I disagree with making act 2 easier. I, like everyone here, got my ass handed to me when I started act 2. I thought it sucked. I hated it. I play a monk and watched as the ranged classes had a much easier time.
Eventually, I accepted this and farmed act 1 over and over again until I had the gear to actually do act 2 with the exception of and 800dps sword I bought in the auction house. Now, act 2 isn't so tough. I can run around with 5 stacks of nephalem valor and kill bosses as a monk (i even have enough time to switch to magic find gear before the last hit). I think if they nerf act 2,3, and 4, then I'll pretty much be done with the game as I'll be "overgeared" and it'll feel like easy mode. I was hoping to be playing this game for months before beating inferno... but I'm in act 3 now and it's only been 3 weeks.
I realize a LOT of people are going through what I went through at first... thinking act 2 is just too hard... but really I think you just need to keep at it and keep trying! My vote is against the nerfing of later acts. I would, instead, nerf the ranged classes so that act 2 is harder for EVERYONE. I want a hard game.
I am for making the multiplayer more do-able, however. If I can clear act 2 solo, and my friend can clear act 2 solo, we should be able to team up and clear act 2 together. This wasn't the case and it seemed broken.

If the bodies would slam into walls with a thud, or hit the ground harder after a barbarian smash, it would honestly feel more gratifying, even if they didn't fly as far.Posted in: News

ALSO, does anyone know what will happen if you combine old set + new set?
For example, if I only have 1 piece of the old set, which says if I get 4 peices I will have 2 regen/sec, and the other 3 pieces are from the new set which says it gives 0.5 regen/second, which bonus will I get?

I expect more than 40 hours of gameplay out of my $60 because that is the expectation that Blizzard gave to me and everyone else for the game they produced. They predicted people wouldn't beat inferno until August. The RMAH still hasn't gone live. The game is expected to last for years. I've been following it for years during development, beta, and finally release. In another 2 weeks I will have beat it on the hardest difficulty and say... "Was that it? Was that the whole game that I've been waiting for for years?"
I am always looking for the most efficient way to move my character forward. In act 1, that was repeating the butcher runs over and over again with NV. Regular mobs now die in 2-3 hits on act 1, whereas before it was always a battle. What bothers me, is that you've fallen into the same mindset as everyone else. You think 10-15 hours/week will allow you to continue to move forward at a "reasonable" pace. Inferno was intended to be only for elite players. If you've beat the game on Hell mode, then you beat the game. Inferno wasn't for the 10-15 hour/week type of player. It was for those of us in it for the long haul and wasnt supposed to end so quickly.

While true that we need to see what "nerfs" have been done to inferno before we complain, I still agree with the title of this thread. Inferno doesn't really need a nerf. Yep, starting in act 2, it gets hard. I rolled a monk so I died a lot. A single grenade from one of those burrowing monkeys would kill me. Get hit by a couple bugs buzzing around? Dead. Elite packs? Don't even try.. just run. I thought it was too hard. I saw my demon hunter buddy skate around and kill them. He died in 1 hit like me, but he had the ability to not get hit.. because he wasn't in melee range... so he progressed while I seemed to stagnate.
This was last week.
Lastnight I beat Belial, solo, with 5 stacks of N.V. Amazing what can change in a week's time. I'm in act 3 now, dying like I did in the beginning of act 2... but I know things will get better if I keep farming... keep trying. The game has been out 3 whole weeks... just 3. I want it to be hard. I don't want a nerf. I want to have to be able to be an elite player to beat this game on inferno. I didn't think Diablo 3 was going to be a "1 month" game, but if the nerf stick hits too hard, I'll already be overgeared and have to move on. What needs to happen is a class balance. A balance so that all classes progress at an equal rate. All classes take the same amount of time to get through the act. Give the Demon Hunter less damage, more survivability, etc.
I know people complain it's too hard. Good. Come to the forum. Rage away. Say you'll quit and the game isn't any fun. You won't quit. You'll adapt and learn to overcome as myself and others have done. You won't quit because it's too hard.
You'll only quit when they nerf the game too hard. When you beat Diablo on inferno in a couple weeks, realize there is nothing left to do but farm gear for killing a boss you've already killed. That's when you'll get bored....
You won't get bored while the game is hard, while there is still something left to kill.... something to farm for.

The only thing that would make me buy the collectors edition is a permanent scroll of companion to pick up gold for me.

..or a permanent scroll of companion following you around. You get to keep moving quickly through monsters while the bug picks up the gold. Srsly my idea is bestest.

I like the idea of the soundtrack. Putting music onto a CD is fairly easy.
The idea that I really like (and I think I came up with it myself) is a permanent scroll of companion. A little snake/spider that follows me around permanenty and picks up gold, unless I decide to turn it off, is something that's easy to code, and would make me want to purchase the collector's edition. The end benefit of the extra gold is worth the initial expense to me.

Agreed. Post deleted. Now on to the topic.... what problems did the RMAH system create in Korea? Was it some sort of social problem such as people spending all of their real life savings on in-game items? Does anyone have more details?

I'm pretty sure the monk IS the last airbender. We'll probably find that out after we finished Diablo 3.
