I can't even see if anything was added to that post, though I am color-blind to Red. how about bold/slanted/underlined/something besides red? Other things (B/I/U) are slightly more noticeable then a color-change.
thinking of gold made me think of something: The items you can buy is determined by your amount of gold & char level (&/ &or) where you are in the game.
pretty cool idea, does seem like a lot of calculating though.
also i think the kill counter should be on some other page, like a records page, with other things like favourite weapon, favourite spell, most powerful enemy vanquished, number of kills per act/game, experience per act/game, number of hours spent playing (real life not in game, if in game hours are scaled, like in BG 2hrs real time = 24 hours BG time) i have already stipulated to this in the master list.
I think there shoudl be a 'page' somewhere (like if you install a diablo 2 mod you can view extra stats of the char your playing) that has extra stats:
gold find
damage to demons/undead (different)
% resitant to magic, fire, cold, lighning, fire
damage done in the above
exp gained (like a 'large' mod for d2 changed a skill that would add exp after kills [It was just like all else, it just would "give' you more than the regular game})
I'd probably have to put a pic up of what the more does, to many things to list.
Even if we knew the system reqs that would change & certinaly be more for: Vista & the game. Right now I'm using Vista I can't even run some of the basic 'games' that come with this computer: Like Solitare. But I can run Diablo 2 LOD (with a "large" mod) fine.
So have to consider two things: Would this run/be "made" for Vista? Or not?
If there is a dark & light in the game, be able to tell when the game swtiches from day->night->day->night->day->night, etc. Couldn't really tell in Diablo 2. Now if it's somewhat like WarCraft II Reign of Chaos; a little image somewhere on the screen showing a moon or the sun.
Oh and this is a MUST: NO SMALL ANNOYING CREATURES. GOD! Those little things in the end of Act 1, & ACT 3. Those little buggers made me HATE (with a passision) ACT 3. I don't care how easy they are to kill, they are annoying to HELL.
Excellent list. Though some of this would probably jack up the hardware requirements for the computers, but doom (2?|quake (3?)) did that for graphics card.
Another idea: Items (weapons specifically) can & "should" have blood on them, the more blood (red) on them, the less (or more?) damanage they do to the monster.
We'll certinaly think of more, I can almost always thing of features to add to forum-software---right on the spot sometimes. heh.
