I've never done challenge rifts before - is there any downside to starting a CR on non-season just to see what the build/layout/whatever is, and then just leave the rift without completing it?

I think as long as you don't finish it in time and thus earn the cache, you're good.

    Yes, 10 it is.

I'll use 5 to cube some bracers for my barb :barb: and 1 for leveling up the blacksmith to craft a level 70 weapon with reduced level requirements

    Thanks for great tips.
How can you tell if you can get a legendary from gambling at lvl 1? In the pocket guide, Hellcat waist for DH is listed as available, but when I look it up, it says from lvl 14 - https://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/hellcat-waistguard-P43_Unique_Belt_005_x1

Also, any other ideas what to gamble for as a DH? Some quivers perhaps?
And another thing - is doing CR still reasonable when leveling via the traps in HoA?

Check out the post by fst
he posted a level 1 gambling sheet.
don't think you can gamble anything else for DH at low level. But you can always check out this kadala thingy, dunno how exact it is though. just tested the hellcast waistguard, works fine on level 1 DH.
But, since there's still a week left before season 12, you can just test those things. get some shards, make a new char and gamble away :D

It makes the season start so much easier.

You get 4.6 million gold and mats. so you can level up the 3 vendors right out of the gate (which you would have to do for the journey anyway), craft items every few levels and the stuff written above.

And completing the CRift in a group is even easier since you don't have to complete it solo. and should never take more than 10 mins. the benefits gained vastly outweigh the 10 mins "wasted".

You can't enter T7-T13 games until you hit level 70. Or was that changed?

    Take the Barb for example.

With the shards and mats from the CRift you can gamble Bracers of the First man with level 1. Those give you up to +500% damage on Hammer of the Ancients, which is insane. You couldn't wear those bracers until level 16, BUT you can get cube right away and extract that legendary power. With this you'll have a 500% multiplier the whole time while leveling as soon as the HotA-skill is unlocked (at level 2!) and don't have to wear those level 16 bracers all the way up to level 70.

Also, with the DBs now in the CRift loot, you can level your blacksmith to 12 and start crafting level 70 weapons right away. Get lucky and get -30 level req on it and you can go to T4-T6 as soon as you hit level 40.

I did a testrun of this on the PTR, and it really was a fun experience. It'll make season starts way more enjoyable for me.

So I'm new to the whole season thing if I complete the journey log can I redeem the set on a different character let's say I completed with necromancer can I redeem it on a wizard and get the set for the wizard

Yes you can. If you complete the journey with the nec and open the gift on another class, you'll get this classes set.

But yeah, you can only get one gift per season. So if you already opened it with you nec, you're out of luck obv. :)

posted a message on When to use bloodshards at what level

if possible, create the new char --> do the challenge rift --> claim the reward with the new char = 300 bloodshards --> gamble

that is IF you can do the CR before hitting lvl 70

the recipes can drop at any level and you can craft those at any level, but you can obv. only wear them when you hit 21/23.

This is imho a pretty good wrap-up for leveling purposes: https://d3sanctuary.com/leveling-1-70-methods-explained/

The dagger-version of the Barber seems to be back in the loot pool. This one had the CHD stat. Dunno if this was on purpose or is just another 2.6.0 bug :)

With the season coming to its end, it's sad to see there still is no banhammer being swung around the leaderboards.

Guess botting will become even more common next season... :(

buuuhuuu. Dont be mad cus you didnt get into the leaderboards. Cant blame ppl who bot in this dying game anyways.
that's cool, been in the leaderboard for the last couple of season, just wondering :)

Tinfoil Hat time...Blizzard did not run a ban wave this season because they want all the botters to buy the necro pack....it would be sweet justice if they all got banned right before Season 11 started and after they bought the necro.

that's actually a pretty reasonable argument from a blizzard point of view. totally fucks up s10 leaderboard though.
but still, would love to see this happening :)

Sometimes is hard to tell which players are botting and which ones are dedicated. With the actaul power creep you can grind paragons fairly easily. I would completely ban all cow level exploiters though but i think they won't since you can't really tell who is doing that.

yeah, you can check marwan's profile, he's paragon 3k with about 13h/day, and you can see him grinding all day long on twitch. but then you can check rank 1 4-man, those guys are 3k as well, but with over 21h/day. so it's kinda obv.
but with the ban waves near the end of the last 2 seasons I was kinda expecting to gain some ranks the last couple of days :D
