It wasn't scrapped. They decided to make it for the next gen systems so it needed a graphical overhaul. It's going to be a while. It's a great idea and it's going to be a sweet game when it comes out.

100% Easy. It's a no brainer.

They could make it so that when you transfer your character into the game, you get a bonus instead of playing with them. For instance, lets say you transfer in a high level necromancer or something. Later in the game, you could get a necro specific quest from your original character. Each of the original 7 characters would have a unique quest and they could make it so that you would have had to at least beat diablo 2 with that character to recieve it. I think it would be an awesome idea.

Hmmm... I count five. Regardless, the chronomancer idea sounds cool on paper but very hard to balance. There wont be a templar class, something very similar with a different name. Not templar though. Templar is one of the class names for Hellgate London. Monster tamer sounds cool and so does the Warlock. Fighter is boring. I'm thinking they rename him to Knight and give him sweet armor and shield skills. Basically make him into a tank. There has to be a purely spell casting class too. Possibly Magi or Wizard. I think all classes should me male/female too. I don't want to have to play as a girl to summon meteors. It's not fair.

I don't believe there is enough content in the Diablo universe to make a World of Diablo game. Warcraft has tons of content and the world can be ever changing. Diablo is too linear to be anything but an action rpg. Personally, I think that Diablo 3 should be very similar to diablo 2 with enhanced graphics, more enemies, items, and spells. When I put on a big ass piece of plate armor, I want to be able to see that on my character. I want my character to look like it does in the inventory with all the sweet gear. Personally, I would absolutely love to see a World of Starcraft game. I think it would be amazing. Blizzard doesn't make bad games so no matter what they release, it's going to be a masterpiece. Their artists are incredible, their writers are fantastic and their gameplay designers are superb. It will all come together eventually and we will all love it. I actually hope that Ryan and Cuddz are wrong because I don't believe the character classes they gave fit into the diablo universe. I want all the same old classes with some new ones thrown in. Maybe 10 classes or so with the old ones being reworked. Chronomancers just don't sound right. As for guilds and what not, sure they are fun but don't serve a huge purpose and I doubt there will be any guild specific stuff built into the game. Actually, I just want another diablo game. I'll play it no matter what kind of game it is.

Battle.net was waaaaay ahead of it's time. They should improve on this one, and use the newer, cleaner, faster version for all of their games, except for WoW of course.
