posted a message on Has D3 lost their true diablo fans?
    Quote from Cowcaine

Or maybe they stay off these forums. I may be wrong but after being on this site for a couple of years and playing the beta since January, it feels like there are ALOT of WOW ans SC2 players and new diablo players buzzing around d3, in-game and out. There's nothing wrong with that but most of the complaints about D3 come from them. I keep seeing questions and topics being made and thinking to myself "Really? Have they even played D2?". I remember back in the day when people were drooling over just to get a Bonesnap Maul for their barb and when Magic Arrow was a nuclear bomb. has Diablo lost fans?

Im sorry but magic arrow was never a fucking nuclear bomb. Shave that neckbeard and piss off.

posted a message on Inferno to include new items and a whole tier of armor each act
    Quote from Makesh
Does this mean that we will only really farm the last act of Inferno instead of all the acts?
I really dont think you'll be able to skip acts like in diablo 2, and fast forward yourself to act 4 inferno for the best gear. I think you'll just die endlessly if you try that.

I think the way Blizzard has balanced it, the party size really prevents 8 player stomp fests where 3 geared people are carrying 5 scrubs just leeching for gear. Contrast that with how it is now, having 4 people max to a group. I think it makes it easier for Blizzard to balance around preventing that same thing from happening that happened in Diablo 2. I highly doubt people will be able to jump to the hardest act of inferno and expect to survive. I just think it flat out won't work.

    Quote from axion

Any other long time fans of the series and longtime posters on this site still as excited to play diablo 3 as they were before beta? Seems like the only thing I have seen posted is negative things, I feel so far they have stayed pretty true to the series and I'm even more pumped than before.

You'd better believe i'm excited. Each day until the 15th for the last 2 months has been like watching a pot of water boil. That date can't come fast enough.

posted a message on Lack of Diminishing Returns in CC
    Quote from Ruppgu

I am very worried about the state of CC abilities... Here's why...

1.) No diminishing returns on CC abilities

    * This is extremely exploitable with groups of characters. What is going to stop a group of 4 warriors from keeping monsters chain stunned with ground stomp, Mages w/ frost nova, etc.?

    * I'm unsure about when the increased resistances start to kick in. Can you exploit chain stun all the way through normal? What about all the way through nightmare? etc. A yes to any of these questions would be a big disappointment. Enemies need diminishing returns on CC effects. There is no reason why a group should be allowed to keep a group of enemies chain stunned.

2.) End game increased resistance of CC abilities

    * I am not thrilled with this solution at all. It's better than allowing us to chain stun enemies but it's vastly worse than a diminishing returns system. There are 2 major faults with an increased resistance system

A.) There is nothing less fun than dying because your escape ability (stun, frost nova, etc.) rolled poor RNG and failed. Dying because of RNG and not lack of skill is not a fun system.

B.) Only certain defensive skills are being targeted. This will imbalance the skills that aren't targeted. If you add resistance to a skill like frost nova what will you do to an ability like teleport or mirror images? What happens with this system is that frost nova gets worse but the others remain the same.

Why was this system decided on instead of a simple diminishing returns system? It just seems.... worse on all accounts. Am I missing something?

After you play it, you'll realize this is a non issue.

Obviously you are being your typical tool self again. Every post you make makes you look more and more like a douche bag. Theres a difference between being married and being single... and you talk like a single person. if you are not willing to be "pussy whipped" then you are too immature to handle a marriage. Marriage is about a union between too people... not just a fucking title. Women are usually more attention needy than men. Its part of their social aspect and can go all the way back to anthropology to explain. The female brain is developed around socialization.... if you abandon your wife for a video game.. you are putting something FAKE in front of someone that love you and something that is real. As for planning to fuck... dude grow up... have kids.... and more importantly a job (since you hate republicans i'm guessing you hate working too). Its hard to find time to do anything ... so YES alot of couples do require planning time to have sex.
You dont sound qualified to be making those claims. Maybe in 10 or 15 years when you're 25 you can but not now.
Lol... POKEMON FTW!!!! You sir... win the internet for your awesome... overpowering, most relevant flame. You can derail my entire post by simply being ignorant and saying I'm 10-15... but yet, I have been on this site since August 2009... and my profile has said 25 years old since ... i don't know my last birthday?

You sure showed me. Check mate i guess?

Sit down with her and discuss a possibility schedual for you. Say like, between 7 and 9 on these days i like to play. The other days/times over you spend together.

This way you know when u can game and for how long and your wife will be happy that she doesn't has to scream GET OF THE PC NOW every single time of the day :)

You have to make a schedule to do shit by yourself?
Damn you are pussy whipped something fierce....

You need to man up and get your balls out of your wife's purse!

No kidding. I don't understand it. It's OK to be respectful and understanding, but give up your manhood in the process? That's the kind of guy girls cheat on. Y'all need to get your act together.

Op ask for SUGGESTIONS on how to play, people give suggestions, people get trolled. Good times.

Who is trolling? I was just commenting on what is very bad advice.

Or do you plan fucking too?

How are you guys going to play D3 and still maintain good relationship with your wife? I just got married, and was thinking of buying another comp so as to let my wife join in *fingers crossed*

    Any other suggestions?

My GF and i are practically married, she has her hobbies, i have mine. When D3 launches i'm taking 2 weeks off work and she doesn't care how much i play. I usually sit at my computer and chitchat with her while i'm playing if i am so it's not like we're completely cut off. She'll probably be playing the sims or playing Diablo 3 as well if i can talk her into it. That's how i plan to deal with it.

posted a message on Character Titles Returning?
I havent seen it anywhere so i figured i'd ask.

Are character titles returning for completing the various difficulties? I know that we're being rewarded with the battle standard things, but if i make for example my barbarian "Nurgle", and i beat nightmare, will he become "Lord Nurgle"?

    Anyone heard anything about this?
