    Quote from Auluaden

Would you be this calm and complacent about other things, say, you get to the window at burger king and they tell you that you they don't know what's going on with your hamburger, but since you already paid, if you just wait a day or two, you'll be able to find out when you'll get it? Just saying. In this day and age, lack of communication is not a valid excuse. Sure, it's "just a book", but it wasn't "just a book" to the guy who wrote it, and honestly, some of the most historical documents were books. Not saying this is the declaration of independence, but still don't see a point to downplaying it as "just a book". Unfortunately, the lack of release means my book-date with a very cute, and very enjoyable chick has been canceled... since we were planning to meet up at the coffee shop and read it/discuss it. Now we have to move it to tomorrow, and find a new book. Disappointing to a very large degree, when you work 12 hour shifts and only get two days off a week... if you're lucky.
    What lack of communication?
Amazon does not have the book, they tell you.
IE finds theres an issue, they tell us.
IE gives us another updating saying friday at the latest
IE give sus another update, saying its on its way to amazon.

And as soon as Amazon get its in hand, see what they got, Amazon will be telling us.

Your example does not work...if im at a BK...they have the content there... in house.. they are not relaying on other companies... so why would that even happen?

I'm sorry OP, but you clearly don't understand one vital and significant reason for all the complaining all the time. The reason is that Blizzard is always misleading us. Everything they have said about the games development has been wrong on almost all occasions. They never give us a clear answer. If they don't know something, why do they always pretend they do and end up being wrong, they should just stfu and give us an clear and concise answer to the development process when they are 100% sure themselves instead of lying to us all the freaking time! This is what makes this long wait soo much more unbearable.
And the rest of us know that its a changing game lose on on inside information? no thanks.
Just because you dont understand that things can change, and that you can't handle it, does not mean the rest of us, that like knowing this kind of information should suffer from not getting it.

Most of us are upset not because the game is changing and/or being delayed, but because Blizzard is continually pretending to keep us in the loop with misleading, open-ended language.

I think we are running low on tin-foil hats..

Why do people keep trying to use this argument, you "KNOW" blizzard is pretending right? No, you don't. Most companies dont even bother to give half the information blizzard does. Blizzard cares about keep us up to date, and people that seem to not understand things change,
that cause blizzard to give "time frames" instead of dates now.

You know back in the day, blizzard gave exact planed dates, 100% exact to what they were hoping for, but they have to push them back and people would complain over and over about this, so what is the solution? blizzard no longer gives us exact dates until the game is pretty much going gold. And when they try to give "basic ideas" and "thoughts" about a release goal, we STILL get people QQing about everything they can about how they are giving us no information now, and how everything they are saying is to just "keep us happy"...

ps: you should reread the guy's post I replied to, as I understood it.

I'm also kind of confused by the length of the delay. Blizzard has more experience than 99/100 other development teams in the gaming industry, so how could they have miscalculated this so badly?

Yes they do have experience, and they know maken the best game possible is what they want.

People seem to forget, this is the same company that had an almost finished game, and 100% scraped it to never be released, because it was not good enough FOR THEM.

I trust blizzard more than any other company (while it seems more and more people dont know-a-days which makes no since to me) I know they will do whats best for the game, and make the best game they can, that meets their standards(and I like their standards)

    I would give you +5 if I could. I gave +1 and 5 stars.

I agree with almost everything you said. Except for Christmas. I used to work in retail/appliances store (that was also selling games) and I can tell you income in December is 3 times as big as in January. And December is one fine month to be selling stuff.
But...the point of this post...goes against what you said in yours...but you just said you agreed with it...

    my mind....its blown...

I have a feeling that anyway we won't have a release date before 2012, I wonder if the WoW annual pass has something to do with it.

They may have reasons to not announce the release date before the WoW annual pass offer ends and is set in stone. This offer ends the 30th December.
Theres not a tin foil hat big enough for you sir, well played.

I dont know why people are getting upset and canceling their preorders...thats so silly, its still on track for a q1 release date, which is what they pretty much said.

The time frame in the Op pretty much sets it to about what I figured as a date, late feb. Also "Up to 21 days" so could easily be done before then... time will tell as always.
