Smart loot, eh? I don't even have a DH. All I play is barb (S5 @ PL 737).

I can get this (whatever it is I'm assuming it's decent since all my DH buddies talk about it) but I can't get a nicely rolled ancient IK helm, Mr. RNG?

    Hi Guys,

I played casually since D1 but stopped playing before season 1 of D3. I play maximum 4 hours a week so I guess I will stay in non-season. After I came back to D3 this week I found that I am so far behind :-) I don't even have any thing to put in for cube powers.

I have a few questions and any help is greatly appreciated.

    1. I understand that the best way to gear up is to do regular rift like there is no tomorrow, and I can do T3 rift without dying but super slow. Should I focus on T1 or T2 for now?

    2. Should I start to obtain legendary gems? I can do GR18 slowly :-(

    3. For cube rare upgrades and gambling, what should I go for first?

    Best Regards,

    Carpenters

Hey, welcome back to Diablo. It's never too late to pick up in this game as it's pretty much a never ending grindfest as I'm sure you know.

    1) I would recommend farming at whatever difficulty you are basically one shotting trash and killing champs and elite packs in 10 seconds or so. You will gradually get the gear you need to start going higher in the torments. Don't worry about rushing. The legendary rates have been increased by quite a bit so you'll be decently geared in no time.

Though a majority will disagree with me, I highly recommend clearing rifts from beginning to end. Do no ignore chests or breakables or corpses as they all potentially yield legendaries and gifts. Since playing this season, I have gotten some of my best legs from these places and I will always take the time to search them. Plus, the chances of finding goblin packs and rare goblins is increased the deeper you go into the rifts after beating the Rift Guardian.

    2) Once you can comfortably farm mid torments and have a decent amount of legendary gear, at that point I would start to run GRs. Granted you can always run the lower ones, maybe GR 10 for example, to get the blood shards and nice drops after the Greater Rift Guardian is slain. That will help you gear up more quickly. But you'll need to farm regular rifts to kill the guardians to get the greater rift keys.

    3) The biggest challenge I think players face in this game is farming mats. It's boring and time consuming for most of us. But doing so enables us to create some very powerful weapons and extract the legendary affixes to strengthen our builds. For now, I would just spend the blood shards as you get them and not worry too much about crafting in the cube. The reason why is it can be very addicting to keep crafting in hopes you get that super duper awesome ancient but trust someone who's spent nearly 6-7k in Death's Breaths so far this season -the odds of this happening are very very low for a myriad of reasons. Plus, you need to know which rares produce what legendaries as well.

I hope this info helps. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll try to answer them as best I can.
    Good luck! ;D

Whirlwind with wrath of the wastes set? Can that do well?

Sadly, WW barb got nerfed big time due to the WWs and dust devils causing lag or some BS like that.
For now, the only viable builds are IK6/R4, certain LoN builds, and MOTE for 2.4.

That IK+Raekor SUCKS, maybe the worst build for barbarian ever ?
0 survability and 100% RNG dependent on guardian and rift. Most idiot build ever.

Actually, I find people who say this actually suck at running this build efficiently and in their frustration tend to blame the setup and not themselves. Granted, it is your typical glass cannon barb and it does take some skill compared to other mindless builds, but with a couple of tweaks it's easily the most powerful barb build this season if done right. I mean, if Chainer beat GR88 to get rank 1 that should be enough to contradict the TC's whining.

MOTE = Might of The Earth

    Thanks for the replies everyone.

I was working on a solo GR build that basically drops F+R and stacks DTE through gear. I've been at GR66 for a while as an IK6/R4 barb, but the build is extremely squishy even @ 44 mil toughness and RA 1100+. My goal this season is to beat GR70 so things are still a work in progress and I got quite a few more PLs (currently at 654) to gain before that is really attainable for me.

    Hello Diablo frens,

Was wondering if anyone can shed some light in regards to stacking DTE on followers (diamond in Sun Keeper or furnace, unity, SoJ, etc).

Is it additive to your character's (furnace cubed, unity, and SoJ) or multiplicative or just capped?

If this question has been answered already, sorry -I was not able to find the thread that does so.

    Cheers!

Complete Acts 1-5 at T10 level in an hour for the conquest!?

I would say yes. Those with really good speed builds and high PL will roll through it easily.
