I dunno, man. I remember more than a decade ago, being mocked, insulted, and called a noob in Diablo 2 multiplayer games.. because I was the only one there not running Maphack..Quote from ConundrumNSAI remember a time in gaming where exploiters and cheaters hid in the shadows.
Now they are proud of what they do and THEY feel insulted and attack those who call them on their actions.
WTF happened?

That's an interesting spin. I'm not sure you know what the fuck you're talking about.Quote from xposeWhat exactly did they do to warrant a ban? Oh no, they put it on t6 and ran greater rifts...better ban them.
Retarded reasoning. -

DO NOT pretend to know what's going on behind the scenes. You have no idea how they may choose to handle this. My prediction is that they may call an early end to the season, and perhaps at that point, they may take action against any obvious offenders.
I think it's best that Blizzard take all the time they need to react appropriately. Wide-spread reactive bans can be akin to casting a large net, accidentally reeling in innocent people. It is far worse to convict an innocent person than to allow the guilty to go free. You understand all this clearly? -

I'm sorry, but there are certain behaviors which are clearly UNINTENDED. Standing in town gaining tens of billions of XP per hour is absolutely not by design, therefore it's completely reasonable to ban people over it. No rational player has any expectation of gaining hundreds of paragon levels per day by hanging out in New Tristram therefore you can't just say "Blizzard's fault" and try to justify the actions of the wrongdoers.Quote from AllairusIt's on blizzard to make sure this kind of thing doesn't make it to release, no reason for people to be punished because they missed something.
Anyone who used this exploit, just like the RMAH gold dupe, knows full well that it's NOT intended. There is no way anyone could be confused to the point that they believe it is intended. This isn't just on Blizzard for letting some bug go live. It's on the players for engaging in clearly-unintended behavior. That is the definition of "exploiting" to a T as it pertains to gaming. That is exactly the type of behavior that the rules that say Blizzard can ban people for cheating/exploiting are there to allow for. This "it's just Blizzard's fault for not catching every single bug in their millions of lines of code" is taking the villain and trying to portray them as the hero.
Fuck people like Gabynator. They are why we can't have nice things. The sooner people realize this as it pertains to people using exploits the better off the community will be. So long as fanbois like you keep defending people for this kind of shit the idea of seasons will constantly fall victim to douchebags who will do anything to make sure they have an unfair edge over everyone else.
There's a reason Barry Bonds will never make the hall of fame. No matter how corrupt the voters for the MLB HoF are, everyone knows he cheated and at least they have the balls to say "no" to cheaters instead of blaming everyone else for their actions. Only in online gaming do people make such asinine statements about how cheaters should be praised instead of punished. -

I am particularly amused by all the people pretending that, under any circumstance, the top ladder players would ever behave in a legitimate manner.
To my friends that wondered why I didn't jump in on the first season, saying I'll wait til the second season....well this is why. -

Pretty sure you'll have more luck at http://support.curse.com/home than posting and bumping a thread on one random forum out of all the hundreds on the Curse network.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion -

Bagstone posted a message on Boredom...There's lots of stuff to do for you. Why not get a little better and make it to the top 100? Why not quit solo play and aim for group rankings? You said you're not interested in seasons, achievements, other classes, Hellfire Amulet farming, and so on - but you already did min-/max your DH to a great extent. It basically sounds like a mix of "I've played enough to get exhausted" and "I just don't like the particular content the game offers". It's like some people enjoy a movie and some others don't - there's no recipe (and no reason) why everyone should have the same goal or attitude towards anything (hell, that would be a boring world).Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Take a break from the game if you're bored, that's it. Maybe there's some new stuff in the future that'll spark your interest to come back. -

So if you're interested message me your email account that you've used for steam through Diablofans and I'll gift it to you!
EDIT: I've changed it so that you just throw me your email instead of steam name, makes it easier!

I like that they're going for something different to the whole arena style PvP. It looked like great fun at Blizzcon, but it just seemed like the easy way of dealing with PvP (let's just chuck an arena in there, that will make them happy!). It will be interesting what they come up with
I pretty iffy on dueling being brought back, but only because of how the classes are at the moment (that's assuming they won't change the classes with or before the patch). Buuuut I won't lose any sleep over it!
And please, let's try and not turn this into a "blizzard isn't what they used to be" discussion.

A statistics page would be awesome. One that shows everything, sort of like the WoW one.
