The problem is that they are not PoE players ranting about other games. They are actually Diablo fans that have grinded this game a lot and eventually decided to quit because of lack of new content and gameplay issues. They switched to PoE, WoW or any other game and they are giving their opinion on the current state of D3 after experimenting other things. I haven't ever played PoE but i might just try it out.

No those are the players that can't even solo a 70 and claim that they have played d3 a lot. Sorry but no.
Listen all you have to do is look at my armory. I've played WoW as a hardcore raider for some time before i quit that game, I played d3 and made top 10 in S3, S4, and s10. Not many people I have come across that talks smack D3 is a good player that had switched to PoE. This is simply false.
They're not giving opinions they are being bigoted and hateful towards D3 players for no reason. In this the general public of PoE are simply children. Like i said I have played both games and played them well and i have experienced both communities. If all you do is go to a Diablo fansite and bash players and a game, maybe you should direct some of your free time to the game you're actually playing and then those people would probably be better players and people.
There is a massive difference between D3 casual play and D3 competitive play. Only people who play for leaderboards and push in group grifts know this difference. There is a huge difference between grift 60 and a grift 105 solo. Not only in terms of how good your gear is but how you approach the grift.

If you're playing D3 for nothing other than the leaderboards, you are missing the whole point of the game. It's supposed to be a fun hobby, not something to cry about once you realize your empty life isn't filled by accomplishments in a computer game. I ended up in a game with a bot last night and I wasn't complaining at all. It helped me get a ton of gear for my season wiz. I've been playing since D1 and all games are great. Perhaps if I was one of the best players then I too may be bored, but I play for fun and as of the last couple seasons am working to get all stash tabs. I got close last season and have beat GR 55 with 5 of the 6 required sets as of the time I post this. This will be my 2nd season to try for a stash tab and it should be my first time to get it. Pretty excited, not going to lie.

You sound mad. So if I want to play for leaderboards who are you to dictate that is wrong? More casual talk. The point of D3 is to grind and get the resources to push aka gain more power for your character. It's like that for EVERY single aarpg.
That's like me bashing you for not accomplishing anything in D3. It works both ways just because you're a casual and have a different opinion doesn't mean I'm playing the game wrong. What?
I don't care how you play the game but it always seems lesser players are always ready to get angry because someone decides to play the game differently from them. Why is that?

Both games has advantages and disadvantages. PoE is in great shape right now and will be insanely better with a huge 3.0 expansion (where all game difficulties are no more).

Necromancer, on the other hand will have people playin for maybe a week or two. Maybe a month to farm all ancient legendary gear and sets and that's all, it's exhausted. Diablo 3 cannot compete with any MMO atm because there is simply not enough content added. 1 reworked legendary in 3 months is not enough.

I dropped PoE about 2 years ago for the reasons stated above: shitty grapphics, awkward gameplay. But decided to return for current league and oh my gawd the game is so much better now. It's insane how it has improved over last 2 years. And leaderboards are just a small thing in PoE. there's racing events and such which happen during and between the leagues, plenty of stuff. Patches are daily. A lot of things to do. Do maps or farm cards or do prophecies or run in magic find gear or kill bosses. There's also 126 unique maps to explore lol. ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY SIX maps lol. I only cleared 56 for now and league ends in 2 weeks.

Both games are good, both games have pros and cons. But D3 is for people who want to grind and make leaderboards. More casuals are drawn to poe because of "diversity" and casuals make up the majority of the player base. D3 is a great game but needs a new face.

    Strongly disagree in this point.
D3 now is left for stubborn botters mostly. Leaderboards are long time ruined by botting.
+ some casuals who started playing seasons on console.
Most old competetitive players long time left to PoE, WOW and other games. Look at Alkaizer, Quin, Datmodz, Kripp, Empyrian, wudijo, Chainer. Some might be back (me including) when Necro comes out, but not for long.
PoE is not for casuals at all, casual will understand nothing there, the learning curve is waaay to complex. Of cause you can click your way through mercy but you know It takes a while to learn everything.

Botters have not flooded the leaderboard and if they did they will be banned anyway.
Alkaizer hates everything btw and chainer still plays... Datmodz and Quinn are playing WoW not Poe. Kripp likes to play mostly Hs. Most of these players are streamers. There is still a ton of competitive players that are on D3. Just because they don't stream doesn't mean they don't exist.
You were just talking about wow look how much maps there are in poe. 80 percent of the maps are not even worth running. The learning curve is not complex people are just idiots and don't understand what's going on. That sounds harsh but I never have had an issue with PoE and people i have played with don't have an issue with it. Gameplay wise PoE is simpler, you usually have a ton of auras up and spam one ability the entire time or you can even go far as making a build that just plays itself.
Another thing is you have a huge amount of PoE players that are obnoxious. They come to a d3 forum and talk shit LOL. Who does that? The only time I even go on the poe forums is to set up shop but i never thought of talking shit. Bunch of noobs who come in and don't even know about the game theyre playing, bashing on a game someone else might like.

I also really like the XP penalty in PoE. You actually need to watch your step and think twice before entering high level maps and some bosses. In D3 it's just straighforwards = you either fish for density or a boss. You die and resurrect and go on. In PoE if you die near end game you can lose a half day worth of XP.

That depends if you're casual and using a sub optimal build or simply not geared enough for the map you're on. I know what maps to aim for and never die. It's just a matter of holding your britches XD

Man races are so poorly implemented though. Last season we waited, and waited and after forming my atlas for experience i was done. lol
Yeah they have a lot of maps but the atlas system isn't designed for you to run all of them. You create an atlas for your needs. Like if you want certain maps to be higher tier, if you want experience etc. Want to run a thousand quays? leggo you know? And if you fuck your atlas you're forced to reroll, no resets.

It's better because at least you're actively pushing by making your character stronger and grift fishing (which decision making comes into play, are you smart enough to understand what mobs you want and can properly check through the next floors to see what you will get).

Yeah you can solo all day on PoE but the truth is the leaderboards are XP based, not through progression of tiered maps. That's boring. I can spend all day everyday grinding xp on PoE but that's not even in the least bit challenging. People just have a natural hate for d3 because they didn't want d3 they wanted a remastered version of D2.

I'm competitive so i prefer D3. Grinding for XP is all fine and dandy but that's not what kind of competitiveness i want.

GAME IS DEAD - dont buy it !
Community is basicly dead too... Most of top players moved on...

Try Path of Exile - IT IS what diablo 3 should be and its FREE and it will have HUGE expansion in 2 months also FREEEEEEEEEEEEE :) Only thing u can buy is stash tabs and cosmetics... Its much more complexed game than d3 tho so takes more time to get into it but on the other hand - I moved to PoE few months ago and STILL i know maybe 15% of game... D3- ull be bored after week of GRs..

    brain dead casual talk
Take it from someone who plays both PoE and D3. They offer slightly different things but are very similar. Most people who play talk about economy. Which is the driving force behind gearing your character, and optimizing. It's the same thing season after season. Get rich, buy gear and grind maps. Leaderboard exists but its on forum and only based on how high your level is.
D3 gearing path is through drops, using the cube system. Therefore it lacks an economy they use to have RMH but it was removed, but tards wanted it removed and once it was people cried. Leaderboards are better in d3. if you're into competition it's more fun. Which is why i prefer d3 than PoE but i still play poe regardless.
People complain about lack of build diversity but PoE is similar you simply have an illusion of having a ton of builds but all good players play the top builds for efficiency. Most builds cant grind the higher tiered mps so you have to look up which is meta.
The fun part about poe though is literally ruining the economy if you're good at it. you can easily control prices and cause inflation or devalue the hell out of exalts which happened last season.
They also are going in the direction of D3 and casualizing the game. they have to and was evidence of this in the form of new abilities that were released (blade vortex anyone) before the announcement of a console version of poe.

posted a message on Useless stuff all over the place.

how many games have you played at a higher level? There is ALWAYS abilities, gear etc that are simply weak. It's like that for most games and finding what works best is what separates a good player from a bad player. that can be applied to almost every single online game. in lol would you build iE on ziggs? no. In WoW if you get your bis legendary ring would you equip your worse legendary piece? No.

most people group those abilities as noob traps or things that aren't viable. Not every item or piece of gear has to be good for end game content. There might be another use though outside of end game content. But if they made everything good that would make for a very boring game. And for people who play at a high level it's pretty boring right now so.

posted a message on Why people are so obsessed with COSMETICS?

I like transmogs, nothing wrong with not wanting to make your character looking like a cracked out mofo.

I mean i can ask you the same question? What's the point of not wanting tmogs?

Everyone likes different things, long as it doesn't mess with gameplay etc. I don't see a problem with it. And if you have fps drops from a tmog in d3 you need to upgrade some parts or get a new computer. Because this game takes almost nothing to run.

posted a message on 1012 Zmonk LF SEASONAL clan to run with (only want a clan that will offer a slot in a group)

Currently lf a regular group to run w/.

My play times are typically mon-thurs from 5:30-11:30pm, with at least one of these days dedicated to grinding keystones.

Friday I push groups from 5:30pm-4:00am (maybe later) and Saturday from 4:00pm-4:30am (may dedicated time before 4pm to farm keystones).

I have played monk since s3, switching over from DH. I need an active clan, started season late and haven't really pushed solo yet, looking to this weekend and I'll probably make top 50 or so for monk. Higher if i get a better rolled gungdo and TP.

And when i say active, i stress this factor hugely, last clan I joined gave me false expectations and left within two days. If you're going to consider me, please have active members that want to group for speed 90s, 95s and push 100+.

I will use any form of voice comms.
