posted a message on + Official PC Builds Discussion Thread + (Reroute all "will my computer run this?" questions HERE)
First off sorry if this isn't the right place for this I wasn't too sure.

I'm looking for opinions on the PC I'm building in prep for D3.
    the stats are as follows:

    X85A-UD3R motherboard (by Gigabyte)
    INTEL I7 core 960
2 NVIDIA 460GTX in SLI (thinking about a 3rd at a later date)
    12GB RAM
80GB SSD with a 2TB external HDD once I get it fixed -.- connected via eSATA
I have an extra HDD but it's in my laptop depending on how things go I might move it over (somehow o.0)

3D TV to be included when prices are viable (for my monitor of course)
Not doing the math the hard way I round it out to roughly ~$1100-$1200 range not doing that tax math (OW! taxes math in my head)
These are just the main specs if you want anymore details or if there is something important I missed let me know I'll add it on in.

posted a message on This Week's Poll: Will You PvP?
As far as PvP goes I don't hate pvp it's self. I hate that as a casual player i get grouped with live, eat, breath, and RAGE PvP. I will have bad matches I will have good matches. If you are on my team for a bad match I'm sorry. But I will give you a 100% guarantee, you rage at me I will not do better. There are a few reasons behind this:

    1. I'm not just playing PvP anymore I'm also trying to defend myself from friendly fire.
    2. My desire to see someone that is raging at me win -20%.
    3. It's a game I'm here to have fun.
    4. The best reason for you not to rage at me is..... I'm more likely to sabotage you than just leave. (I know it's not right but, you won't learn if I just leave)

Now I know some of you are out there thinking the your a noob thoughts and bad mouthing me for ever playing PvP. But, I have every right to play the game that you do.To anyone else out there that's a casual PvPer or just a more laid back PvPer I think you know what I mean.

On that note good luck and be kind to the people having trouble.

P.S. sorry about the rant I was just in another PvP were this was an issue.

Sorry I forgot to mention I voted once in a while.

posted a message on Town Portal... SET ITEMS (Green Items)
Sorry I went lazy mode I didn't read all that I did vote though. With the new stats in place + stats seem to be the best way to go even over + skills.

posted a message on Looking for some D3 project ideas...
Well, I don't have any idea per say off the top of my head. But, I would try asking around and see if there is something the D3 fans really want. I'm finding my self at a loss because you said you don't want to do a forum or a website. One more thing I'd like to ask is, do plan to make this for pre or post launch? I might think of something will a little direction to work with.

If you go with post launch I would say item and/or artisan resource. Alternatively, with the changes in stats and skill/traits a program that will allow people to compare gear with classes in mind such as putting the items slot and stats for both in and getting a display of what you would get out of the change.

Sorry if this isn't the kind of answer you were looking for.

posted a message on Diablo III economy
    Quote from Umpa

    Quote from FingolfinGR

It's gonna be hard work to get the gold people will demand for the high end runes and gems. Only sure thing is that it's going to be easier to trade (not to get the items you want).

    This.

It's only "mmo" to you because that is where the idea of auction house originated. But there's nothing "massive multiplayer online" about the idea really. This idea should have been somehow enabled in D2 even.

The auction house is nothing more than a fantastic idea. Personally I feel it's one of the most innovative ideas from Blizzard for WOW.

It is THE solution to D2JSP. And thank god too. D2JSP ruined D2 because of how it was something almost...exclusive...but not exclusive enough to not completely fuck up D2 economy.

Might I add, D2JSP was essentially an auction house. However, it was out of game and not easily accessible and completely screwed up the economy.

With an auction house provided by Blizz, we will ALL be able to access it, keep up with it, and grow together instead of having an extremely wealthy upper class and extremely poor lower class.

Sorry to lazy to cut down the quote. But Blizzard/WoW were not the first check the old as dirt and still going EverQuest (the original) while not same implementation it is the same concept.

:offtopic: Alas Sony has gone to the dark side of money. :QQ:

posted a message on Talismans Q
    Quote from ScyberDragon

Actually they have. In a twitter response to a question I asked, bashiok responded that they will effect base stats.

Thanks for the answers and on this note by Scyber (if you don't mind me calling you so) take into account that stats aren't D2 style anymore they are now the attack deffence vitality "spirit"?. Not sure what last one was called but it was the resource stat. So, something like a +1 attack charm might be nice and maybe a unique one of higher level be something like +5-10 or so i.e. big damage change. They are still on this stat model if someone could confirm? Thanks again :thanks:

posted a message on Talismans Q
First I just wanted to say this is my first time starting a post on this site so I apologize if it is in the wrong place.

Now, on to my question, does anyone have any information about talismans in Diablo 3 I've heard about them being in the game. But, there hasn't been any information on them, that I am aware of. My own assumption is that they are similar to charms due to their name.

P.S. I've been following Diablo fans and Force for about a couple months now and all the info you guys put out seems to be solid and knowledgeable. Keep it up guys.

posted a message on Shape Shifter
Ok I have a few thoughts on the shape shifter idea so bear with me. (no pun intended) One point i would bring up is The druid could see a return for same/similar reason the Barb did it was good but not great and there is sooooo much more they could do with him or her o.0? Plus the argument of gear not showing is something that can come down to the development they just correspond form look to gear and boom you have gear effect your form problem solved. Mind you this would probably take some time but it would be a new D3 class so why not put the little extra in to make it great. As for actual form ideas you could go with: an Asian tiger type idea, or a lion, an alligator/caiman (could be tanky or dps falls to reasoning), an idea based on a bird type form might make things interesting, a Spirit form opens doors I think, Boar for tanky, some arachnids could be fun like spider or scorpion, another tanky idea would be a rhino, and why straight animals a chimera might be fun, or manticore, mind you the last 2 fall into the "monster" category that I don't think they want to do. Lastly a couple my on rejected ideas: snake form (how do I hold my weapon now  ), of course for diablo I have to say it a cow form, elephant form (just terrible form idea all around there :pinch: ). Well thats all I can think of at the moment.

    posted a message on Gems
Ideally I want to use gems but I'm a little worried they will end up being like D2 gems and really useful.
Mind you I may change this idea if i find you still need 3 of a kind to make the next gem up and seeing as only the first 5 I, think it was, actually drop I may ditch the idea for more inventory space. On a side note in the artisan video the emerald (little out of date I know) didn't appear to to have a weapon damage augment like in D2 i.e. poison. Any Ideas on that?

posted a message on Characters: D2 vs D3
    Quote from enkeria

    Whats up Diablofans?

All right, this isnt a MAJOR topic but I have questioned it to my self on and off while reading and seeing videos about all the new characters in D3.

Okey, so here is my thought:

    Barbarian (D2) = Barbarian (D3)

No question about it.. He have the same core.
But how about the other characters?

Amazon (D2) = a fourth of an Demon Hunter? (D3)
    Sorceress (D2) = a third of an Wizard (D3)
    Druid (D2) = a fourth of an ...Expansion-character?
Assassin (D2) = a fourth of an Demon Hunter? (D3)
    Necromancer (D2) = A fourth of an Demon Hunter? (D3) + A third of an Witchdoctor? (D3)
    Paladin (D2) = A third of an Monk? (D3)

Will you miss your favourite character genre and do you think they have killed some good ideas or perhaps made them better?

Ok after all I've seen on the new classes I need to fix some of your D2 = D3 set ups.
#1. Assassin = Monk (check out the combos)
    #2. Necromancer = just Witchdoctor
#3. Paladin = Monk (just barely though due to "holy magic")
Well... that's all I've got really.

posted a message on Will You Craft in Diablo III?
I think I'll max all my artisans on one character before I decide what I will do with artisans on any other characters.
As it stands I only know much of anything about the blacksmith so I'm kind of up in the air about what I will actually do once I get some info on the other artisans.

posted a message on How will set items work?
I picked multiple items because I've actually seen it work on a diablo style game (one the best that i would put just below diablo 2). The game was called Sacred and they had multiple item sets that had different levels but still acted as a set with base item stats that fit the level version you had. If you don't know the game you should check it out, it was a blast dunno if people still play it or not. But on a similar note I just want to see less "useless" set and unique items. I mean as a whole or partial set, there were sets that i looked at and found myself going: OK... and this exists why?

P.S. spell check doesn't recognize diablo as a word.
