Let's say my desktop account is chosen for the beta. Can I also play the it in my notebook? I ask that because my desktop is in my hometown and I study in another city. So if I can't use my notebook I'll have too play on weekends only.
Yes you can. In SC2 beta, as well as cataclysm, once i got in, i was able to install it on any computer i wanted just like any game.
Also, it'll just show up on your games list when you get in. Like if you log into BNET you have your list of games connected to that account; it should just show up once you get in unless they mail you a key. Which BTW you should never click ANY links at all even if they're from blizzard. If you get a key, google "battlenet" then click that link and log in, but never ever click any links in emails especially from blizzard.
I'm hoping we get a good long look at what they've got planned for endgame content. I'm VERY interested in what they're going to do with it.
If by endgame content you mean the last act, i wouldn't count on it. Maybe they'll reveal some of the systems to get wound up in to extend the game's replayability after u reach lvl 60 but i wouldn't expect them to show anything having to do with the last act. They didn't do it for D2, rarely do with with WoW, and i'd bet the same applies for D3.
1. B.net 2.0 D3 features
2. Example of new Boss mechanics
3. "The Beta will be ready soon™"
lol yeah, pretty much that's probably what it'll be.
What would be incredibly awesome is if they just skipped beta and told us they've been doing a closed nondisclosured beta for months already and were ready to launch soon and skip the open beta altogether. Chances of that happening im not sure but somewhere in the odds of 1:20000000000000000000000000000000000000000
Let's say I do order it from Amazon.
They will have to ship the game a little before the actual release since the flight alone is like 12 hours.
Is that possible?
Yep, i'm pretty sure they do. They work with blizzard on their "release date shipping guarantee". Like i said a few posts back, i have yet to have Amazon not live up to that guarantee. I'll probably be getting mine through Amazon same as always.
Any way to pre-order collector's edition and guarantee play day of release too (without having to buy more than 1 game)?
Amazon.com is the way to do that. I used amazon for WoW:wraith of the lich king, WoW: Cataclysm, and Starcraft 2. Every blizzard game i've ever ordered from there has been collectors and every order i've ever done from amazon had Release Date Delivery guaranteed. And every single time, it's made it to my house on the date of release.
So yeah, if anyone is worried about it being sold out in a store nearby or not being able to get it on the day of release, just wait for it to go on sale on amazon and choose release date delivery. They're really good about getting it to you on time.
Just log into your bnet account, or create one, then under the main page "account" there should be a tab for "beta settings" download the system specifications tool which will take 5 seconds to download and send the system info they need to them, then check off Diablo under the beta opt ins.
Also: BEWARE OF SCAMS
There will be scammers after beta is announced and There's a chance if you get in beta, Blizzard will just email you a big "pretty" email with images and Diablo 3, blizzard logo, etc. As well as a CD key.
This is normal, but the legit emails will often look identical to scammer emails trying to steal your info, install viruses, steal your bnet account, etc. Never click links in blizzard emails no matter how legit they look. Login by googling "battlenet" then clicking through the top link etc. But never click an email link.
To reiterate...NEVER, EVER click a link in an email. If you get an email that says your in beta and says all you have to do is click a link to enter your account info, it's likely a scam. It may be legitimate, but again, dont click any links in the email. Always play it safe. Type in battlenet and access it like that or even better just google "battlenet" and login to your account like that THEN enter the cd key there.
Hackers/scammers will be in full force after any beta announcements sending out extremely legitimate looking "welcome to beta, click this link:" emails, then they'll steal your account, your games, probably your email password, and install viruses on your diablo3 pc. So be wary; Once beta is announced, there will be scammers. Never click a link in your email.

Yeah, i am of the same opinion as everyone else; different games entirely, and thus not a threat.
Not to mention just judging from all of the SWTOR videos i've seen, the game looks terribad. The graphics look about 6 years old, gameplay looks boring (this is coming from someone who still has a wow account), the quests look boring, and it looks too dialogue heavy. A threat for D3? not at all.
I'm just curious if any of the particularly excited for D3 people out there, like myself, have any plans for when D3 launches, new computer coming? already arrived? time off from work planned?
Furthermore, anyone got any plans of things to try in the game? melee wizard? ice based witchdoctor? Dual wielding dual shielding barbarian?
I put a new computer together for myself a few months ago, and just picked up a mechanical keyboard for the inevitable release of D3; So i've almost got a brand new computer area for myself as well as about 2 weeks of PTO saved up at work for the launch and i'm definitely getting collector's edition. But yea, im curious if anyone else whom is...as excited as i am, has made any plans or gotten any new shiz.
