It will be similar to SC2, meaning, there will be a first wave of keys, fansites will receive a bunch of em to give to the users, also, blizzard will give additional keys to people already in beta, so they can invite friends, additional waves may happen.

SC2 was about 6 months long, but SC2 needs a lot more balancing, and Battle.net 2.0 was on its initial stages, so D3 beta will probably last 3-4 months. maybe less.

This is purely your own speculation, no where has Blizzard ever said the Diablo 3 beta was going to work like this.

I guess it depends on how thorough you are when it comes to exploring every part of the map, but 25-30 hours sounds about right.

Ooh man, this was absolutely me. I had to explore every inch of an area in Diablo 1 and 2 before I would move on.

Theres nothing wrong with having extra featuers in the game.

They need to be features that add value to the game. I disagree that a guild system for a game like Diablo III would be useful. You already have all of the tools you need for playing with people that you want.

Dude if you dont want guilds dont use them, dont fucking troll me. There are a lot of people that want this feature and Blizzard promised us back in the sc2 beta days that they will imeplement this later after the game gets realeased.

Don't fucking troll you? Excuse me? Just because I disagree with you, and you are throwing a tantrum about it, doesn't mean i'm trolling you. Grow up.

All you've done so far is post a bunch of very weak arguments and incorrect information and I called you out on it. Your response so far to this is to act like a baby about it. Has nothing to do with me.

    Official Blizzard Quote:

There is offline single player, but it's something we're going to attempt to discourage as best as possible.

Look at the date that was posted. That was from almost a year ago. Things have changed since then.

    Stop exaggerating.

They can't remove everything from the game and make it all server side.

Stop exaggerating yourself, I never said that.

It's perfectly possible Diablo 3 will be cracked, but I think highly unlikely. My bets are on it won't be. I think most people will realize that the game is multiplayer and buy it. Yeah Starcraft 2 was cracked early on, but once patches started coming out, piracy groups stopped caring about trying to crack it. If you try pirating Starcraft 2 today, it's not possible.

I dont get it how some people on this forum dont understand anything. I want a guild support with at least guild chat and clan tags. I dont want some shit chanel system like in SC2 where i havent found even 1 clan in the game.

Guild support can be implemented into every game. THis has nothing to do with mmorpgs and WOW.

Speak for yourself with not understanding anything. Guild support can be implemented into every game, but it doesn't need to be. I guess we should add guild support to Torchlight then, a single player only game? That's what you are arguing for here.

There are clans in Starcraft 2, you haven't looked hard enough. The channel I hang out in has a couple players who are in a clan. None of them argue for clan features or really care. I've never seen the top Korean clans in Starcraft 2 argue for wanting clan features.

To make it Diablo 3 specific, this is the only thread i've seen anywhere, where only one person is arguing for wanting a guild system in Diablo 3. It's just not something anyone else cares about.

With how good the crackers/hackers are now aday, we will have single player offline mode within 2 weeks.

No, we will not. They need a single player to actually hack their way into and it doesn't exist in Diablo 3.
I guess I missed the part where single player was eliminated all together, I thought you just had to have an active internet connection to play single player.

It's there, but not in the same way that it is for Starcraft 2. Large portions of the game are still server side, as are your characters.

I will eat a hat if it turns out there is a single player crack for Diablo 3. Starcraft 2 has been hard enough for people to pirate, the current version can't be played by pirates.

Im gonna have to invite 52 people into my "guild chat" every time i log into D3?? This is what you call a good battlenet feature?

What? That's not how it works at all. People can set b.net to have them be automatically logged into a chatroom once they log into the game.

In the chatroom I join with a group of other people from another forum, we've never had an issue with random people coming in that we didn't want there, or people causing problems. It's usually around 50 people during the prime time hours and hardly anyone talks anyways. Everyones busy actually playing the game.

This isn't WoW, if you find yourself sitting around, just doing nothing but bullshitting in a chatroom, you're doing it wrong.

Blizzard making stupid choices doesn't make Torchlight any less shitty of a game.

Pretty much. I put only 24 hours into Torchlight, according to Steam and haven't touched the game in a real long time. From everything i've seen about Torchlight II, it's everything I hated about Diablo II and can't stand anymore.

I hate to break it to buzzard but after the NO offline play all of the people I talked to said F them I will get a pirated copy and play my way. SO that was 7 sales they lost.

They are now control freaks and a lot of people will just tell them to f off.

Pretty hard to play a pirated game offline when there is no offline feature.

I've played dozens of MMORPGs, since as far back as 1996. I know how "cool" it is to be in a guild. I just don't feel it applies to an action RPG with a 4 player limit.

I dont understand what has a 4 player limit has to do with anything. If the game is full other guild member will just make a new game. Then we will have 2 games and speaking together in 1 chat. Who told you that all guild members need to be at the same place????

If it's anything like Starcraft 2, you can access any b.net chatroom from anywhere within the game. All of your arguments so far for why we need a guild system, are features that are already built into b.net. All you really want is a guild label attached and that is just completely pointless.

Then you will have a chatroom with 100 people, problem solved.

You dont know how cool it is to be in a guild. And 100 freinds vs 100 guild mates is something totaly different.
