1 Diablo II Patch Note.Adria appears in act 4 after some type of cubing. She gives you a few quests and finally you figure out in the last quest that she is actually Lilith and the quests you have done for her have made her immeasurably strong, the final quest involves killing Lilith or something that leads into D3. *crosses fingers* I would like to see it involve the standard of heroes as well.Posted in: News

Feb 28, 2009Murderface posted a message on Mobs that looks slightly different by BashiokIf they did it for one enemy they they would have to do it for many others as well. It's really a matter of putting aspects of the game in order of importance and dishing out the work hours accordingly. Randomized limbs would be cool but a new death animation would be cooler. You know, shit like that. Because when people notice the death animation they'll remember it and if they eventually notice that the monsters vary a little bit they probably wont.Posted in: News

Did you copy the stuff from Diablo Wiki onto our version? Seem's like we could save some time doing that. o.O
Not trying to be mean, I really think that we'd save time copying the Diablo Wiki's info into our wiki. Is that possible?
It is possible, just very lazy. Anyway, I'll definitely be contributing with the sin wars being fresh in my mind. -
Jan 11, 2009Murderface posted a message on Bashiok On Diablo 3 Stat Points. My preference is in the order you stated them. I would imagine it is that way for most (and would be an excellent poll in my opinion *nudges ferret*). I believe there will be a way to readily change your stats, whether it be items or stats or something we have yet to see. So stats will still be an aspect of customization, but through other means.Posted in: News

Jan 10, 2009Murderface posted a message on Bashiok On Diablo 3 Stat Points.I have always found stat allocation to be the driest form of customization. It will hardly make or break the game either way. I cant imagine anyone being captivated by the stats menu, it's incomprehensible. It's such a mundane system. It will no doubt be improved upon.Posted in: News

I have no proof that the game will be balanced just like you have no proof that the stat system will be inferior, there are many unseen factors that will play a part in character development, you cant just label this system bad until you have all the facts, which at this point no one but the devs have. The point is that the devs put way more thought into this than you ever could and therefore are more capable of making an informed descision than you. Plus they have betas to help balance everything out as fingolfin plainly stated. Its more likely that I'm right and you are wrong.Quote from "Doppelganger" »Wrong, lets put it like this. If your argument revolves around how poorly balanced stats were, then by all means making them automatic and just as unbalanced (there isn't any reason pointing towards them being balanced now, is there?) is the absolutely worst idea imaginable. Thus, either you drop your non-argument about how unbalanced stats were, or you discuss the issue at hand. (namely the pros and cons of auto-stats as a system)

What better way to balance stats than to make them automatic:P The problem is that you have nothing to complain about yet since you haven't seen the system they will replace it with.Quote from "Doppelganger" »You are just referencing poor stat balances in the previous game which proves nothing and in fact isn't even relevant to the discussion.
Poor stat balances aren't relevant to the subject? O.O

It's not in the least bit wrong in any way. Let me explain. He is pretty much saying that the job that stat points played has been taken over by another facet of the game. The problem in having both this and customizable stats is that the latter would water down the impact it makes on gameplay. Auto stats define the character classes, such definition was lacking in D2 because everyone poured their stats pretty much the same. This definition will let the classes play to their strengths in multiplayer.Quote from "Doppelganger" »First about the oblivionesque leveling idea, i can confidently say "worst idea evah" without feeling the need to explain myself.
But anyways.
Pretty much explained it.
And finally.
This statement is simply wrong, completely. Having customizable stats in no way impeded on "customization through other means", in fact it made it (and currently could make it) more interesting and meaningful (customization through other means is bland if you only have to take "the other means" into consideration). -

Me neither, but it may hone their skills. I'm not really complaining about anything, I'm just bored, sort of.Quote from "Equinox" »I don't think our mods require such a test.

Dec 29, 2008Murderface posted a message on Revised Rules & New Signature LimitI think if the mod can tell that the conversation will soon turn to a mindless clusterfuck said mod should take it upon themselves to head it off at the pass. This relies on the perceptive prowess of the mods however. I believe that is doppels concern. Perhaps a mod qualification test, in which they are given a series of actions to choose from. Maybe 20 or so instances. Just a thought.Posted in: News

They are making fun of the people that overreacted and exaggerated like you just did. Obviously there is humor in this since the vote seems to be overwhelmingly one sided. Unless you think your sense of humor is superior to ours.Quote from "mahamoti" »And that is totally fine, because you're a player. You're not expected to know. But you don't know what you're missing
I'm all for jokes, but there is no humor in this. It's like...the US attacks some country, and they say, hey please stop attacking us, and the US laughs and the president starts wearing a T-shirt that says, "Nuke the bastards!" A little more serious because it involves peoples lives but thats the same basic thing: people ask for a change, and the company laughs it off and makes a T-shirt saying they don't care. Where is the joke in that? That's just being an ass.
How about a new Tshirt, "Diablo 3: Made For Blizzard Employees, By Blizzard Employees." - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Hellsing
Ergo Proxy
Wolf's Rain
Witch Hunter Robin
Those are some of my favs.
About a year or two ago I started watching the Naruto and Bleach subs, but recently I gave up on Bleach after this last round of deplorable filler. Maybe I should go back. Not sure.
Cowboy Bebop is the only anime I can watch in english anymore. I have to admit though, the Japanese Dragon Ball Z is hardly watchable, however Dragonball was fucking awesome in its original version, so much was cut out in the english version, and it's ok that he sounds like a squealing little girl because he's a kid.

Just wanted to inject some of my conspiracy riddled nonsense into this conversation.
I've been following this news for some time now, and have amassed some considerable data on Osama Bin Laden which I think you will find interesting.
Osama was taken to a military hospital in Dubai by the CIA in July of 2001 while he was on the FBI most wanted list for the previous trade center attack. He was treated for chronic kidney infection. As reported by the French daily Le Figaro
One of Osama's doctors said that he had Marfans syndrome which is a disease that causes weakening of vital structures in the body but declined to comment further.
It is extremely unlikely that Osama could have lasted more than a few years with these combined conditions without aid of a dialysis machine (which was not found at the compound)
Ex-CIA agent of 20 years Steve Pechinik came out in 2002 saying that Osama was dead and that they literally had him on ice for a time when they needed a political victory.
Madeline Albright, former speaker of the house stated in 2004 that that Osama was Dead and that Bush was likely to roll out news of Osama Bin Ladens death in support of his 2004 campaign.
After the alleged killing of Osama, Steve Pechinik came out saying that he would testify before a grand jury to his claim.
Even if you don't buy any of that, dont you think it just a little bit strange that there is absolutely no evidence available to the public that would prove Osama's death? They gave him a burial at sea according to "Muslim beliefs" (which isn't actually true, you are supposed to be buried facing Mecca.)So there is no body, and no evidence other than testimonials that have been supplied to the public. Pics or it didn't happen imo.
All the conspiracies aside, who do you think really won this war? Our economy is in shambles, 12000+ innocent Afghani civilians lie dead, our reputation is ruined, and what do we have to show for it? The dead body of a tall terroris... oh wait, we threw away the body?!?
Oh yea and this made me laugh
