    I stand corrected.

Mruos you're not gonna freak out and do something similar to keep Americans out of Europe? You keep having a go at the United States. I'm sure some murderers and prisoners will still want to kill this guy in prison, stop acting as though people in Norway are special.

@ Mruos - It's a real group. Unless you mean he had nothing to do with that group?

There's usually greed where there's corruption.

I will judge your portfolio. The R. Johnson one is especially trippy. 10/10

Agreed, I just hope the family and friends have the sense to stay off the internet. There's too many "youtube commenter" types of people ripping into her before she's even had her funeral. It's just disrespectful to be honest.

Exactly we're better than him. To torture would be to bring yourself to their level, and I wouldn't support a government that did that.

posted a message on D1, D2 and D3 atmosphere thoughts
I'm hoping that some areas of D3 will capture that magnificent vibe from D1; the hopelessness, claustrophobic feel where everything wants to kill you, where even the town is a creepy place. If they can give each act a real different atmosphere then I'll be a happy camper. I just hope it's easy to lose yourself in Sanctuary and experience some nostalgic creepy parts reminiscent of D1.

    @ Don

I think everyone should donate to charity. I know I should donate more and I feel bad about it. Feel free to call me greedy or lazy.

With the bank example, they're not being greedy as long as they've gone through all the other options (like extended the payments or worked out a better payment plan for the family). In a capitalist state you're expected to make your payments. If the family hasn't found a source of money by the extended dates then it's unfortunate for them.

True greed is a negative thing, this "positive greed" you're talking about is something else. I can't think of the word for it but it's basically looking out for your own best interests. Maybe instinct? or survival of the fittest? ambition?

@ shackyAak - The foggy area in act I is one of my favourite screenshots released. I can't wait to get the full experience exploring the surroundings and listening to the music (should be creepy) while fighting off the undead. The corpse wagon outside of town adds a lot to this atmosphere. These are old screenshots, the area may look even better when the game ships. There's a video where ghost Leoric beheads his wife using a guillotine. I really like these additions. In D2 it was more subtle, with the stationary bodies, torture chambers, and the harems to name a few.
I agree that a lot of the creepy atmosphere was lost in D2. It was a different kind of atmosphere - more epic. It was still a little bit creepy in some of the dungeons though. Hopefully D3 gets the best of both worlds, depending on what act you're in. I'm ashamed to say that I'd forgotten about those foggy screenshots. It's increased my anticipation for the game a fair bit.

In regards to the music, D1 has the most memorable for me. D2 was good. D3 sounds good so far but I will reserve judgement - I will say that I thought the music in SC1 was a lot better than the music in SC2, and they're probably using the same band, music director in D3 as in SC2 to my knowledge. However we need to hear how it flows in game.

The sounds Fetishes (little jungle dudes) make...

Note: I won't miss the actual monster! Just the sounds, lol.

I miss all of the sound effects from Diablo I. I think the voice acting will be a let down in Diablo III. I mean compare King Leoric.

    Leoric in D1.

    Leoric in D3.

The main thing I'll miss is the atmosphere. But perhaps it is better to wait and see, we can't properly judge the game from seeing only a few pre-beta gameplay videos.

That doesn't sound like greed it sounds like ambition.

Excessive greed as I've always taken it is when you begin to step on others to get ahead, because that sort of thinking is counter productive to society as a whole. Do your best to attain greater things, but at what costs? There is a line everyone should draw somewhere, and that's where it becomes greed. Greed is bad. Greed without the excessive part isn't greed, it's just seeking a better life.

I'd like to equate greed and seeking a better life. Greed is oftentimes just a misunderstood quest for a better life.

You always step on other people's toes when you exist -- oftentimes inadvertently, though.

I destroyed someone's dream when only 200 people are chosen annually to attend the law school I chose and I was selected. Someone else was the 201st person who wasn't selected. When I take the last package of inexpensive minced meat from the supermarket that means that someone else either can't make that wonderful dish they were planning or they have to pay a little extra. And the list goes on.

Like I said, everyone should draw a line somewhere. But that's not for others to draw.

I think of greed as taking a lot more than you need. You getting chosen to go to law school isn't greedy. You demonstrated that you were better for it, or you simply won the luck of the draw. You both wanted the position but the other guy was unlucky so he has to wait and try again later.

Taking a single packet of meat isn't greedy as you were first there. Taking four packets isn't greedy if you have a large family to feed, or if you're having a barbecue. Now, taking five packets for yourself is a little bit greedy. There's a fine line to draw between greed and security though. Maybe you're not going to be able to visit the supermarket for a couple of weeks so you need to stockpile.
