Apologies for double posting as well but perhaps we should get this RP off the ground. People are going to start to lose interest if we stall too long.

Hopefully we will get some more interest as the game continues.
    Irrational, what do you think?

But remember that they're combined power must combine to the power of one person.

    I will.

Ok. So their combined powers are thus:

    Deadly focus.

    Medicine.

    Barrier Block.

I'm also going to merge the two posts together to make one character sheet for our convienence. Don't worry about the lore. I have it all written down.

Well we need Magistrate and Azriel to make their characters then we'll start.

Alright, well here is how how combined characters work. You can any combination of individual powers and combined powers. Yet each individual has to correspond to a combined attack, so each individual power has to be combined with the others attack. So if my individual attack is to throw daggers, the others power could be to light the dagger on fire, and his individual power could be fire.

That works. I'll rewrite their powers to coincide with this rule.

    Hah. I see.
I shall take that into account when i play.

Edit; I actually thought of a neat concept for a character duo. I'm going to change my character. Don't worry. Jade is still around.

I suppose I should ask in case you've made plans with the characters. Mind if I swap?

I say pick the one you think you can RP well and take into account character growth and social skills. I still like the first one though.

However, if the robot is a steam powered one, then the situation changes. :P

Name: Doctor Jade Senn And Martin Velafore

    Sex: Female and Male

    Race: Human. (Mostly)

    Picture: Working on it. :P

    Background Story:

As with all who start their life in the slums of Rakkan City, Jade Senn hasn't had it easy. One must steal to survive, Poach to feed, Barter the shirt off your back to buy another. It's a wonder then how a gutter rat like Jade grew up to become one of the city's most influential medical minds, although she'll never admit it.
The slums of Rakkan were a forlorn place; The upper city ring was built on the remains of the old city as it sank into the mire that was Rakkan Lake. The air was so polluted with the magical smog of industry that water fouled as it went from cup to mouth. Any creature living remotely close to the oil and mana-slicked lake of Rakkan had to wear protection, and even then illness and disease were commonplace.
It was in this hole that Jade flourished. The experience and drive acquired from just surviving on the edges of the city brought along the skills necessary to doctor the sick and wounded. When she was 14, she had already opened an unofficial practice in the slums. At age 16, she entered the royal medical academy. She completed her internship at age 24.
At age 26 she discovered the Ravager Disease. A malignant tumor that grows on the dead bodies of humanoids, the Ravager disease reanimates the dead through unholy necromancy and slowly consumes the corpse, while commanding it to kill and gather more bodies. What was even more terrifying is should the Ravager disease infect a living creature, the tumor grows at an exponential rate, literally eating the creature alive while it watches.
The death toll reached cataclysmic amounts before magic and medicine halted it's progress. The disease still killed hundreds every month, but the tumors could be found and excised before their malignancy became fatal.
Many long nights were spent within the medical board's chambers arguing over what should be done about the Ravager Disease. Council records do not contain what went on behind those closed doors, but it is reported that halfway through the meeting, Senior surgeon Jade left without a word, and exited the city.

Martin was born into the Monks of balance through the childhood right of passage. In simple terms, he was born from an unwitting mother and left on the monk's doorstep. Not the best childhood, but at least he got one.
Growing up in the monestary of Grim Bar Sil was a trying time. The monks believed in balance in all things, and a lifestyle was no exception. Suffice to say, Martin frequently lost his patience with his teachers, argued over his lessons and fought with the other students.
What compounded the problem is that Martin was Gifted with a capital G. The answers to complex spacial harmonic frequency equations flowed smoothly from his brain. He answered questions correctly and fully, yet for some unexplained reason the answers arrive in the minds of the questioner hours after they ask. it's as if he isn't all... there.

His last action before leaving was stealing a broom from a closet and flipping off the head monk. The monks thought him leaving was insanity. Why would someone who fit the practice like a hand in a glove leave?

Martin knows exactly why he left. He couldn't take it anymore. He was bored.

The two met up on a boat headed out of Elcamadder, and have been partners ever since.

    Personality:

Jade has a kindly nature and a sarcastic sense of humor. She's kind and gentle to her patients and anybody she considers a friend, willfully sharing her expertise sometimes for free. In battle she is cool, calm and collected. No matter who she fights, she always fights dirty but never ever takes a life.
But she angers easily. Especially over mustard.
Secretly, she loves cooking, iced fruit and despises narcissistic people and mustard.

Martin's got an arrogant streak. He tries to get along with strangers but his mouth runs off occasionally. For the most part he's calm and objective, with a soft spot for children. During battle he does fly off the handle occasionally.
he will never tell, but he's got a crush on Jade, hence their current partnership.
He likes bbq eel, hates cold food and sleeps with his barrier block up.

    Physical Traits:

Jade has short cut mud brown hair and brown eyes, a slender physique and small hands and feet. Her usual attire consists of a black jumpsuit, modified doctor's coat with many hidden pockets and briefcase.
Despite her best efforts, Jade hasn't grown past 5 foot 8.

Martin's got a slightly stocky build, black hair and brown eyes. His hair is always messy. No matter how much he tries it always goes back to it's ground state, which is messy.
The robes he wears were long and flowing, but he tied the legs tightly and cut the back in two to create a flowing cape. He wears gloves with the fingers cut off, thick fur lined boots and a hood.

    Weapons:

    Jade:
    Main Weapon: Modified holdout scalpel.
    Secondary weapon: Throwing knives

    Martin:
    Main Weapon: Engraved Staff.
    Secondary: Throwing Knives.

    Powers:

    Deadly Focus:
Years of unwanted survival training as a child and the tutoring of the medical community as a surgeon has given Jade the ability to focus her mind and body on a singular task, be it surgery or combat. As a result, her actions quicken, her dexterity improves and her reflexes go into overdrive. In a sense, her physical and mental abilities are raised by several notches.

    Medicine:
Doctoring came easy to Jade. Provided she has the right materials, any wound can be stitched back together, any disease can be halted. Of course, she can't immediately cure diseases she hasn't heard of or bring a person back to life (Without jumper cables, :P) but can she perform open heart surgery with household tools? Yes she can!

    Barrier Block:
The monks of balance utilize an ability known as the barrier block. They create a hollow glass-like structure seemingly out of mid air. The barrier block is not affected by gravity, nor is it affected by mundane force acting on it. (It remains in place. A strong force can push it or even shatter it.)
Martin can determine the size, position and dimensions of the block. The strength of the barrier is determined by the size of the block and the will of the balance monk behind it.

    Reason for Joining Underground Alliance:

While her motives for joining the alliance seem superficial, stating that "There are some things you have to do to get your way" and leaving it at that belies a deeper motive underneath. Jade is searching for something, something not easily found and perhaps... Perhaps this alliance could lead her to it.

Martin's biggest reason for joining the Underground Alliance is Jade did. Apart from that, he wants to get away from the balance monks as fast as he can.

    Text Color:

This will be Jade`s dialog colour.

This will be Martin`s dialog colour.

    Ack-Something? :P

I am mortally offended, dear sir.

Well, I'll forgive you if you find one more person.
I will also forgive you if my character can start this RP face down in a bowl of shrimp soup.

Deelish. Haven't done an RP like that in a looong time.
I'm interested. Looking forward to it.

    EDIT:
Actually I do have one major concern. What is your policy on plot stagnation and villain characters? How do you resolve an endless clash between PC and villain, or more importantly someone who steps in, declares themselves the villain character and attacks the non-villain PCs?

Also, should the plot begin to run dry how would you bring things back up to speed?
