Poor guy, I hope this is a wake up call to anyone who sits at their computer for hours on end.

I think it was Winged who has a similar thread on gaming for long periods of time. The basics are eating healthy, drinking plenty of water/juice and obviously getting up and using your muscles to avoid cramps and give your eyes a rest. Obviously if you have lots of sugar or caffeine you'll get a short burst before crashing hard. Better just to avoid energy drinks or drink in moderation (they have the warnings on the can for a reason).

A recent example in my country was a politician who said he would provide funding for a local hospital and local schools - neither of which came to be. Most of the promises he kept applied to other states so we got the short end of the stick. Just because we have a smaller population doesn't mean he can treat us this way and I'm sure that party will see a sizable loss in voters come next election.

I hope there's a beer coloured potion so I can buy some ale for my Barbarian. I don't think there'll be actual beer (like in WoW) because of the more serious nature of Diablo.

I hate it when they make heaps of promises pre election and then afterwards half of them are eventually cancelled or postponed. I hate politicians.

I know it has the same amount of syllables as the Barbarian, but it has a space in there. The space tips it over the edge making it too much to say every time you want to talk about the character (which will be a lot). It will probably get unofficially shortened to Hunter in game.

To be honest the entire backstory they've released is a bit weak. I mean it's so cliché - her family gets killed by demons so she becomes obsessed with revenge and spends every waking moment training and hunting evil. Boring. The name does reflect this so I think we all get that she hunts demons. I'm kind of banking that there's a lot more to it than this. But what Blizzard has released is a bad first impression compared to the other characters which feel more thought out.

I mean it's a mouthful to say. Barbarian, Wizard and Monk roll off the tongue nicely. Even Witch Doctor is easier to say. It's pretty obvious that all the classes hunt demons so IMO it would have been better if they just called the class Hunter or Stalker. It still matches perfectly with all the lore.

    Official Blizzard Quote:

We haven't made any announcements yet regarding trade systems, but it's something we'll be prepared to reveal soon™. I think it's something people are going to be pretty psyched about, if not passionately indifferent.

Ok, I think this is what I read. I knew I wasn't completely insane.

I'd take anything he posts with a grain of salt. They weren't invited to the press event so it's all he said she said.

I'm almost certain I've read that quote (by Bashiok?) before on Battle.net. Not by Flux.

Edit: I can't find it now so I might be wrong. I'm sure I read something similar in a blue quote.

Stalker, not Demon Stalker. Demon Hunter isn't simple because it has two words. WoW has nothing to do with anything in this topic and we know they're probably not going to change the name at this late stage but it doesn't mean we can't discuss better alternatives.

It's just the way capitalism works.

And the programs are saturated with people abusing them, where people that actually need the programs cannot get them.

I'm confused by this part. Why can't people get into these programs? I'm talking about employment agencies, work for the dole schemes, there are even some courses where they pay you to learn in Australia. There are free counsellors that can help with mental or drug problems. I don't know how bad it is in the US but here corruption is minimal, and people who get caught are dealt with harshly. There's so much help out there if you know where to look and put in the effort to start fixing your life.

Well I wasn't going to mention it but he made the mistake twice. So now he's learnt something. I agree with you by the way, there are programs available to help people get back on their feet but we can't just hand out freebies or the problem will get worse.
