So, basically Diablo III is becoming WoW? Better than what I had thought, but honestly that isn't how I hoped the game would be.

Well, I haven't posted in here since about a year ago, but this sort of scared me. Please excuse me if this has been debated before, as I haven't been posting.

Okay to start this off, I'm going to give you some crude directions to show a proper quote off the US.Blizzard.com/Diablo3/ website.

If you go to http://us.blizzard.com/diablo3/world/systems/runestones.xml, the section of the D3 site about runestones, and observe the captioned picture it says, and I quote, "You’ll be able to place a runestone in each of your seven skills by opening the Skills screen. A rune’s specific effect on a skill is explained through a tooltip."! It blatantly says EACH of your SEVEN skills. Does this mean we're only getting seven skills per character, instead of the three skill trees of Diablo II? If so this is a deal-breaker to me, without skill trees Diablo won't be the same.

Oh, and before you bring up Diablo I saying it was fine without skill trees, think about it. We played/still play Diablo II because of the various builds you can have of each character. In Diablo I, I simply made one epic character who could max every skill and trade for all the stat-boosting potions and be done with it. Diablo II I still play, but if Diablo III only has seven skills per character, I'd be lucky to get a few months of entertainment out of it.

Tell me what you think, or rather if you believe this is even the case. That quote could simply mean you choose seven skills out of the tree to use or something like the sorts, but even if that is the case it won't be the same.

I've semi-recently started playing D2, again. The problem is I can't seem to get a wealth started as I barely can run countess. Could somebody give me a few runes to start me up? I understand random beggers are annoying, but please...

I'd stay away from adaptive. It can be seen as a lack of self-confidence.

I find the word "motivated" to be a great word with no negative implications.
Good one, seems a little common, but still quite descriptive, yet broad. Very helpful, and now that I look at it, adaptive is kind of a neutral word while motivated is farther positive.

Who said the word should be an adjective? You might also want to consider something like duck or shoe.

I can understand coming here asking for assistance and opinions on a topic that everyone can participate and serve as a "catalyst" for your essay. However, your asking us... who have no knowledge of you or anything about you to help you pick a word that would describe you at best, as well as all of your characteristics and personality..ect.

Seems silly to me eh? aka the sarcasm above me :)

but with that aside, a good structure possibly would be (using myself as an example). The word I would use is probably "curious", "compassionate", "competitive", "free-willed"... I suppose it depends on the context I was wanting to establish. For a scholarship... curious... intelligent, there are so many words that could describe you, pick one and elaborate.

For the pin pal, easy... start jotting something down as if you were on a messenger typing to someone that knows nothing of you and try to describe yourself and give experiences in your life that reflect that and support it... seems pretty easy if you put some thought into it.
I was looking for a bragging word, without sounding like a douchebag. Basiclly anything can describe anyone, I think. I just needed good ideas... I understand what you mean though.

I'm attempting to get a scholarship (I guess you could call it that) to a private "Day School", and one requirement was, in fact an essay. I would like to ask you guys for some help, not too much, just sort of suggestions.

First of all I need to describe myself in one word. I could elaborate well, but I still need a word in itself. I'm not sure what exactly they would expect from me, but I don't want to just say "hard-working", or "smart". I'm open to suggestions, but I believe adaptable was a good describing word, and gave a positive outlook on myself. Please suggest, or tell me points I should make sure to hit.

Secondly, I have to imagine having a pen-pal in France, and I want to describe myself to them. I find this quite simple, but I want to make sure there aren't any points I might miss.

All help is appreciated, and I thank you for the suggestions.

I don't know if this is answered anywhere, but I'm wondering if D3 will have random map generating. If you don't know what I mean, then basiclly when you played online and maps were always different, that's what I'm talking about.

Honestly, the only thing making me believe this, is "SC2 Phoenix"... Why would someone faking this put in something unheard of? Maybe the creator of this is a pyschology genius, but I'm believing it for now.

Ehh I don't like TreyArch, I disliked CoD3 and loathed WaW and probably won't get Black Ops. I will mourn for the loss of Infinity Ward and the loss of Modern Warfare 3.
Well, as I am a majorly Infinity Ward, CoD player, I will tell you how it is. It seems like they will make a nice game, just look at it they're stealing all the ideas from Infinity Ward, it can't be that bad XD.

Call of Duty 3 was absolutely terrible and I'm still lamenting the fact that I even rented it. I don't know how they failed after such an awesome CoD2. Ah well, they made up for it at least and I agree with you on everything.

Well they failed cuz Treyarch made that one. Infinity Ward makes the real CoDs (1,2,4,6), and Treyarch makes the shitty ones/the knockoffs (3,5). CoD 3, as you said, was shit, and 5 was just MW1 set in WW2. So hopefully they make a good one with CoD 7, seeing as Infinity Ward isn't making games with Activision anymore, so the CoD franchise could die if Treyarch doesn't do well.

Yeah, but now you gotta think on TreyArch's side, they did make the engine for MW2, and they listen to the community ALOT more now. 3, yes was awful, but 5 was decent, and they listened to the community even after release, lets hope the pattern stays, and CoD 7 is as amazing as we hope.
So far it seems they are stopping alot of things that were dumb in MW2... (E.g. Overpowered quickscopers, overpowered newbtubes, the one overpowered SMG that seems to always make its way into CoD games...)

    Quote from AnathemicOne

In progress of writing my own stories I was wondering what books/book series you guys like and/or are your favorite. What is it/are they and do they inspire you in some way? Or does it/do they provide simply a source of entertainment? Express your opinions here.

My all time favorite is the Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, I am ashamed that I have watched the film trilogy before reading the novel(s), but so far Tolkien's fantasy has captured my imagination and enabled me to think deeply about life, philosophy.

I couldn't really say a favorite, but since we're all nerds here, I will choose my favorite science fiction story... Snow Crash is a greaet sci-fi story, I would highly reccomend checking it out if you're into computers, tech, etc.
