Nothing really new... if you bought the hype like most did for it's legitimate look... only thing confirmed is Titan is the "nickname as of now" for the MMO, which in turns brings no new information. ... still say it's gonna be a sci-fi FPS-MMORPG, which makes me drool if done right by blizz

posted a message on Religion Vs. Science
Well first off, a great video that was posted on one of these forums that basically was perfect for me was http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEyqT2_ricA

It's a nice medium with today's science and technological observations mixed in with passed religious beliefs. If your bored or curious id suggest watching all of them with an open mind of course. If your not open then I wouldn't bother :)

I grew up like most kids in this generation it seems leaning towards science because that is what we could understand because there was an explanation and/or theory to go off of. I always kept an open mind and even attended church, my family didn't but I proclaimed myself christian... as I grew up I stopped going kinda got more into school and therefore, all the bibal talk and stories became gray to me... I still believed that there was something greater out there as a higher entity but didn't quite go into it thinking angels and all these things were actually real documented stuff...

I grew up with a very open mind and outlook on life, I loved to read and learn new things, my curiousness drove me to learn as much as I could. I stumbled upon that video and just started watching/reading/learning/thinking about all sorts of things. Do I believe 100% of what I read absolutely not, the media taught me that quick lesson... but thats another story. As it stands now, I am in a nice medium in between..which completely makes this poll silly..and your argument of you are all or nothing...

I read up on the old stories, myths, legends what have you of the religions of the passed, and apply todays knowledge/science technology to what they might of experienced... there's all sort of advancements in physics and laws that were simply not known by the earlier people. For example, "random town in old times see's a ET/alien or whatever and it's ship is flying accross the sky... the people literally have no way of explaining it.. so they use their only way of explaining it.. it must be a god or angel and the ship must be a chariot ..but how is a chariot flying well it must be being pulled by flying horses..." something of that nature.... just food for thought ... depending on your views you could completely say omfg aliens come on,... well they are saying that there are over a 100 million planets with an atmosphere that can support life in our galaxy alone... and our galaxy is merely a spec in the infinite universe.

I can understand coming here asking for assistance and opinions on a topic that everyone can participate and serve as a "catalyst" for your essay. However, your asking us... who have no knowledge of you or anything about you to help you pick a word that would describe you at best, as well as all of your characteristics and personality..ect.

Seems silly to me eh? aka the sarcasm above me :)

but with that aside, a good structure possibly would be (using myself as an example). The word I would use is probably "curious", "compassionate", "competitive", "free-willed"... I suppose it depends on the context I was wanting to establish. For a scholarship... curious... intelligent, there are so many words that could describe you, pick one and elaborate.

For the pin pal, easy... start jotting something down as if you were on a messenger typing to someone that knows nothing of you and try to describe yourself and give experiences in your life that reflect that and support it... seems pretty easy if you put some thought into it.

posted a message on Prophecies and Science of a Golden Age
Heh, just woke up, tried to go and talk about it to my girlfriend, and well it all depends on your view on things and how open minded you are... She's a little stubborn and when I actually said all these things it was as if I was lightly slapping her in the face as I said it all hahaha, her retort was basically, well anyone can get on there these days and just say "well according to dr. wolf in 1934, he did a study on apes and found out they can fly" and ppl will believe it, she's one that says I need to see it to actually understand and believe it.

So it all depends, some could watch it and actually get steamed up and offended... I however am very curious and even if it wasn't all accurate, it's still stuff that I want to know. Back then people didn't have all their facts straight, they only had theories which were partly true but were later discovered, I feel like this is that kind of thing... it's the beginning of a new way of thinking eventually.

posted a message on Prophecies and Science of a Golden Age
So I couldn't sleep and I saw this around 2ish am....well for one I have recently been reading up on all sorts of topics ranging from the new world order and conspiracy theories, and with an interest in the coming 2012 I decided to watch it with an open mind.

Let me start with I watched all four of them and even continued and watch some other of his videos as well as checked out his website. I have to say that it's astonishingly intriguing with a mix of so much information that one can be easily overwhelmed, but I got a firm grasp on it all and retained a great deal of the information. It's now 9am and I am still up haha. I am getting tired but I just wanted to post before I go to bed while the information is still hot. I have always believed in a "higher" entity but also remained not so religious.... I always preferred facts and scientific stats over beliefs, I love how David is basically the medium of the two and ties in both.

I feel like my open mind and my train of thought to always question everything and my constant curiosity to always keep learning new things allowed me to really soak this up. I am not saying this is true and that you should believe in it, however to discredit and throw it aside would be in my opinion, narrow minded and fullish. Some of the hard facts that he throws out are just amazing, I found the part where experiments on the duck and chicken, as well as the lizard and frog were just amazing. The possibilities are just idk insane to think about but yet amazing. The first thing I thought of was playing spore hahaha, if you have played the game and watched the full videos then you should see where I am getting at.

I liked how things like ley lines and the magnetic fields/energy as well as the 12 spots including the infamous bermuda triangle were explained into detail, as well as crop circles. All the things that are "mysterious" by nature all kind of seem to come together into one huge tip of the iceberg theory.

I probably could go on and on with all sorts of things, best bet is if your curious or just simply bored is to watch them with an open mind and to think "this way or that way isn't the absolute right way"

It's almost too hard to believe, but yet there's so many things out there in front of us, that basically this man and others are trying to piece together and explain.

I was reading stuff from his sight and ventured onto a nice piece on this tv series called "The Event".. just watched the first episode and will finish watching them.

I see what you mean, needs to be more gradual and not so harsh, the right leg more so as if it's a science picture of muscle underneath the skin just brown and black not red.

The main reason it's mainly a darker scheme was I was trying to follow the diablo theme of being darker, the skin is almost as if he was black or darker skinned, I didn't want to go with a light skin as it would cause to much of a mesh between the light bone. What you see on the thighs is highlights basically outlining muscle. Throw all your feedback at it, as I can progress further in the digital art medium.

Also I'm still very newb on converting my finish product into anything else with the same quality, I can't seem to find a good read on tutorials on how to do that, so honestly you have to zoom in more to see that there's actually a leather covering part of his leg, basically his arms, half his chest and abs/thighs are the only skin you see. and part of his shoulder behind the tusks that come across.

Just finished a piece of fan art for D3 of a Barb that I personally would like to look like. I have been self teaching myself photoshop for some time now, and after trying to learn all sorts of techniques, I have finally figured out a technique I can use that fits my actual pencil techniques the best. Lately I have been trying to learn the most I can by seeing "Mr. Jack" as an inspiration, from seeing his first "digital artwork" I have hope that I can do something with this hopefully.

Let me know what you think, keep in mind this is like my 5th or so attempt at a piece that actually looks decent. This being my favorite so far as I keep getting better as I go with experience with all things.

Took me around 80-100 hours/ish. I lose track of time when I spend endless nights till the sun comes up haha.I plan on doing one for each class, and I might go back into it and add effects to it like say a fire enchanted axe, or some smoke/glows from the skulls and what not, you know the things we love :)
